Cathy sat quietly in her seat unable to ignore Ted’s presence when he sat so stiffly in the driver’s seat, clutching the steering wheel tight in his hands. He didn’t spare her a glance but from time to time his eyes dropped to the cuffs binding her hands together.

He pressed his lips into a thin hard line, his jaw remained locked and tense.

Cathy thought about saying something but what could she say?

Unable to deal with the awkward angry silence anymore she rested her head on the tinted glass and tried to sleep. But sleep would not come only her thoughts raced through her mind. The more she remained that way, the angrier she got. He had no right the act the way he was acting! She did nothing wrong. It wasn’t like she planned to be abducted. He didn’t want her, her brothers locked her up like a child in her room so pardon her if she was tired of being treated like a spoiled child or an unwanted toy.
