view more"Not too much, please.." Aurora said as she watched the counter attendant pour more blue cocktail wine into her glass.
She smiled slightly as soon as the glass was handed to her, and she began to sip slowly, patiently surveying her surroundings with her nicely shaped cat eyes, which were concealed behind a pair of sunglasses and a flat hat that partially covered her face.
The bar was intimidating, yet calm, as all the big Mafia lords and tycoons seemed to be having a private meeting at the large VIP bar on the first floor of the building, and Aurora just knew that she had to be there.
At least to get some information about what brought her into this mess – this journey.
She got up immediately and walked calmly into the elevator, not to alert the security guards, but then it did.
"Where are you headed, young lady?" One asked immediately. He saw her moving into the elevator, as it was evident that she was entering the restricted area.
Aurora immediately pulled an act to convince the guards, as her acting skills were not to be underestimated.
"Ah gosh it hurts.." she screamed slightly. And pressed on her stomach like someone who was undergoing an intense pain that could send one rolling on the floor in a matter of minutes.
"I really need to go see my husband now. Ah, it hurts so much." She continued and pressed the button for the elevator to move immediately before the guards could even reply.
'Dummies.' she muttered to herself as soon as the elevator got to the first floor.
"Who are you please?" A waiter asked upon seeing her alight from the elevator.
"Your worst nightmare." She said and immediately covered the waiter's mouth with her left palm and twisted his right hand with her right hand, then she abruptly hit the waiter's back with her knee to make the waiter suffer from severe back pain.
The waiter screamed in agony, but due to her hand covering his mouth, his screams were unheard.
She threw him to the floor and continued to walk calmly through the hallway with her sunglasses still covering her perfect eyes.
After some time, she arrived at the room where the VIP bar was and scanned the area for any guards, but there were none.
She seized the opportunity and leaned slightly on the door, then she began to eavesdrop on the conversation inside the room.
Just as she had guessed, a meeting was being held there, and to make listening easier for her, the music was turned off. She could then hear the voices of some men – old and young.
"Don't you think the metal is so precious to be left in a safe all alone." One said. The voice sounded quite cunning and old, and she wondered exactly what 'metal' he spoke of.
"What makes you think it's in a safe." Another voice said. The difference was that this one was calm but rather indifferent in tone, and the way the voice came across made it evident that the owner must have exuded a very dangerous and indifferent aura.
"I think this discussion should come to an end now." Another old voice came. "If the Blackwoods' have it, then I think it's better that way."
"But he isn't telling us if it is or not.. that's the issue here." The first old voice she heard protested again.
"That's very true, but we all know how young Master Blackwood here is. So I hereby conclude that this meeting is over until another graceful day." The other older man replied.
Aurora immediately got alert and attempted to rush into a corner to hide, but unfortunately, there was none, and the men began to walk out one by one.
She swallowed hard as they all looked at her with disdain, like the intruder that she was.
"Whose whore is this?" She heard the young voice she had heard earlier and looked up to see a demi god in human form.
Their eyes met, and for some seconds, the world seemed to stop. His sharp eagle eyes and her very charming cat eyes seemed to make a bright spark in between each other.
"Ha ha, so sorry." A man in his late thirties, obviously a tycoon, walked over to her with an awkward smile and suddenly turned to her with an evil glare. "She's mine."
Aurora swallowed hard as he pulled her over to the elevator.
"What on earth did you hear, you bitch?" He pulled her aggressively into the elevator as he cursed silently.
"I will punish you dearly, ha ha.." He didn't take his hand off her, giving Aurora no chance to escape, coupled with the closed doors of the elevator and his painful grip on her wrist.
She decided to remain calm and to wait for the right time.
There would also be a right time…right?
She nearly began to panic.
"I will show you that a whore like you should learn to mind her own business." He said and pushed her over to his bodyguards.
"I told you both not to let this woman off your sight, but you both failed dearly. Get her to the mansion now." He said and turned to head back into the elevator. "And don't forget to tie her legs and hands."
He turned to Aurora with a devilish smirk. "Wait for me, my dear little witch."
With her current state, Aurora knew she had to think fast unless this selfish and shameless tycoon would serve her.
She waited until the guards took her out of the bar so she could freely take them down.
One by one, she smacked them down with her fighting skills, and she didn't for one-day regret training with her cousin, Alden, as it always came in handy for her every single time.
"Hey, get back here, you witch." The guards cursed as she took to her heels, leaving their blurry sight as they lay on the ground in agony.
She rushed into the quiet street and pulled out her dagger; then she hid it behind her as she approached a motorcyclist.
"Get off!" She commanded.
"What? Who are you?" The motorcyclist asked in fear as she drew the dagger from her pocket.
"No questions, no get off." She demanded again and pushed him off forcefully.
She got on the bike and didn't hesitate to start the engine, zooming off immediately into the busy road.
Her heart raced as they rode above the limit, but she didn't care. She was running for her dear life as she realized that she had just gotten herself involved in something so deadly…
She didn't understand what was so special about that piece of metal – That coin.
And why was it called the blood coin? She still didn't know, and she was never told.
Was it all just a dream? Or was she just being deceived?
Everything seemed fishy, but she couldn't figure out how.
