I was shocked to the marrow; everyone was looking at me. I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me. I could feel Stephan's brother smirking at that asshole.
I imagined that I would be dragged outside and probably shot to death or even killed for throwing up on the almighty Alpha. The whole place was as silent as a graveyard.I wanted to cry out of fear of what would happen to me. I opened my mouth to plead for mercy when a blow landed on my face. I fell as blood oozed from my lips. I looked up at the person who landed the blow on me.It was no other person but my mother; she grabbed my hair and cursed at me. "You insolent, stupid, useless child, when will you ever learn to behave? I should take you out and have your tongue cut out for your insolence."she said as she grabbed my chin and squeezed with force. She kneeled to apologize out of fear, as did everybody, for they did not know what their faith would be with what I did.I heard her say, "I am sorry for the disgrace, Alpha." I forced my lips to move and my throat to bring out sound."I am so sorry, Alpha," I pleaded. Alpha Clay looked at me with disdain and anger. He apologized to him once again: "I am sorry, Stephan; it looks like I will have to teach my daughter some manners."He quickly ordered the maid to bring clean clothes.I looked once again at my father; he contorted his face with anger. The maid rushed in with the clothes. He collected it, changed his shirt, and put on a new jacket, using the clean part to wipe himself properly. Alpha Terror, as I nicknamed him all this while, displayed no emotion on his face; the only thing he did was look at me. Nobody said anything. They trembled in fear, not knowing what he would do next or when he would snap.I figured Father would have warned them to behave since they were acting this way. I wanted him to leave; his presence made me uncomfortable. What happened now added to it. He signaled to my father to come with him to the meeting room while we all waited outside.I can't wait for the meeting to be over so that I will know what my selfish father will give him.I figured he would probably give him gold, his best-trained fighters, or our harvests for the year to pacify him.We all waited to know what the final verdict of their meeting would be. My wolf wanted to be closer to him; she felt at peace in his presence. That's her business; there is no way in hell I am going near alpha terror.Immediately, the discussion ended. Alpha Terror came out first. He signaled to his men,"Bring my gift; let's go," he said as he moved with speed, his brother following in his step.I stood there, waiting for Father to bring out his gift. The next thing I knew, they grabbed me with force, carrying me out of the hall. I looked at my family's faces; they looked confused, but no one said anything. The remaining pack members did not even utter a word, as they looked shocked. I screamed hysterically as I couldn't believe what was happening to me, but no one came to my rescue. I hit the man, dragging me out, but he didn't even show that my jab inflicted pain on him. "Mother, please help me; please don't do this to me" I shouted.she didn't do anything to help.I screamed once again "Clay, you can't do this to me, What is the meaning of this?"He finally came out and asked for permission from the alpha to speak with me before I left.He whispered in my ear, "You are the only thing he requested, and since you don't cost much, I decided I should give in to his request." I felt so bitter, and my heart was boiling in anger.Out of annoyance, I clawed his stupid face, ready to gauge his eyes out. I was struggling to be set free so that I could kill and feast on this stupid bastard but their grip was pretty tight on me.He staggered back, whimpering in pain. He raised his hands to land me a slap, but his hands stopped mid-air. I guess he remembered that I was no longer his property. He finally turned to leave, looking defeated.I swore at him."I will kill you, Clay; I will kill all of you if it is the last thing I do." I struggled to free myself from the bastards that dragged me out. I was fighting and kicking, but they didn't budge.I gave up struggling, as I was emotionally frustrated.I could not believe this was happening to me. We got to the car, and they tried pushing me into it, but I refused. I took out the pin I hid in my hair. I jabbed the first guy in the palm. He screamed, holding his bloody hands together. I stabbed the other guard in his tongue, pushing it inside, fuelled with anger. He went down and was writhing in pain. I wanted to run; it was better than being taken hostage. I turned, ready to disappear. Liam approached me. He looked pissed, but I didn't give a damn."Clarissa Think of what you are doing. You are putting the lives of your pack members, especially innocent children, at risk, I know my brother will burn down the pack if you run from him."Before I could move or even make a decision, I felt something covering my nose. I struggled, but the grip on me was ten times stronger than those two men I took down. I struggled till I passed out.*****I woke up in a strange room; I couldn't recognize anything. I tried remembering where I was.I remembered the event that led to my coming here. I stood up immediately. I looked around for a weapon I could use. I was ready to kill anyone if it meant that I would be free.I found an axe near the wardrobe in the room where I was staying. I grabbed it as I heard someone entering the room.Oh, you are awake. I was beginning to worry that I might have gone overboard with the drugging. How are you feeling?I was mad at him; he acted as if he didn't see my entire family betray me.He tried coming closer. "Don't you dare come near me; I won't be responsible for what will happen next" I warned even though I was afraid. He glared at me, and as he came closer to me, he ripped the axe from my grip and broke it, throwing it away."I will not tolerate your insolence; you will treat me with respect; you will submit to me" He growled, his eyes flashing gold. I bundled myself in the corner, afraid to come closer to him.You can come down for dinner if you want, or I could send a maid to bring something for you" he muttered."While you are here, I expect you to be on your best behavior, or else there will be consequences.""As my