The reflective lights hit my face soon as the door opens, momentarily blinding me. That’s what I get from being kept in the dark for so long. I have to lift my hand to my face to shield my eyes from the reflection that was threatening to weaken my sight in some way. I was weak already, and adding that to it was suicidal too for me.
It’s been a while since that door has been opened. A while since I’ve had any chance to get a visit from someone which never has been friendly. Let’s just say I’m almost nearly starved before a meal is brought over to me. That has simply been my cycle.
I had to slowly put my hand down to adjust my sight to the light, and even though it took me a little while to perfect it, I eventually do so. The white walls, which was the only thing that I see whenever the door is opened, comes into view. And blocking the path was a figure whose sight I haven’t made out yet.
<“You seem to be restless these days, son. I don’t think it’s good enough for your state of mind,” Simon said to the young man pacing about close to where he was seated. He watched the young man’s movement from behind the cup of coffee he was taking a sip from, basically the black type which was his outright favorite. He couldn’t do anything about the action of the young man as agitation was clearly written on his face. It was understandable, though, due to the amount of pressure he knew the young man had of recent.Just when he had taken the cup from his lips, the young man finally stopped with the continuous paces, which somewhat gladdened him because he was a bit tired already of seeing him pace about like a lost soul.“I really want to stop,” A pause. And then, “but I don’t think I can,” the young man says to him, and he nodded in response to that even
Garrett ran as fast as he could out of the quarters of the beta on the way to the main quarters which wasn’t too far away. The high-pitched scream had not stopped yet, and he knew he had to get to the source of the sound in no time, already anticipating how he was going to handle the situation when he gets there.Right inside the main quarters, he went through the living area to head up straight to the upper floor where he was sure the noise was coming from. The scream was more audible now and it only made him more desperate. The hallway of the floor had two turns, which was the right and left side. But he turned to the right, his pace already increased until he got in front of a room. He pushed the door into the room open, and the sight he was met with was a lady trying to pin down a woman on a bed.The woman who was his mother looked like she was struggling to get out of the reach of the lady who had her held dow
If I’m to be honest with myself, having Garrett here some hours ago opened my mind to a lot of things. Mostly things I never thought of. Reminiscing through the points he uttered to sum up a theory made much sense now, and I can tell he has done a lot of thinking in associating the events that led to me being in here. The big theory of his was about a likely occurrence of the council not coming out clean. Something about there being a bigger picture to the reason the council ordered for the destruction of my pack. And one of his main points was questioning the reason a half-breed like me was deemed dangerous. When he had begun dishing out the points to me, I had been less interested in listening to it, until he made mention of that point about my identity. Maybe it seemed stupid at first because I had told him that everyone knows the reason for that. He then defended his point by asking me why had there not been an occurrence of a hybrid
“Let the girl be, Elder Damien,” the same voice said again, but it was obvious the elder wasn’t going to stop anytime soon. His grip on my hair only worsened. “It’s either you stop now, or I’ll be forced to make you,”That warning should have an effect, I hope. Well, it did have an effect as the elder finally leaves my hair alone. He then gives me a look that I have no idea of before he stands upright. Geez, I could feel the scalp of my head hurt in so many ways that I had to keep my cool from screaming in pain. The aftermath of the pull is so-so bad. When the old man turns around, it gave me enough space to see who my literal savior is. It took me a while, but I eventually could tell that it was the pack’s beta. Funny how I couldn’t associate the voice with him in time.In as much as he gives me the chills anytime I see him, I’ll rather have him here than have
The old beetle car pulled up in front of a tall building and out came Elder Damien from the back seat instantly, taking his time to look at his environment. It had been a long tiring journey of more than an hour and his aging body couldn’t have any more of sitting on a spot for such a long period. His new environment was the most familiar he could ever witness, so nothing of it seemed strange to him. Until he looked ahead to see a figure standing in front of the tall building.Normally, two guards were always stationed in front of the tall building, but there was an extra man there. What made the extra man stand out was the similar clothing to his and he could tell pretty well that he had a visitor. The car parked beside his, one he has seen beforehand, was enough evidence to it all.He nodded, and without further ado, began to walk up to the tall building to meet with the familiar visitor. He didn’t take his
It feels good that I can freely use my hands again even if it’s for nothing important. But that was all I wanted instead of having them chained like an animal — even if I’m one in some sense. Talk about the burns I used to go through as well. Still, my legs were chained, which sorts of prevented me from doing a lot of things. Like moving about, for example. But it doesn’t mean I haven’t tried to free myself from the chain to no avail. Each trial came with burns on my palms but I was fervent in it. I still have a question bugging me. And that is to know the reason the beta had to unchain my hands. I should consider it something that needs to be done, but with the beta’s incomprehensible acts, I have a feeling it was more than just unchaining my hands. But what could it be if it isn’t the ordinary situation it looks like? It’s been a few days since that crazy old man was here, basically with an intention I have no id
Someone is about to be in for a treat… and that’s if this works. And what I do, or have been doing, is sit still as I wait patiently for the showdown that should begin soon. Even though I have no advantage over time, I have cultivated a habit of keeping in mind the timing for my dosage. And by my mental calculation, I was about to get another anytime soon.I was nervous, and at the same time hopeful. It’s basically because I have a plan that I was about to unleash. Who knows what would happen in the next ten to five minutes? I don’t know, but I wish it turns out right because this could be the only chance I get in trying a shot. When the door opens, I hold in my breath to conceal how awfully tense I was. I have to remind myself that this should work. It really should.A man walks into my cell, who obviously is one of the guards, holding on to a tray. And on that tray are items I cannot see but wa
It took me about three minutes of navigation before I made it out of the building. I could have made it out faster, but being extra cautious, I had to take light movements to ensure I don’t encounter anyone in there. And luckily, I didn’t.The detailing of the building wasn’t any hard to go through, except for the white walls which I have no idea why it was designed that way. Seems to me like heaven before hell, if you know what I mean.Although I was shit scared right now, I couldn’t help but marvel at the hot sun that was penetrating my sight. It was like a beauty to behold. Unimaginable too, as it is the first time in two damn months that I’ll be seeing the sunlight. I had to cringe in no time as I wasn’t used to the sunlight anymore. And not to forget that I should be finding my way out of the woods.Without further ado I was running away from the spot I have been standing for a wh