Her boss had warned her not to let any of them catch her or even spill out the name of the media company she worked for, or else they would abandon her…
Why did it have to seem so unrealistic, but yet it was reality?
But no matter what, she knew that she had to go on this journey.
The journey through reality and fantasy…
“Take, wear this .” Julian said a tossed a small pack to her on the dinning.Aurora picked it up and opened it to reveal a ring. She hesitated to put it on but eventually did and it was the perfect fit.“If anyone asks, that's our wedding ring.” He said and continued to eat his breakfast.Looking at the ring, Aurora was such that the ring would have cost a fortune. She rolled her eyes and continued to eat.The time flew like the fastest birds and soon it was the time to leave for the event. Julian was ready, sitted on a sofa waiting for Aurora to be out. After two more impatient minutes, she walked out with makeup artists beside her.Her makeup looked so stunning and beautiful to the extent that her slightly tanned face had turned bright. And her dress?Oh God…It just fitted her so sexy curves to the extent that Julian nearly began to drool as she alighted from the stair like a bride to meet her groom. “You are ready?” He tried to stay composed as she approached him.“Yes, she repli
Aurora tried her best not to reply to him with an insult, so she turned back to her laptop.Julian cursed under his breath as she didn't reply. He had already gotten used to teasing her even though they had never met before, and Aurora was getting sick of it.Suddenly, Julian's cell phone begins to beep. He picked it up and frowned after seeing the familiar caller ID."Hello son." The caller said."Hello, Father," Julian replied coldly and indifferently."The family get together is tomorrow and you are expected by everyone to bring in your bride so we know that you are capable of handling the clan as the future leader and also most importantly bring forth a heir.""And I do not want any more excuses, Julian. We want to see your bride tomorrow, and it should be so. Unless you'll be betrothed to the Chairman's daughter, Britney." The phone was aborted immediately, and his father spoke with the same indifferent tone – Like father, like son.Julian sighed, exhausted by the whole situation
A calm but firm knock was placed on the door, and Julian looked up in irritation, as he had always hated being disturbed."Come in.." he said and looked back down to continue his work. When he looked back up, the door was shut, and a lady stood before him."Hi, I'm Bailey, your new assistant." The lady said, and her look nearly made him laugh. He wondered why the Sultan would choose such an unattractive lady for him as an assistant."May I have your records?" He needed to find out more about her so he could determine whether she was a government spy.She handed him a card and some documents, which he began to scan. After twenty minutes, he handed them back to her."So you have only worked in a cafe, a car wash, a filling station, and no company?" His expression was irritation."Yes, but I have experience with assisting and I'm very fluent with several languages." The lady said firmly without a smile on her face. It was as if she was a man in a woman's figure. She had a lovely figure w
She took out a handbag that was lying on its own in her big travel bag and squeezed the document and card into it.She turned once again to the mirror, all dressed up and ready to say goodbye to her new apartment – at least she wouldn't be back till midnight. After saying her prayers, she turned towards the door to exit and dashed down the long, broken stairs."Be careful, madam. You don't want to get yourself hurt, do you?" A young-looking man in his early thirties said.Aurora nodded expressionlessly and continued to walk as fast as possible."Can I give you a ride?" He asked, seeing her haste.Aurora sneered slightly as his audacity annoyed her.Firstly, he dared to ask to ride an 'unattractive woman.'Secondly, he seemed quite well-nurtured and pleasant, but he could also be a spy.The only difference was that he had on casual clothes. But neither less, a spy was a spy."Any problem? Don't you have a job perhaps?" She said without a string of emotion on her face."I was just tryin
The taxi stopped at the entrance of a large ancient Greece-like villa in an isolated area.Aurora paid up the driver and walked directly into the villa through the large gates."How may I help you, madam?" The butler asked as soon as he saw her walk through the gates."I'm here to see the great seer, sir. Is he home?" She asked with a polite smile and attitude."Yes he is, come this way, madam." He said as he gestured for her to follow him. They walked into the large villa and through the hallway.Aurora had never been into the old seer's villa before, but she had known him since she was little. And he adored her."Great one, someone is here for you." The butler informed the seer as they entered into a room surrounded by red curtains. The old seer was dressed in a long red garment, and his eyes were closed as he settled to meditate."Ah.. Aurora my dear, come in." He replied happily.Aurora raised the curtains at the entrance so she could go in to see the old seer."You finally come t
The Next Day"Hey girl." She picked up the phone with a bright smile."Gosh, Rory, I have missed you so so much.." A sweet voice said on the other line."Hmm.. that's something I know I can boast of." Aurora giggled as she used her right shoulder to hold the phone to her right ear to put on her pants."And how has my sweetheart been doing?" Claire asked."She's been good." Aurora chuckled, and her hand took the role of holding the phone from her shoulder. She placed her hand in her pocket and picked up the newspaper from the table.Although she wasn't a fan of reading newspapers, it happened to be a special delivery at the hotel for its customers, so she decided to check it out."So have you heard from Karl?" 'That idiot!' Aurora frowned slightly, hearing her question."Why should I want to hear from him?" She asked with irritation clear in her tone. She continued to scan the newspaper and figured that it revolved around the current happenings of the city."Do you know that he is get
