Chapter 1;

Imperial restaurant,

2:45pm.

Emma’s rolls Royce made a swift stop at the restaurant that stood boldly in front of her, the car door creaked opened, and tall legs was in came in clear view, Emma wiped the sweat that lingered on her forehead before frowning.

Her chestnut wavy hair was tied in a classical bun, still, layers seemed to peek out amid her collarbone, dressed in a creamy navy female suit, and she looked gorgeous. Compared to other female CEO around her age.

Her eyes stared at the huge restaurant and her lips twitched upward, the restaurant that her mother owned, correction, and the bistro that she now owned. It was passed down to her anyways.

And, now it was the same restaurant she was having her fifth blind date, what an ironic way to play fate with her.

With a deep sigh, she entered the restaurant, her high heels clinked the floor as she did so. An epitome of grace, beauty, she was flawless. Prefect.

Her emerald eyes surveyed the whole area, searching for a particular someone, her mother, for the past few months, she had been trying to set her on blind dates, was love supposed to even be forced?

"Emma." A feminine voice had called out, and Emma turned her head. Catching a clear view of her mother, she smiled a little, clutching her handbag firmly, she walked over there.

"Mother," She smiled formally, her eyes glancing to the man that sat opposite her mother, another blind date, she presumed and as always, she was right.

"Emma dear." Sadie, her mother smiled, pointing towards the man. "This is Jeremy."

She glanced at him, a frown emitting her lips, Jeremy? More like Jeremy smith. The CEO of the best flourishing game company, what in the heck was he doing here?

She was Emma Roberts, the CEO of GameInc, the second most leading game company in the whole world, and his company was the first, last time she recalled, they weren’t supposed to be collected in any era. They were supposed to be enemies.

"I will leave you guys to yourself, have a friendly conversation." Sadie flashed a smile, motioning to her daughter to be on her best behavior, knowing quite well, how she loved to mess around.

Emma frowned, taking a seat, she placed her hand bag on the chair, before turning to look at him, numerous times, had she been compared to this man, they were alike in their never ending love for making a mobile game, but different in every aspect.

She glanced at him, more like checking him out, his light-colored hair was scattered, making him appear hot, and his well ironed suit, made him look like a professional.

"Emma? CEO of GameInc," He smirked, and she wished, she could sweep it off his damn face, "It’s nice to see you in person, and you look gorgeous."

Had he complimented her?

Either still, she didn’t like that.

"I don’t think it’s acceptable if we become friends, last time I remembered, our company were nemesis, especially after, you copied my game idea," she smiled, somewhat mockingly.

His face flared up, and it made her amused. Quite pleased with herself. "For crying out loud, I did not copy your game idea. Is it hard for you to understand?"

"Ha-ha," She twirled with the bread that was placed nicely on the bowl. "If I may inform you, this is just one of the dates my mother sets up, meeting you was something I had hope for, and what I always say to all my dates, is get lost, nothing, I mean nothing would ever work out between us." She frowned, when he smiled.

What in the heck was wrong with this man?

Had he found her statement funny?

"Miss. Emma," The way, he said her name added fuel to the current discussion, he leaned on the chair, his eyes clamping shut before they bobbed open. "If I may also recollect, being here is none of my wish."

"You were forced here also?" Unknowingly, a smile had crept up her lips. "Who would force a remarkable CEO down to a blind date?" Her eyes twinkled.

He laughed a little bit. "My mother, don’t get me wrong." A smile appeared on his lips.

Sadie, Emma’s mother, watched from a rear view, her daughter was actually smiling on a date? Now, that was a miracle.

“Normally, I don’t always show up at her dates, but today. I was compelled to. Like a force driving me to” Jeremy frowned a little bit. "Don’t you find that quite amusing, Miss. Emma?"

Emma froze on the spot.

Words hanging out.

“And, now I regret it.’’ His face turned cold, the words piercing through her skin.

She had shivered.

Was this man insane? He had almost managed to make her heart skip. Now this, her heart burned with fury towards this alluring man.

She leaned on the table, batting her eye lids. "Regret what?" she had asked.

“What’s there not to regret about you?” His tone was sharp. Sharper than hers.

Fury burned up in her veins, flames of anger dancing in between her eye lids, standing up angrily, she reached for her bag. "That’s it, we are done here."

"Emma," Jeremy gazed at her every movement. "Surely, my words haven’t upset you, from what I read. The CEO of GameInc was not the type to mess with."

That arrogant smug appeared on his face, and so much she wished to slap it out.

Sadie had walked towards them, grabbing her daughter’s hand warmly. "Emma, is something wrong?"

Absolutely, she knew what her own daughter could do, last time; she had broken her date’s arm for directly flirting with her.

"Mother, I will talk to you later, I have to go now."

"Will Miss. Emma back down easily?" He smirked, dangerously.

That was it, she couldn’t take it anymore. This man was absurd, and someone needed to teach him a clear lesson.

Raising her hand swiftly up to the air, she lunged towards him with full speed, and soon, a heavy sound erupted in the air.

She had slapped him!