mate, you will submit to me as your alpha and your mate; I expect nothing less from you as my mate, he said as he walked off."Sitting on the floor, the thought of what I had been through flashed through my mind. I have been fighting to survive, despite everything. "This is one of those times Clarissa." I consoled myself."You can do this, even if he is hot as hell.""You just have to be strong."I stood up from where I lay, determined to give him hell if he tried me; I wouldn't go down without a fight.Stephan's POV Continuation I watched baffled and frightened by what happened. The explosion pushed them back; they disappeared. I looked around, and ten thousand men were standing; some were on the left-hand side, while others were on the right-hand side. The alpha, who stood at the front from the left-hand side, spoke first."Hi Stephan, it is good to see that you are still in one piece."I was so happy to see him.I could use all the help I can get."Crescent pack warriors at your service, Alpha Stephan.""You are welcome, too, alpha of the Crescent Pack.""What is happening, Stephan? What are these?" he asked me."I don't know how to explain, but they are half beast, half werewolf; all I know is that they are indestructible.""There must be something that can destroy them," he said to me."Yes, I have a plan.""What is the plan, Stephan? He persisted with his questions."I can only kill them if I cut their heads off of their bodies; the only way I can do that is if I can g
Stephan's POV I woke up because I heard someone scream. I did not know how long I had slept. I was disoriented for a while. I looked up at the sky; it was dark as if smoke had covered it. My body was wet and cold. I moved my hands to touch the floor, and I noticed that the leaves there were wet too. It must be because of the dew. I pulled myself up to a sitting position and looked around. I was inside the forest; the whole place was covered with grass and tall trees. It must be the reason why sunlight cannot penetrate it. I used my wolf vision to look around. I noticed a little ray of sunshine shining somewhere within the forest. I followed the light till I got to where it was shining. My hands got to work, and I used them to push the grass blocking my way out of it. I walked out, looked around, and could not recognize where I was. I was sure that when I came to this place, I was unconscious. I wonder who brought me to this place. "Stephan, where are you? We a
Stephan's POV "No, Stephan, don't do it; don't give in to him; he lied, my love; he lied to you, she continued screaming. I heard scuffles and the breaking of things. "Don't you dare hurt her," I threatened. My eyes blazed. "You need to find Carli Stephan; he can find me." "They had him brainwashed into thinking that we killed his parents; if you can find him and convince him, he will help you," she screamed. I heard gunshots, and the line went flat. I screamed out of pain as I tried to mind-link her. I was scared to death hearing that shot. I was restless that I was not there. "Little one, are you okay?" I screamed in my head. "Please say something so that I will know that you are okay," I pleaded. "I am in pain, my love, but I will be fine," she said to me. "You have five minutes to tell me the truth William, or else I will start dropping dead bodies here," I threatened him. "Do you worse, Stephan? You are going to regret not taking my offer," he boasted.
Clayton's POV The moment I saw Clarissa on the floor and the look she had on her face, I knew instantly that she had heard everything. It is funny that she is trying to play it off. I needed to play along to make her relaxed, and I could watch her. I noticed that she was shaking out of shock. Since she wants to play, let's play. When she mentioned her mother's death, I knew that she was trying to divert my attention. I decided to fake it; she was so convinced by my acting. I pretended that I had gone into my room while I stood at the door and watched her. I heard Carli questioning her. Even though Carli kept interrogating her, she still hesitated to answer him. I saw her leave, and I knew instantly where she was going. I went inside for a few minutes so that I could get ready. I sent my men out immediately to follow her. When I came outside, I saw that Carli had a troubled look on his face. "Where is Clarissa?" I asked him. He frowned at me and answered
Stephan's POVI had to go see my friend Alpha Tyler; he had promised me earlier that if I needed his help, all I had to do was tell him when I needed it.I know that if we were to attack Alpha William's secret hideout, we would need all the help we could get.He told me that he was able to get me a few men, but I wasn't bothered because I knew that the few men he gave me would be enough to defeat our enemies.I was busy with him; that was why Clarissa was not able to pass through at first. She pushed through our bond; I felt her, and when I opened the bond, she was already out.I could sense her distress, and that scared me.I quickly concluded my meeting with Alpha Tyler and rushed out. Then I heard her distress call."Stephan, help me."I wish I knew where my gamma is, I would have sent him.I knew that I might not get to her on time that was why I pleaded with her to stay back till I got to that place.I felt that it would be safer and easier to pick her up from there since it w
Clarissa's POV "Clarissa, What are you doing here?" Alpha William asked."Why did you come in here?" he continued."Why are you on the floor? he questioned me.I tried to speak, but my mouth refused to bring out a sound.Fear crept into my mind.I already know how this is going to play out if I am not able to come up with a tangible story to cover up why I was in there.I grabbed his hand. I wanted to steady myself. I stood up, calculating in my mind what to say to him so that he wouldn't be suspicious of me."What are you doing here, child?""You have not answered my question yet.""I am sorry, grandfather; I came in here looking for you.""Why are you on the floor? Did you just call me grandfather?" He asked, looking surprised.I pretended like I did not hear the second question; I did not want to repeat what I said earlier so that I wouldn't gag."I thought I saw something; I am sorry, alpha." "I felt a chill on my body; I froze, and from there I fell." "What did you s
