Amelie's POV.
What Alpha Rexton did really endangered me. What happens if Matilda suspects me and our relationship is not good? I don't want to be enemies with my own siblings even though Matilda is not my biological sister.
The woman's voice continued to echo in the room, her knocking on the door became louder because I didn't open the door for her.
I straightened the clothes I was wearing, my hands ruffled my hair so that it would be clearer that I had just woken up from sleep. Yes, that's the excuse I wanted to use after opening the door.
My hand grabbed the doorknob, I was a little surprised to see that Alpha Rexton was also there, not far behind mom.
"What is it?" I asked, then pretended to yawn to strengthen my case.
"Waking up Amelie!" The woman left and went into her room.
Now I can breathe more easily because Matilda or Mama didn't ask any further questions. Matilda immediately went into the room and Mom headed to the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Alpha Rexton was still standing in the same place. My eyes met his for a few moments before I rolled my eyes because I felt lazy with him.
Without saying anything, I immediately went up to the second floor of the house and headed to the balcony. The laptop and a half-full glass of tomato juice were still up there.
"Idiot! I shouldn't have left the room before Matilda and mom came back." I curse myself. "Why did I have to leave the room earlier?!" I'm annoyed.
"You know and you want it." The wolf in me spoke up, in no way making me feel any more relieved.
But what the wolf in me said was true, what Alpha Rexton did was truly crazy. Even though my mouth keeps saying no, actually inside me also want it.
Due to what Alpha Rexton had done earlier in the room, I couldn't focus on my work. Images of the pleasure that Alpha Rexton gave me kept spinning in my head. He really drives me crazy.
From up here, I can see the wide expanse of grass behind the house and also the tall trees that border the edge of town with forests and other pack areas. When my eyes accidentally looked far away, I saw Matilda pulling Alpha Rexton's hand, I didn't know where they were going.
"Should I follow them?" I asked quietly, to be honest I was curious.
I shook my head, hoping that thought would also be knocked out of there. They are a couple, I shouldn't be wondering what they will do. Maybe they will go somewhere and enjoy time together, remembering that in this house there is mom and me too.
My eyes returned to the laptop screen, my fingers started dancing, typing each letter to form words and sentences.
As hard as I tried to divert my thoughts, I just kept thinking about them. Where do they go? What do they want to go there? What will they do there?
"Argh!" I'm annoyed because Alpha Rexton and Matilda keep disturbing my thoughts. "I'd better take a nap first."
Before going down, I drank the remaining tomato juice until it was finished. Dirty glasses and laptops were taken downstairs.
Not going straight to the room, I first went to the kitchen to put the used glass of tomato juice in the sink. As I was walking, I saw a plate of onion rings that still had quite a lot left.
"Mama must have fried it for them." I took one piece and dipped it into a small bowl of tomato sauce. "They even left the house."
"Hi, Amelie, are you finished with your work?"
When I turned towards the source of the sound, I saw mom who had just come from nowhere.
"Not all of it, but some of it is finished. Maybe I'll continue this afternoon." I answered, then took another onion ring and ate it.
Mama continued walking until she reached the front of the sink, she turned on the water faucet but not a drop of water flowed from it.
Her hand turned the faucet repeatedly, but still not a single drop of water flowed from it.
I could hear her breathing heavily, it seemed like she was starting to get annoyed with the water that wasn't flowing.
"It looks like there's no water today." She turned towards me. "I need it to make soup for lunch and wash the furniture. Can you help me, Amelie?"
"Can't you just make another one?"
"Yes." She said, then was silent for a moment. "But you see, the pans and everything else are still dirty. How do I cook? Do you want to eat lunch cooked with dirty utensils?"
Of course I shook my head, it was so disgusting. "What should I do?"
He took two medium sized buckets from the storage cupboard. "Get some water from the river."
My eyes opened wide, did she really mean to order me to do hard work like this?
"Isn't there another way?" I asked.
The sun outside was very hot, fetching water from the river was not an easy thing. I had to walk quite a distance to get to the river and this wasn't enough if I only did it once, not to mention the bucket which would be very heavy if it was completely filled with water.
It's not that I don't want to help her, I really want to help her, but I think this is beyond my capabilities. I will not be a man who is strong and has a lot of energy. It must have only been one time that I was exhausted.
"Nothing, Amelie. There's no water here, the closest thing is the river."
"This is very tiring if I do it alone. Where is Matilda?" I intend to invite her to get water too.
"I heard she went there too earlier." She added a smaller bucket. "Find her and bring water in a bucket each."
I nodded my head, of course I would bring water in the smallest bucket. Let Alpha Rexton and Matilda carry the water with medium sized buckets.
When I walked towards the river, apparently not only me but several neighbors also went with buckets in their hands. This means that not only my house is short of water, their house also definitely has no water.
"Are you alone, Amelie?"
I turned my head. "Hi, Jack. Long time no see." He was one of my friends in elementary school. In the past he was known as a very naughty student. "Matilda has gone to the river first."
