Chapter 5: Vampires and Hunter

As they reached the office and Reagan left the car, Yomiel drove towards the bar. It was already four p.m. and the traffic was heavy.

A few hours of driving patiently while bored and listening to music, he finally arrived at the bar.

The flickering neon lights with the words "This is a BAR" could be seen from the parking lot.

Yomiel walked towards the bar observing each and every one who enters. The guard stopped him for a moment, looked at him from head to toe.

"ID Sir, teenagers are not allowed here." The huge bulky man told him.

Yomiel chuckled and showed him his driver's license.

The bulky man looked at him and his Driver’s license. The shock was visible on his face "I can't believe you're already twenty-six Sir. Pardon. You may enter." He gestured towards the entrance as he handed back Yomiel's ID.

As Yomiel entered, he heard voices of girls that are talking. One of them was familiar and he focused on listening to it. But the whole place was crowdy and the music was too loud and he lost the familiar voice.

Yomiel's hearing is sharper than any regular human. He may have a bad eyesight but his hearing isn't that weak. He thought that maybe his sharp hearing skills was a payment for his poor eyesight. He was actually glad about it though. Reagan would complain about him not recognizing him from afar whenever he's not wearing his glasses.

As he entered, the music was very lively. People were dancing and some were making out and no one really mind about them. He sighed. It really does sucks to be a single. He saw an empty table and seat. It was where the victims died. He sat in there and the moment he did, four girls walked towards him.

He tries not to laugh as their clothing color coding was like those of the famous cartoon WINGS. Though he had already forgotten their names.

“Excuse me, do you have any other acquaintances that you were waiting? Can we have a seat? We’ll leave when they arrive and when our friend arrives. We never really expected this place to be this crowdy and all.” The girl in pink jacket and black skinny jeans with white rubber shoes asked him.

“Sure, go ahead. I’m not really waiting for anyone. Just… you know, letting the time pass by.” He told them.

“Oh, is that so, thank you sir. We hope we’re not bothering you.” The girl on brown T-shirt, ripped skinny jeans and sandals told him.

“Oh, not at all. It’s alright.” He replied. “Reagan would definitely be glad if ever he come here.” He thought.

Pink and Orange sat on his left side and Green and Brown sat on his right side. For now, he’s naming them by the color of their shirts. He was a poker face as he controlled himself not to wheeze.

“Thank you, sir, nice wig and costume. Are you roleplaying Kaneki Ken? Or the vampire Zero? Those contact lenses of yours were really cool. Did you buy them from Lenscon? That was a professional contact lese designer, that’s where we buy ours!” the one in green and from head to toe asked him.

He just nodded and smiled awkwardly. They really thought that he was just cosplaying.

“By the way, speaking of Lenscon, do you−“

A waiter then arrived and asked for their drink orders. The girls ordered just red wines and when it was Yomiel’s turn, Yomiel remembered what happened the last time he got drunk.

When he regained his consciousness, his dad’s lobby had turned into mess, his bonsais, zen garden, walls, and even curtains were all teared down as Reagan explained. All destruction he did on his twenty-second birthday had costs a million.

He was glad that only him, his dad and Reagan was there. He was so embarrassed. He didn’t know that he transformed into the Ultima wolf that time since it was also full moon. But that was the reason why he was living on a condominium right now. His mom wrote her a letter and had his condominium as a gift.

Now, in front of the waiter and the menu of drinks, he just ordered a juice and told them that he’s allergic to alcohol.

A few minutes later, he realized that he lost his mind already. He was supposed to be investigating the murder case. He wonders why did his dad had to summon Reagan. He then asked the girl if they’ve been there before but then they said that it’s their first time. Yomiel wasn’t sure if they really are telling the truth after all. And those people around them too were probably new in there too or they didn’t go in there last night. Finally, he thought that maybe he should talk to the manager and staffs.

As he was about to leave, he didn’t know that the girl beside him had poured something in his drink. They actually poured a lot already but it doesn’t seem to affect him earlier.

Then he saw the girl in white trench coat looking at him. He wondered if she had been in there already. When someone walked in front of him, the girl disappeared, he decided to follow her but suddenly he couldn’t move. He had been paralyzed. He felt like he was having a heart attack as everything on his surrounding had turned black.

Cassadie had been killing vampires on this bar for hours. Very tricky. They seemed to have learned how to conceal their auras whenever she was around. Right now, there were only four vampires left but she couldn’t find them. Her detector says four, meanwhile her compass that points randomly anywhere.

This means that the vampires were throwing their auras around the air that confuses the compass. Cassadie cursed. There could be more victims like yesterday.

Yesterday, she was only able to kill one as her ex keeps on following her around even today. He only stopped when she finally screamed at him in front of a lot of people. He must've fest so embarrassed and finally, she was at peace now that she's by herself, but the Vampires were such a headache.

As she stopped by in front of four people busily talking to each other, he noticed the guy on the middle of four girls had a white hair and red eyes. A vampire who didn't concealed his identity, she's lucky.

"Time to kill this vampire and save these ladies." She thought.

She was about to walk towards them when she noticed the girl on brown that put a powder on his juice, the girl next to her also poured powder again. The guy didn't seemed to notice as he was wiping his glasses as he looks up.

That was suspicious for Cassadie.

She later then decided to watch over them when the guy noticed her. He stood up, probably trying to run but he collapsed.

"A vampire won't be affected by any medicine by humans, even drugs. But this person just collapsed, does this mean he's a regular human?" She thought as she watched over them took him towards the exit. She followed them and made sure that she will not let them leave her sight.

“These girls are stronger, compared to a regular human. They carried the guy like he's just a bag.” Cassadie thought.
