IVONNE'S POV

I stayed in the bathroom for a good ten minutes after I was sure Hector had left the room.

Not because I needed that long to change my outfit or fix my hair—no.

I was hiding from Hector.

Or rather… recovering from his growing effects on my senses.

The moment I sensed he’d walked out and the hallway door closed, I finally exhaled and leaned my back against the cool tiled wall.

Thank the Goddess the mind link was now shut.

Because earlier—when his voice had slipped into my head feeling warm, calm, and deep like it belonged in my bones—I’d nearly lost my balance. Literally.

My knees had gone soft like I was a teenager hearing her crush say her name for the first time. And there was a second where I was scared that i might actually moan out loud.

Dear goddess, I would have died from embarrassment if that had ever happened.

But could anyone blame me for reacting like that?

After all, I had never, ever felt anything like that in my life before, and that was because Mos

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    The deal

Ivonne's POV Well, Hector sounded Suspicious. Very suspicious. “Earth to Ivonne?” Justin waved his hand. “Where you listening? Or Did I lose you to your wolf brain?” “No, sorry. I’m here. Please Continue.” Thankfully, Justin easily slid back into the topic of the play. We agreed on the story structure, the tone, the target audience everything. Justin was proving to be thorough with his craft so working with him felt quite delightful. “Now We just need something big to launch it with,” Justin said. “A major event at your company that can anchor the show and translate the views into profit.” “That's true," I agreed. "But Like what?” I wondered. “Well…” He tapped the folder. “The upcoming campaign at your company should be a good anchor.” I frowned. “What campaign?” Justin looked at me like I had sprouted wings. “Ivonne. Mr. Archibald’s company has a massive campaign for the company every year. It’s practically famous. Tell me you knew that.” I blinked. Oh. Righ

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    A bond

Ivonne's povI take a step back. “You’re being ridiculous.”“And you’re being reckless,” he counters.“Oh my god, dess” I hiss. “You are literally impossible!”He steps closer. “I’m going.”“No, you’re not!”“You can’t stop me.”“I can try!”We’re nose to nose now, fighting like absolutely deranged people, and I suddenly feel my frustration spike so high I want to throw something at him.He is stubborn. He is infuriating. He is unreasonable. And I swear his wolf is enjoying every second of this.My voice cracks with irritation as I shout back:“I was just trying to work! Why do you have to make everything so complicated?”I stare at Hector, still feeling the anger of the argument buzzing under my skin. My chest rises and falls too fast, and he’s standing there—ridiculously calm now—like the storm that almost blew the roof off this room didn’t just happen between us.For a second, I’m honestly terrified we’re too stubborn to ever work. We clash like flint and steel every single time. M

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Justin's calls

Ivonne's POVMy thumb hovered over the screen as I stared at his name… and every instinct in me screamed that whatever this call was about—It was about to make my mood much much worse, so I just ended the call and continued my way up the stairs. But then, he started calling again, and i cut the call again and kept walking.By the time I reach the top of the stairs, Justin’s name flashes across my screen again, probably for the sixth time now, and I stand there in the hallway, feeling like my brain is being wrung out.I really can’t deal with any more problems. Not right now. Not after the parcel i had just recieved with all it's implications. So I do the only thing my exhausted mind can handle:I put my phone on silent, pray that he would be tired now, then turn toward my room, and began walking like a zombie, but the phone immediately starts vibrating again.“Oh, you have got to be kidding me,” I mutter under my breath as the ringtone vibrates relentlessly.I’m honestly surprised at

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    The rational mind

Ivonne's pov “What am I supposed to think?!” I screamed. “Tell me! Because I’m losing my Fucking mind!” And I wasn't even joking! I just felt a guttural instinct to spill blood!Lora held my shoulders even more firmly, as if she could sense my intent. “I know. I know Ivonne. I know that you’re hurt. And angry. And terrified. But listen to me—this isn’t enough proof. This is you looking at the worst possible explanation because you’ve been traumatized by everything he put you through.” Her words dug into me like sharp needles. Because deep down… I knew she wasn’t lying. “You’re desperate for someone to blame,” Lora said softly. “And after everything Lincoln did to you… of course you want it to be him.” My breathing slowed just a little. Not calm. But not out of control. “I don’t want him to be the murderer,” I whispered. “I don’t want any of this to be real.” “I know.” Lora squeezed my hands. “But you can’t storm into his room and accuse him based on this. That’s not ho

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Confronting Lincoln

Ivonne's pov “What if Lincoln paid the hospital to kill my mother?”Lora frowned in confusion. "Ivonne, I'm not sure what you mean -- wait Ivonne!" I didn’t even realize what I was doing until the sharp sound of tearing paper snapped through the dining room. Rip. Rip. Rip. I tore through the receipts like they were alive and I needed them dead. My hands were shaking so violently that a few of the pieces fluttered to the floor like snow. “Whoa—Ivonne!” Lora jumped from her seat, her eyes wide as she grabbed my wrist. “What in the goddess’s name are you doing?! Why are you tearing those?” I jerked my hand back, my breath ragged. “Because I know Lincoln killed her.” Lora froze. Completely froze. “Killed who exactly?” “My mother,” I spat, voice cracking as I tore through another receipt. “He killed my mother!” Lora blinked rapidly, her face contorting in shock. “Ivonne, what?! How—why—what are you talking about? Everyone knows she died from heart failure!” I let out an ugly, hys
