Chapter Three

   A Crush 

Adriana's POV.

Chapter Three.

I walked towards her and Sat down on the bed, Crosslegged beside her, all this while I noticed that she was staring intensely at me.

   " What? " I inquired.

" I should be asking you that, you know. " She Replied.

  " oh! " This was the only thing I could say.

" oh? Won't you tell me why you spent an hour in the Shower, or are you... "

" I think I have developed a crush on someone. " I suddenly said interrupting my cousin, Sia.

 " What! " She exclaimed Suprised.

" When? , How and on Whom? " She asked.

 " Calm down Sister Sia, I only told you that I have a crush on Someone and not that I am getting married, alright? " I said.

" I know but it's still a Surprising thing for you to admit that you've got a crush on someone, it doesn't happen every day, Kay? " 

  " Hmmn. "

" So tell me about this guy. "

" Who? " I asked Feigning ignorance.

" The one you are Crushing on. " She replied.

" Oh! How sure are you that it's a guy that I am crushing on and not a girl, uh? " 

" Really? Are you trying to play hide and Seek with me, Riana? "

 " Why would, I? " I asked innocently.

" Okay, Since you are not willing to talk then I think I'll have to leave now, bye. " She replied in a serious tone.

" No, no! Wait. " I said stopping her from leaving.

" Oh? " 

" Well, I don't know him. " 

" How can that be possible? " She asked confused by what I said.

" Actually... " I started narrating everything that happened earlier in school to her in detail not leaving anything out, When I was done I realized that Her face was already red with anger.

" How dare she do that to you! " Sister Sia inquired angrily referring to the Bully girl.

" I don't know but don't worry as I have got that covered. " I replied Winking.

" Oh! Do you mind sharing your plan? " 

" Hmmn... " I replied as I told her about my plans on how to punish the bully girl.

" Perfect! " Sister Sia cheered after I was done Telling her about my plans.

" Thank you! " I replied Smiling.

" So what are you going to do about your crush, Riana? " 

" Am not sure yet but I'll see the way it goes. " I replied.

" Okay. " Sister Sia replied Dazed.

" What are you thinking about, Sis? " I inquired.

" Well, it's nothing much I was just wondering, I didn't expect this day to come when you'll finally tell me that you've got a crush on a guy, it's quite unbelievable,  you know. " 

" Yes, I wasn't even expecting it too but you know at that moment when I thought I was going to fall flat on the ground and he saved me, I immediately felt something that I haven't felt before, it's like my heart is starting to reopen to feel. " 

" Hmmn, I am so happy that this day came. " Sister Sia said happily.

I understand her joy as it's been a while since I have been able to open my heart, I am not born a bookworm but the situation turned me into one, My Dad Abandoned my mom leaving her all sad and Depressed which broke my heart, I loved my Dad as he always cared for me and always made sure to attend to all my needs, he was like the perfect father to me, he was nice, kind and easy going, he also loved my mom so I didn't know what led to him cheating on my mom, perhaps it was because after giving birth to me, my mom couldn't conceive again as she hit her Menopause very early which was very unusual, but still I felt that what my Dad did was very wrong, just because my mom couldn't conceive again doesn't give him the right to cheat, He could have just talked it all out with my mom and they would have found a solution to that, maybe they could adopt a Child from the Country's orphanage or they would have done something else.

  What pained me most about what happened was that My Dad didn't only cheat on my mom with any other woman but my Mom's childhood best friend! , What he did made the love and respect I had for him evaporate into thin air, After what he did, he came home one day requesting a divorce in the name of, My mom's best friend was already Pregnant for him and he couldn't abandon her during the when she needs him the most.

  

My mom felt so hurt and Broken but she didn't show it to him till he left after pecking my forehead, then I didn't quite understand what was going on till he left.

  That day, I noticed that my mom didn't come to my room to Check up on me as usual, Worried I went to her room to check up on her and by the time I opened her room door, the scene that welcomed me will always be vivid in my mind for years to come.

  My mom was on the floor in the pool of her blood, I just couldn't believe it, After she was admitted into the hospital after I called the Ambulance, it was later found out that she attempted Suicide by Slitting her Wrist and that she was very lucky to have been brought earlier or she would have died from Immense blood loss, After she was discharged from the hospital, My mom was advised to go see a therapist and that's what she did, there it was found out that she was suffering from Chronic Depression.

  Through her Recovery period, we stayed with my mom's Younger Sister as we were advised not to live alone so as for what happened not to repeat itself.
