"You aren't going to make me go alone, are you?" Lenny asked in an annoyed tone.

Elizabeth shook her head and followed. Lenny stopped when they reached the fourth floor, in front of Room 403.

"Elizabeth, your dress is truly beautiful today," Lenny said with a smile. "White suits you very well! If I were a man, I’d fall in love with you!"

"Thank you!" Elizabeth replied quickly. She had bought the dress in a hurry; it had cost her a couple hundred dollars.

Lenny grabbed Elizabeth’s hand.

"Mr. Lenzo is a very important client for us, so you must perform well tonight. This is a great opportunity!" Lenny said as she pushed Elizabeth toward the door. "Don't disappoint me."

"What? What do you mean?" Elizabeth was confused.

"I forgot to tell you," Lenny whispered, leaning close to Elizabeth’s ear, "Mr. Lenzo wanted to see you, not me!”

"What did you say?" Elizabeth’s entire body tensed up. She suddenly realized exactly what was happening.

"Play your part well, and don't disappoint me!" Lenny said as she swiped the room card. With a light shove, she pushed Elizabeth into the room.

"Ah!" Elizabeth was inside before she could even react.

The door slammed shut behind her. Lenny smiled as she looked at the door and quickly walked away.

Elizabeth fell to the floor and only reacted a few seconds later. She propped herself up against the wall, reaching her hand out toward the door handle.

"Sweetheart, you're finally here!" a man’s voice called out from beside her.

On the other side of the hallway were Chester and his assistant, Leigh.

"Mr. Yale, I think that was Ms. Renshaw just now!" Leigh said in a low voice.

Chester’s face darkened. His gaze was cold and threatening. He could recognize that woman even from her ashes.

A month ago, she had left Tinson Garden barely alive. He thought she would have died out there. He never expected her to show up here.

"Mr. Yale?" Seeing that Chester didn't respond, Leigh stopped walking and called out to him.

"You must be mistaken. That woman died a month ago!" Chester stared Leigh down.

Leigh didn't dare speak again.

"Help me!"

A woman’s cry for help echoed through the hallway.

Although it came from behind a door, it wasn't muffled in the slightest. The voice was coming from one of the guest rooms.

Chester walked faster, pretending not to hear.

"Mr. Yale, the room Mrs. Lopez arranged for you is just ahead," Leigh reminded him.

At the mention of the Lopez name, he became slightly annoyed. If his mother hadn't specifically requested it, he never would have attended the Lopez banquet, nor would he have stayed here.

"Let’s go," Chester said in a chilling voice.

Leigh pulled out the room card in advance and kept walking.

With a "click," one of the guest room doors suddenly flew open. A panicked, terrified woman stumbled out in front of them, her hands covered in blood.

Chester’s face turned pitch black.

The battered woman standing before him really was Elizabeth!

They stood face to face as the woman’s expression froze. In her hand was a jagged glass shard from a broken beer bottle.

Elizabeth looked at the man in front of her. The words "help me" got stuck in her throat. She fought the urge to let them out.

"What the hell! How dare you attack me! You must have a death wish!" Mr. Lenzo, who was injured, was raging behind her. He lunged toward Elizabeth like a rabid dog.

Seeing this unfold, Leigh wanted to step forward and intervene. However, he noticed Chester’s gaze shoot toward him and he stopped in his tracks.

"Let go of me, you—!" Without warning, Elizabeth was dragged back into the room by her hair.

"Help me!"

Leigh wanted to help, but Chester had no intention of staying.

"Let’s go!"

Their room was three doors down. Leigh swiped the room card distractedly.

"I like it quiet!" Chester said with a cold expression as he entered the room. "Tell the manager there is too much noise on the fourth floor!"

Leigh immediately understood Chester’s intent and quickly went to carry out his orders.

Inside Room 403, Mr. Lenzo threw Elizabeth onto the bed. His forehead was gashed and his face was smeared with blood. It was the first time in his life he had been attacked by a woman!

"You must have the heart of a wild animal! How dare you act that way toward me!" Wiping the blood from his face, he suddenly became worked up. "I'll show you what a wild animal looks like today!"

"Mr. Lenzo, I’m sorry. I didn’t do it on purpose! Please, let me go!" Elizabeth retreated toward the edge of the bed.

Her bloody hands stained the sheets. She was terrified.

"Let you go?" Mr. Lenzo growled and lunged onto the bed. He grabbed her with one hand as he loomed over her.

"Let go of me!" Elizabeth tried to resist, but all her efforts were in vain.

Mr. Lenzo began to pull at his own clothes aggressively, but at that moment, a series of knocks came at the door.

"Who the hell is disturbing my moment of pleasure!" Mr. Lenzo screamed.

"It’s the hotel manager. Sir, please open the door!" The knocking outside continued.

Mr. Lenzo flew into a rage as he got up from the bed.

When he opened the door, the hotel manager was standing there with a smile. Upon seeing Mr. Lenzo’s blood-stained face, the manager's smile froze.

"Sir, did something happen? Do you need help?" the manager asked nervously, peering into the room.

"Scram! Don’t bother me!" Mr. Lenzo shouted, preparing to slam the door.

"Sir, a guest has complained about noise coming from Room 403. Did something happen?" The manager held onto the door.

"Scram!" Mr. Lenzo shouted again.

Elizabeth scrambled off the bed and ran toward the door, regardless of how she looked.

"Help me!"

The hotel manager’s expression froze completely. The woman in front of him was covered in blood. She didn't look like this man’s companion. He didn't want to anger the guest in front of him, but he also didn't want to upset the guest who had made the complaint.

"Mind your own business!" Mr. Lenzo pointed at the manager’s nose. "If you’re smart, get out of here now!"

The hotel manager gave a tight smile while secretly pressing the emergency button. Only ten or twenty seconds passed before three or four security guards came running over.

Leigh stood a short distance away, watching as the woman was led outside. Only then did he return to his boss. Chester was standing in front of the glass window, looking out at the skyscrapers.

"Mr. Yale, it’s settled."

Leigh didn't leave after finishing his sentence.

"Is there something else you want to say?"

Leigh hesitated. "What do we do about Ms. Renshaw?"

"Who is Ms. Renshaw? I don’t know her!"

Leigh knew better than to say anything else. He nodded quickly and prepared to leave.

"I don’t like this city. We’re going home immediately," Chester said, preparing to depart at once.

Chester was in no state of mind to listen to Elizabeth’s pleas. His slightly trembling hand continued to grip her neck. His fingers were practically about to touch."You can't do this to me!" It was eleven o’clock at night at Tinson Garden.A dark shadow cut through the peaceful landscape, splashing into a puddle."Mr. Yale!" Leigh Lambert, the assistant, exclaimed as he pushed open the door in a panic. "Mrs. Yale is—"Before finishing his sentence, Leigh realized he had misspoken and immediately corrected himself: "Ms. Renshaw is having another tantrum!"Chester clenched his fists and stormed up the building.Inside the room, Elizabeth Renshaw leaned against the windowpane, her face pale. She gripped the edge of the glass with one hand. Due to her low blood sugar, she felt weak and was trembling.Three days ago, Chester had taken her from the airport. Since then, she had been locked in this room like a prisoner, completely isolated from the world with no internet or mobile phone."I want to see Chester!" she screamed toward the door. "Otherwise, I’ll jump right now!"Chester stopped in his tracks. He had never hated that woman’s voice more than he did at that moment."Mr
