로그인Aria's POV
After I was pulled inside the van, I ended up in a awkward position. I was seated but lying on my side and with my hands tied behind me. It was harder to move. I struggled to break free for a while, but it was useless, so I slowed my breathing and did my best to calm down. I didn't want to freak out. I didn't want to give them any reason to reason to hit me and make me unconscious. And I guess it worked. The man beside me pulled me up and helped me sit straight before tugging away the cloth around my neck. “Sign this,” he said. My eyes roamed around. There were only three males with me, and they didn't even hide their faces. But it was so dark I couldn't see them fully, and I doubted I had met them before. They looked and felt unfamiliar to me. “ What's that?” I asked. “ Don't ask. Just do it.” The man seated in the passenger seat turned around and pointed a gun at me. I swallowed and kept my on his fingers. I had no idea if I could dodge once I saw him press it, but then what choice do I have? I have to at least try. I felt my hands being untied, and the moment they were free, I clasped them together and rubbed them over each other so they could stop shaking. “ Sign this.” He shoved a paper and a pen in my hand. “ Here.” He pointed at the exact location where I needed to sign. I didn't even think I twice and just did it. Again, what choice do I have? I gave the paper to the man beside me, and at the same time the lamppost illuminated inside the car. I saw that it was a letter addressed to Aiden. It didn't matter. I shouldn't worry. Whatever was in the letter it won't change anything. I closed my eyes as my hands were tied again, but I was glad they kept my mouth free. And then I felt something being pushed inside the pocket of my jeans. My eyes snapped open and I tilted my head, but I didn't see anything except for the man's hand as he removed it from my pocket. “ What was that?” “ Don't ask questions.” “ Are you going to kill me?” “ We might if you keep talking.” Did that mean they would not if I remained quiet? I hope so. I watched as the car drove around the area. In just one year, I had already familiarised myself with this territory, as Aiden would take me anywhere he went except for last few weeks before his accident. He began to leave me often at home while he did his business or duties. So, if these men decided to hold me captive, it would be easy to find my way out if I could get away. My eyes narrowed when the car stopped outside Ivy's home. The lights were on, which was unusual as it was only four in the morning. The gate of her house opened, and she came out wearing regular clothes, not evening or bedwear. She was clearly expecting us. I thought I would be taken to her, but only the man in the passenger seat stepped out, taking the letter I signed with him. As soon as he closed the door, the car immediately drove away. I didn't need to ask. I already got my confirmation. Whatever happened to me today, it was Ivy's doing. And whatever I signed in the paper would surely make me evil in Aiden's eyes. Of course, she was the evil stepmother you will never want in your story. I chuckled at my own thoughts. I should stop watching soap operas because this was where I got all this evil plots and thoughts. But then, my thoughts could he right. “ Where are you taking me to?” I finally asked after a long silence. I asked in a calm tone. “ Why do you want to know?” The man beside me asked. “ You're both not from this pack, right?” “ How did you know?” “ I'm the Luna of this pack. You would never do this to me if you were my people.” That was a lie. I doubted anyone would say no to Ivy if she ordered something like this against me. “ Are you trying to play us? We were asked to pick up a new slave, not a Luna.” The drive answered. “ Slave? For who?” I swallowed. Before becoming Aiden's Luna, I have heard of omegas being traded for favours or money. I asked Aiden about it, and he assured me had never joined these underground deals. “ Alpha Kane,” The driver answered. My eyes widened as my stomach churned. Oh, Goddess, not him. I knew him. He has been Aiden's enemy since childhood. I met him at one of the banquets for Alphas, and he didn't hide his interest in me once he found out that I was Aiden's Luna. Either he was smitten by me or only because he wanted to irritate Aiden. Ivy was there at night. She witnessed how Aiden almost fought with Alpha Kane because the latter couldn't keep his mouth shut about me. Did she sell him to me? “ Are you from this pack?” I asked. “ Yes.” The man beside me answered, and it was only then I was able to look at him closely. He was looking at me with lust in his eyes, and he couldn't keep his lips from licking his lips from time to time. When he saw me looking at him, his fingers began trailing down my arm. “ Don't touch me . Alpha Kane will not like that.” I said, trying my best for my voice not to break. “ Markus, enough. You know that instructions. Take her there without any scratch. “ I'm sure that Alpha won't know…” “ Shut up! I would rather take the woman Alpha Kane will give us than risk having my head cut off if you touch that girl.” “ But what's the difference? He will just share her with his friends and with some of us one of these days. A little test won't make a difference.” I wanted to vomit at the way they were talking until I caught sight of the border. I hoped I could scream once they opened the window, as the guards usually check the car coming out. I prepared myself to scream, but my heart dropped when the car just drove by, and the man guarding just gave them a salute without even checking us inside. Ivy surely had planned this. They were still talking. Not about me anymore but about the woman they would get as a reward and the vile things that they would do to them. I needed to get away before I reach their pack. Or I would be as good as dead, either in Alpha Kane's hands or theirs. “ I need to pee….” I finally spoke after more than an hour of silence. “ Hold it.” “ I can't anymore. Please…. I don't want to make a mess here. It would get a day to get to your pack and more hours to reach the city.” “ Definitely not in the city.” The driver said. “ We can stop somewhere, but don't you dare run.” “ I just need to pee,” I repeated. I kept fidgeting, and soon the