"Oh." He noticed the bucket I was carrying. "You brought the bucket for her?"
Having no other choice, I nodded my head.
"Stupid little sister, she just wants to be taken advantage of."
I smiled hearing the words that came out of his rotten mouth. He didn't understand anything, but he said so presumptuously.
Not wanting to appear to be in trouble with anyone, let alone my neighbors, I chose to lock my mouth and not give him an answer.
Not only wolf from our pack, but there were many wolf on the other side of the river who were also fetching water. This river is the barrier between the Yellow Moon Pack and the Full Moon Pack. So far we have lived side by side and there has not been the slightest problem.
"Where is Matilda? I didn't see her."
I shook my head. "I don't know either, she was here first."
"Shall we look for her?"
"What for?"
Jackson sighed. "Are you blind? You're carrying three buckets, are you going to fill them all with water and carry them with your own two hands?"
"Y--you want to help me?" I said doubtfully.
"I wouldn't have looked for Matilda if you weren't willing."
"Y--yes, let's look for her. I'm ready."
He rolled his eyes, then placed the bucket on a large rock on the side of the river. "Put the bucket here first, we'll look for Matilda first."
"A--are you sure? I--is it safe here?" I'm just afraid that my bucket will be stolen.
He exhaled now. "No one will dare touch my bucket, so put your bucket on top of mine so they'll think it's mine."
My eyes looked towards the big bucket on the rock. There was the word "Jackson" written in marker on it. It seemed like he wasn't willing to lose a single bucket of items.
In my heart I smiled, even though wolf said that he was very bastard and I also admitted that, but he also had an angelic side to him.
The three buckets I brought were placed on top of his big bucket. The two of us then looked for Matilda around the river.
"It looks like they're there." I said when I smelled the strong aroma of vanilla and wood.
"We'll go there then." Jackson led the way towards the big tree I was pointing at.
Before I got there, I saw Alpha Rexton coming out from behind the tree. Our eyes met for a few moments and Alpha Rexton also had time to pay attention to the man who was now with me.
As we got closer, Matilda also came out. I saw that her hair and make-up were messy. Could they be doing something in the open like this? They are so crazy!
"Amelie, what are you doing here?" Matilda frowned.
"There is no water at home, mom told us to get water from the river."
"She's carrying three buckets, the other two are for you and your boyfriend. That's why we're looking for you."
Matilda nodded her head. "Where's the bucket?"
"It's over there, follow me." Jackson again led the way.
Instead of me being behind Jackson, Matilda stepped first. I was behind Matilda and behind me was Alpha Rexton. I can still smell the strong aroma of vanilla with wood.
I continued to speed up the pace, I don't want to let Alpha Rexton stop me. Although most likely that won't happen now that Matilda is with us too.
My guess seems wrong. After only taking a few steps I felt my wrist being gra
bbed by someone, who else but Alpha Rexton? Of course he did it because he was the one walking behind me.
"Who is that man, Amelie? Is he your lover?"
Amelie's POV. I tried to ignore Alpha Rexton without answering his question. Besides, he didn't dare to grip my hand tightly because Matilda was not far in front of me. I don't know how many times Alpha Rexton kept asking that question. He seemed so curious. Even so, I still chose to remain silent. What I didn't expect was that Alpha Rexton's grip became stronger, even making my footsteps stop and my body turn towards him. "Aaa ...!" Suddenly I screamed. I fell because I lost my balance, but my body didn't feel the slightest pain. When I opened my eyes, I saw a broad chest with a white t-shirt covering it. My hands were on the surface of those tempting chest. His chest made me remember the events of that crazy night with him. "What are you doing, Babe?!" "She slipped and I helped her. It didn't mean anything else." Realizing that Alpha Rexton would let go of my body in a few moments, I immediately steadied my body. I freed myself from his hands and walked ahead of Matilda an
Amelie's POV. I immediately shook my head when Jackson said that. There's no way he could think like that, it's my fault for telling him my story instead of giving another example. "I've never met my mate," I confirmed. "Why isn't our story like other werewolves, huh?" Jackson's eyes wandered far ahead. "W--what do you mean?" "If I look at films or fiction novels, werewolves will meet their mates easily, but why is it so difficult for us?" "We just need to wait." "But no, Amelie." He doesn't agree with my opinion. "It looks like we also have to find out where our true mate is. If we just wait, maybe we won't meet until we're old." "Maybe you are right as a wolfman, but not me and the wolfwomen. Yes, you have to find your mate, Jack." "It's a shame dad doesn't let me go anywhere." "Why?" I frowned. Jackson looked into my eyes closely. "He's the type of parent who doesn't want to be away from his child." "Then you might be able to take dad with you." "It's not easy, Amelie
