Chapter 39

I left the office on time so I could see Regina and possibly spend the night there but the smell of cigarettes aggravated my already bad mood and I just had to leave.

I didn't like cigarettes, everyone around me knows. When Abel was exploring different things and started smoking, I refused to tolerate it. I distanced myself quick and didn't even talk to him. He got the message and quit fast.

It wasn't me being health conscious or some bullshit like that. I just didn't like it. There was something about it that just disgusted me.

Now that I wasn't staying at Regina's, I didn't want to go home to Lilian. It would even be weirder if I went back to work after leaving a few hours ago. My strange actions would most definitely reach my dad's ears. Then I'll have to give an explanation as to why I was spending long hours at work despite being a newly wed.