car stopped. “ Take her out.” The driver told Markus. This page/ Chapter is free, you should not be paying any coins to read this author’s note Thank you for staying with me until the very last page. Aria's POV The sun was fully over the horizon when we finally walked out from behind the waterfall. Aiden carried our son tucked against his bare chest, wrapped in his leather cloak. I leaned heavily on my father, the King, and my mother, Kira. My legs felt like jelly, and every step was a struggle, but the heavy, pulling pain in my gut was gone. Aiden stopped by the edge of the river. He looked down at the baby, and then at me. His gray eyes were clear now, the fog from the spell completely washed away. "He looks like you when he frowns," Aiden said. A small, tired smile pulled at his lips. "He has your nose," I replied, reaching out to touch the baby’s tiny, sleeping face. "And your stubbornness. He didn't want to wait for a bed." My father cleared his throat. He looked at the three of us, his hand still resting on his sword hilt. The gold on his armor was dented and scratched. He looked less like a king and more like a man who had just realized he had almost lost
Aria's POVThe ride to the Hidden Temple was a blur of pain and the smell of wet fur.Aiden had shifted into his large wolf form so I could ride on his back, my arms wrapped tight around his thick neck.Every time his paws hit the uneven ground, a new bolt of agony shot through my hips. My dress was ruined, dark with the blood that wouldn't stop leaking out of me. Behind us, I could hear the clatter of the King’s horses and the occasional sizzle of Kira’s magic as she threw sparks at the shadows following us.The sky above the valley was no longer just black. It was thick with swirling purple clouds, and lightning the color of a bruised plum cracked across the horizon. The air tasted like copper and ozone."We’re here, Aria!" Kira shouted over the wind.Aiden slowed down as we reached a tall stone archway hidden behind a waterfall. He moved through the curtain of water, his fur getting soaked, and stepped into a massive cavern lit by glowing blue crystals. In the center of the cave sa
Aria's POV"Damien?" Kira whispered. She was standing right next to me, her hand gripping my arm so hard her nails were digging into my skin. "Ivy’s son? I thought he was just a story."The wolf didn't answer with words. It let out a sound that was half-growl and half-laugh. It was Damien, alright. Ivy had kept him hidden for years, and now he was here to finish what the Shadow Council started. He lunged forward, his paws cracking the stone tiles like they were made of thin glass.Aiden didn't even hesitate. He stepped in front of me, his chest bare and his muscles bulging. He still looked confused, and I knew his memories were a mess, but his instinct to protect me was stronger than the spell in his brain."Get back, Aria!" Aiden shouted. He didn't have a weapon, but he lowered his shoulder and ran straight at the giant wolf."Aiden, no!" I screamed. They collided with a thud that I felt in the soles of my feet. Aiden was strong, but Damien was powered by something evil. The dark wol
Aria's POV"Aiden! No, please stay with me!" I sobbed.I felt the silver heat in my chest move down my arms. It was hot, like I was holding a bowl of boiling water. My palms started to glow, and the light wasn't soft this time. It was sharp and bright.I pressed my hands against his chest, and the silver light poured out of me. It covered Aiden like a blanket, soaking into his skin and chasing the purple smoke away. I kept pushing until my head felt light and my vision went fuzzy at the edges.Aiden gasped and his eyes snapped open. He sat up fast, nearly knocking me over. He looked around the garden with a confused look on his face. He looked at Kira, then at the burning palace, and finally at me."Aria?" he whispered. He reached out and touched my cheek, but his hand was shaking. "I know you. You're my wife. But... why are we in the dirt? Where is the pack?""He's confused," Kira said, stepping closer. She looked at the sky, which was still a sickly black color. "The spell ate part
Alpha Aiden's POVI ran up the back stairs, my claws clicking against the floor.I reached the library just as the bookshelf moved. Two men in black cloaks were trying to hack through the small door behind it. I didn't waste time talking.I lunged, my weight slamming into the first man and sending him flying into a pile of heavy history books. The second one tried to turn, but I caught his throat and tossed him aside like a piece of trash.I kicked the remaining wood of the door inward."Aiden!" Aria’s voice was a ragged sob.I shifted back to my human form, though I didn't have any clothes left on my upper body. I didn't care. I scrambled into the small, dusty room. Aria was on the cot, her face covered in sweat and her hair sticking to her forehead. Kira was standing over her, holding a small silver dagger.I pulled Aria into my arms, being careful of her large stomach. She felt hot, and her heart was beating as fast as a drum against my chest. I kissed her forehead, tasting the sal
Aria's POV“ I think we can stop here, but we need to make it fast,” Aiden spoke, and I nodded in agreement. After two hours of driving from the Bellouf Theme Park, we finally stop so he could tank up, and o could go to the toilet.I was about to unbuckle my seatbelt when he stopped me. I turned my
Aria's POV“ Anyway would you like to grab a coffee?” The woman asked him.My eyes rolled, and I was about to head to the counter to pay for my chips when I remembered Aiden had the credit card we could use. So I put everything in my arms and walked out of the shop without looking back at them.“So
Alpha Aiden's POV“ You need to leave. Now!” Rasmus said, and I could hear the urgency in his voice.“Shit!” It's fucking midnight!” I brushed my hand over by hair while the other was on my hips.I turned around to look at Aria. She was sitting, the blanket covering up to her waist. The colour had
Alpha Aiden's POVWe'd be driving for almost two hours, and Aria had fallen asleep. She was tired from all the running and hiding she'd been doing these past few weeks, so I let her sleep while I did my best to keep myself awake.I could take my sleep once we were on our way to the North. For now,