Amelie's POV. When she came down from the second floor, apparently it was still seven in the morning. I still have an hour left to get ready before going to work on this boring Monday. I snorted in annoyance at Matilda who was walking down the stairs. My eyes looked at her sharply. I can't accept that she lied to me. "Why?" Matilda, who felt like she was being watched, turned to me. "You lied to me!" "If I didn't say that, maybe you wouldn't wake up." Matilda looked indifferent, she walked towards the dining table which was right in front of the kitchen. "You should thank her, Amelie." Mama shouted from the kitchen. I snorted in annoyance, then went into the room to get ready. Unlike Matilda, the company I work for allows me to wear any clothes as long as they are neat and polite and not too revealing. I chose a sky blue shirt and a knee-length white skirt. After applying make up on my face, I left the room. "Your breakfast and lunch, Amelie." Not a word came out of my mou
Amelie's POV. I didn't say anything for a while, let alone, I didn't want to assume he there was. Even though Alpha Rexton's hand was still covering my eyes, I already knew where my lunch was. I can take it easily and put it in my mouth like before. Even when my lunch box is moved, I can still tell where the lunch box is. I scooped out the contents of the box again and ate it. "Oh, you didn't think I was hhere, Amelie?" The wolfman seemed tired of waiting. I still haven't said anything until my lunch box is now in his hands of both hands. At this point I decided not to continue eating lunch instead of snatching the lunch box from him. The spoon in my hand was just placed on the surface of the table, regardless of whether the table was dirty or not. Besides, I'm not going to eat my lunch anymore. I already feel full. The lunch box in his hand was placed back on the table, I turned to him with eyes full of hatred. "Well, you finally turned to me too." Instead of answering, I j
Amelie's POV. My body froze when I heard Matilda come back out of her room. Even though I wasn't fully conscious and couldn't control myself well, I hurriedly shook my head. I didn't want Matilda to be suspicious of what I had said. Even though I had hurriedly covered my mouth so as not to let it out, the woman could still hear it clearly. "Who--who said that?" I asked, trying to smile even though I knew it would look so stiff. "You ... didn't you just say that your mate is an Alpha?" I shook my head immediately, while in my head I was trying to figure out what was the right reason to respond to Matilda's words. "Amelie, are you home yet?" Matilda and I both turned towards the source of the sound. I saw mom, who was already wearing her nightgown, coming out of the room. She stared at me for a few moments, then turned to Matilda. "Why are you looking like that?" She asked again. "Clean yourself up, Amelie, I'll prepare dinner for you." Mom's arrival was a breath of fresh air
Matilda's POV. "I heard footsteps approaching." Alpha Rexton moved from above my body. Even though he and I were almost climaxing at the same time, it had to stop because he heard someone's presence. I tidied up the clothes that were still attached to my body in a disheveled condition as quickly as possible, as did Alpha Rexton. For a while I also heard the sound of their footsteps. Alpha Rexton, who had already finished tidying up his clothes, then walked out from behind a big tree. After he finished, I also followed his steps. "Amelie, what are you doing here?" I frowned at her presence. "There is no water at home, mom told us to get water from the river." "She's carrying three buckets, the other two are for you and your boyfriend. That's why we're looking for you." The man next to her added. I nodded my head. "Where's the bucket?" "It's over there, follow me." The man I knew named Jackson answered my question again. From the accounts of many werewolves, he is a bad wolfm
Matilda's POV. I shook my head. "Alpha Rexton is still trying to find the right time." "Actually, I really wanted to ask him directly, but I felt this was inappropriate." "It's best not to, Mama." I lowered my gaze. "He's also busy with his duties right now, luckily he still wants to make time to meet me and you." "You're right, let's just wait for his decision." I nodded my head. "Where's Amelie?" "She said she would continue her unfinished work." "I'm going to my room, I feel sleepy." I lied, then left mom and went into the room. Looking at the mirror reflection in front of me, I studied my face for a few moments. Even without using make up I am beautiful enough. Realizing that beauty, I smiled. In my heart I thank you for being given a face this beautiful. Even so, sometimes I can't be grateful for just having a relationship with just one man. I exhaled, then took cotton wool and cleaned my face without makeup. "It's no surprise that Alpha Rexton wants to make me his gi
Rexton's POV. Coming out of Matilda's yard, I glanced slightly towards the balcony and saw my mate up there busy with a laptop in her lap. Just seeing her face from a distance makes me excited, especially if I get closer to her. I know that Matilda and mama are still watching me from the doorway of their house. This made me continue to drive the car until I turned at the intersection. "I'll stop here and wait for a while." The car I was riding in started to pull over and stop. I stopped right next to a big banyan tree which was quiet and dark. I deliberately chose this place so that no one would see my car here, luckily my car was black and might not be visible from a distance. I finished a cigarette while waiting. I took the smartphone that was lying in the car and turned it on. I looked for a contact with the name Matilda and contacted her. "Hello." I heard her voice so soft that it entered my ears. "I'm here, Honey, I just have arrived. What are you doing?" I asked. "I'm
