LOGINThird person POV
Luckily for Haven, the preparations for the ball kept her dad busy till it was finally the day for the ball. She stood at a distance as she looked at Raven get dressed. Raven was heartless and cold, but she was a very beautiful girl, one who could sweep anyone off their feet, even ladies were attracted to her. She was still looking when her dad pulled her hair from behind, startling her. “You bitch you think you can slack away just because I haven't had your time”? He spoke and Haven shook her head. “I'm… I'm sorry”. She said. All of the commotion drew Raven's attention, causing her to walk towards them. “What's going on, why are you both by my door”? She asked and Haven's heart began to beat so heavily. She could tell that she was in a lot of trouble just by the smile on Raven's face. “I found this rat stealing glances at you”. Her dad said and looked at Raven with a smile. “It's been a while, what do you say we have a little bit of fun before the ball”? He asked but Raven hissed. “I'm not in the mood, you go ahead”. She said, surprising both Haven and her dad as she turned and began walking back. But when she got to a bit of a distance, she turned with an evil smile plastered on her face as she charged at Haven, kicking her so hard she was sent flying downstairs. Raven kicked her from the third floor, causing her to break her neck as soon as she landed on the floor. Raven looked at her dad and they both laughed before jumping down from the third floor to the ground floor where Haven was lying lifeless. They stood there for a few minutes and soon, Haven was back to life. “Took you long enough”. She heard her dad say before he pulled her by the neck of her shirt, causing her to stand up. She wasn't fully healed yet, so she was still bleeding from the back of her head but her dad didn't care at all as he slapped her hard on her face. He kept hitting her over and over again until there was nothing but weakness written all over Haven's face. He was about to hit her once more when Raven held his hand, stopping him. He raised his head and looked at her. “The ball is in a few hours, let's leave this until we get back". She said and he looked back at Haven before he nodded. “You just wait till we get home tonight”. He said and moved his face so close to Haven's, making her see what true evil looked like. “I'll make sure you forget just how many times you die tonight. Next time, you'll know to stay in your place”. He said before pushing her back to the floor. Haven remained on the floor for a little while before gathering enough strength to go back to the basement. As soon as she got into the basement, she fell to the ground and cried. She cried like this was the first time. She cried so much it felt like she had lost her voice. She knew they could hear her, she knew they would be jolly, feasting from her sorrow but she didn't care. It hurts… she was hurting and there was no way she could hide it anymore and for the first time since she was informed about Urian, she suddenly wished deep down that he'd actually pick her even though she knew that was impossible. She knelt down and spread out her hands, ready to pray to the moon goddess but no words could come out. Her hands fell in defeat as she spoke. “What's the point? You never answer me anyways”. She said as she fell back to the ground. She wasn't really sure what she had done to annoy her dad so much this time around but she thought about it and said. “It's not like he's ever needed a reason”. Urian was contemplating on going for the ball or not. He wanted to focus on finding this mysterious girl but since he was already expected as the supreme alpha, he decided to go even if he wouldn't stay long. After a while, he and Simon got into their helicopter and they were on their way. Valerie was supposed to go with them but Urian instructed that she stayed back and tried everything she could to find the girl. For all they knew, she could be a witch, just like Valerie. It would have taken about four hours for them to reach the Golden pack, but with the helicopter, they were there in less than one hour. Since they arrived when the ball had already started, the sound of the door drew the attention of everyone in the room as they all turned to look at the two good looking godlike men who just walked in. “My goodness, the supreme alpha is as heavenly as they describe him”. “I see why they are brothers, they look like fallen angels”. “I hope one of them chooses me as their mate tonight”. There were so much whispers and admiration in the hall as every lady present was drooling over the two lycan brothers. But as soon as Urian walked in, he felt his heart seize for a moment and then an unexplainably pull as he raised his head to look upstairs. But as soon as he looked up, the pull was gone. 'what was that'? He thought to himself but got distracted by Alpha George who walked up to them to greet as well as the other alphas from other packs who had arrived earlier. “It's good to see you outside your pack alpha Urian". Alpha George said and Urian simply nodded. Suddenly, a smell intruded his nose and his wolf almost came out, startling the men who were around him. He looked at them and immediately spoke. “Excuse me”. He said as he began going upstairs. The more he moved, the heavier her scent filled up his nostrils. He could feel her so closely. Close enough that his wolf wanted to jump out in the next minute. 