Chapter Twelve

Three days passed and I still hadn't gotten the divorce papers. Chris was yet to send then and I was starting to get concerned.

I mean he couldn't have changed his mine, could he?

I contemplated calling him the first few days or even send him a text message to remind him that I haven't gotten the divorce papers yet but then, I decided to hold on for a few more days. I mean it does take time to prepare divorce papers, right?.

Three days became a week and I knew I couldn't hold off on calling him again.

It was now late on a Sunday evening. My mom and dad were out on their weekly Saturday date so I was the only one at home.
