"The Alpha's are already at the pack Central, you're sure you don't want to come? It's your birthday too, after all." Marina asked for the hundredth time that I felt like my ears would suddenly burst from hearing it over and over again.

"Marina, you shouldn't be here and why does it matter if it's my birthday? Only the goddess knows what would become of you if someone is to see that you're acquainted with the weakest wolf in the pack." My voice was dripping of sarcasm as I readied my bow aiming towards a deer that laid lazily protecting her young ones oblivious of the fact that she might be my next meal.

"Don't talk like that about yourself, besides it was announced that any wolf that isn't would be annihilated. You know that." Marina nudged my shoulders just while I shot at the deer and it made my target quiver landing on the tree just beside the deer and it suddenly became alert, running off.

"You made me miss that." I ran by hands over my hair as I closed my eyes in frustration.

"Come on, let's go already." Marina coaxed and I let out a deep sighed while falling into pace with her.

"I don't just get it." My brows furrowed as I thought of what exactly I was going to do in a place where all wolves in our pack was present, it was more like going for a suicide mission.

The insults would come from every direction like it was my fault I ended up been an Omega when my parents were beta's.

Speaking of my parents, only if they were alive till this moment, then I might have been golden to them at least and people would have cut me some slack.

Darn the moon goddess—i hope she forgives me for that swear word— but did she have no atom of Mercy in her.

When I lost my parents, I was outcasted and treated like an inferior which I am anyways; but she just had to make me an Omega on top of that.

Everyone defeated omegas but the fact that my parents were gone it only got worse. I had learnt to adapt to it anyways.

"Earth to you." Marina waved in front of my face pulling me from my ocean of thoughts.

"Yeah?"

"You said 'you don't just get it's and I asked 'get what?' but you just suddenly went M.I.A. What's going on inside of your head again?" Marina questioned in curiosity as she stared at me.

"They are having the Alpha hurdle and they want other species of wolves to be present. They could have their Alpha Celebration without having to involve another rank.

I don't exactly feel good knowing that I'll be seeing the faces of all the grumpy looking Alpha's all through the communities." In reality, I didn't really care about the Alphas.

The only thing I cared about was having to listen to people who can't keep their mouth shut recount my entire life experiences to me. Not exactly a fun thing.

"Come on Katherine, don't be a bore. Think of it as celebrating your birthday, it's going to be fun. Besides, your dream of having to be a Luna might turn out to be reality if you get mated to the Alpha's there." Marina grinned from ear to ear and that caused the corner of my mouth to tip off in a light smile.

Marina was and is the only person that beared to talk to me in the entire pack and though I tried to chase her off every time, she acted like a pest that cleaved to me for living.

When confronted while she was acquainted with someone like by her parents, she told them I was her best friend though I beg to differ.

It's not like I didn't want her to be a friend but I had gotten so acquainted with staying alone that it felt safe.

"I wonder what it would feel like to walk on the shoes of a Luna someday, having an entire pack look to me like their mum. Must feel nice." I muttered but loud enough for Marina to hear.

Goddess save me, I made a mistake of saying that in front of Marina. She would pick on me with that all day.

"Do not forget to make me your special handmaid, Luna." She mimicked a hoarse tone racing her shoulder up and did a slight bow which we both laughed to.

"They are examining the maidens, quick let's get in line." Marina pulled me towards the farther end of the line in stealth so we wouldn't be noticed and in no time the Alpha that was examining was right in front of me.

Sniffing me!! Goddess, did nobody teach this Alpha boundaries.

Can someone tell him to stop sniffing me?

"You!" He grunted and my eyes widened as I instinctively placed my hands on the top of my mouth, did I say that out loud?

"What about me?" I found myself asking and Marina was standing beside me pinched my palm. I shouldn't be questioning this man, he was Alpha Xavier Moonwillow, the new Alpha of Greyhound Pack.

"Weakling." His voice was insulting and I rolled my eyes. If he thought that would make me upset, then he has to take cussing lessons from the members of my pack. He has to do better.

"Well, thanks my Lord for the birthday gift." I stated and gave Marina a glare. She was the reason I'm here in the first place.

Wait a minute, his eyes!

It was freaking glowing—blazing rather— his inner wolf was peaking and that only happened when....

Marina gasped as the realization also struck her.

"How possible is it for the moon goddess to mate me with a weakling? An Omega?" He mocked saying it out loud for everyone to hear and the laughter that came forth made me feel like there had to be a possible way for me to disappear.

The moon goddess has to be a bitch because why—i hope she forgives me for that— why would she mate me with someone as egoistic as this?