'will I recognize her in this crowd? Is this truly happening or is the moon goddess playing tricks on me'? So many thoughts filled up his mind as he kept moving upstairs. While walking up the stairs, a lady slipped and just when she thought she was going to fall down the stairs, Urian caught her just in time. He looked at her, wondering why a woman would be so clumsy but as soon as the hood from her cloak fell off and he saw her eyes, his eyes opened wide. “You…”Third person POV Luckily for Haven, the preparations for the ball kept her dad busy till it was finally the day for the ball. Haven's POV I could feel the veins from my eye, head, and every part of my body pull back as my heart began to form again and blood began to circulate again. I could hear Raven yelling but I was too weak to say anything. “Why the fuck would you do that? You could have just squeezed her heart. Did you have to pull it out”?She asked, yelling at him but he looked so calm. “I thought you guys were friends”?She said and for the first time, I saw Raven looking confused. I could hear Andy chuckle but I couldn't see his face. “Please, I could never be friends with such a weakling. Someone who has never met her wolf? That's ridiculous”.He said and tears began to fall from my eyes. I wasn't supposed to cry, not for an asshole like him, but I couldn't stop it. “I only hung out with her to get closer to you”.He said but Raven didn't look too impressed. Of course she wouldn't be, not because she cared about me, but because she felt played. She probably felt she was playing him and pus
Haven's POVThe sudden pour of a cold bucket of water on my body woke me up. I immediately sat up, only to see Raven standing in front of me with an evil smile on her face and her hands folded. “You don't expect me to make breakfast, do you”?She asked and I immediately stood up and shook my head. I spent the whole night healing and some parts of my body was still aching. I was definitely not ready to get beaten again. At least, not this morning. “I'm sorry, I'll get to it immediately”.I said and was about to walk past her when she grabbed my hair, pulling me back. It hurts like hell, but I couldn't hold her hand or try to free myself as that was only going to annoy her even more. “What is this? Why are you being all bitchy this morning”?She said and I immediately shook my head. “Please, I didn't mean to offend you”.I said and she smiled before throwing me back on the bed. She walked towards me and I moved to the wall, fear evident on my face. Yes, I was weak, yes my spirit
Urian's POV I jolted up from my sleep just like I have been doing for almost a year now. It all started in the first week of April. I wasn't sure what it meant just yet, but my dreams were always filled with nightmares of a girl who's face I could not see clearly being killed over and over again. The dreams kept me up most hours of the night, almost like someone was trying to pass me a message but this time around, it felt worse. I could feel every pain and every anger. At first, I thought it could be my mate, but it made no sense as I was already destined never to have one. Plus, even werewolves who have found their mates could not feel their pain this much let alone, I who have never seen her before. I asked Valerie, my packs witch about it and she said all she knew is it was related to the prophecy but even with all of her powers, she also couldn't find this girl. I could feel the sweat dripping from my face because of the nightmare I just woke up from. Looking outside the w
Haven's POV I needed to know what was going on because most of the time, it would result to me getting more punishments. Going to my usual spot that had a bit of an opening so I could see and hear a bit, I remained as silent as I could as I tried to see what was going on through the woods on the floor. “What brings you here alpha George”?Dad asked and I finally understood why dad quickly hid me. Alpha George was a pretty peaceful alpha and if there was no need for it, he didn't allow violence within the pack especially not within families. Since Dad was one of his trusted elders, of course he couldn't let alpha George see me like this as it would get him in crazy trouble. “I'm sorry to bother you when you should be out having fun and hunting with your daughters”.He said and I swallowed as the word hunting was very traumatizing. My dad smiled and shook his head. “My girls are pretty tired tonight. Haven is already asleep”.He said and I couldn't help but admire how he lied so
Haven's POV I knew better than anyone that it would be better to fall off a cliff than get caught by the two wolves that were chasing after me. But even with how scared I was, I already knew how it was going to end. My dad and Raven, my twin always enjoyed using me as a hunt tool. Since I couldn't shift, and they knew I was gifted the power of immortality, they'd chase me every full moon and tear me apart knowing I wouldn't die. Every full moon, I go through the same kind of torture but my everyday life wasn't any better. As I ran through the woods, breathing ever so loudly, I hoped with all of me that they would not get me but as usual, it was all in vain. I was still running when Raven jumped at me from behind, falling me to the ground. Soon, I saw my dad come up to me and as I closed me eyes for the inevitable pain, I heard Raven speak. “Slitting your throat would be too easy tonight”.I opened my eyes and noticed she and my dad had shifted back to their human form. My hear
