LOGINAria's POV
After I was pulled inside the van, I ended up in a awkward position. I was seated but lying on my side and with my hands tied behind me. It was harder to move. I struggled to break free for a while, but it was useless, so I slowed my breathing and did my best to calm down. I didn't want to freak out. I didn't want to give them any reason to reason to hit me and make me unconscious. And I guess it worked. The man beside me pulled me up and helped me sit straight before tugging away the cloth around my neck. “Sign this,” he said. My eyes roamed around. There were only three males with me, and they didn't even hide their faces. But it was so dark I couldn't see them fully, and I doubted I had met them before. They looked and felt unfamiliar to me. “ What's that?” I asked. “ Don't ask. Just do it.” The man seated in the passenger seat turned around and pointed a gun at me. I swallowed and kept my on his fingers. I had no idea if I could dodge once I saw him press it, but then what choice do I have? I have to at least try. I felt my hands being untied, and the moment they were free, I clasped them together and rubbed them over each other so they could stop shaking. “ Sign this.” He shoved a paper and a pen in my hand. “ Here.” He pointed at the exact location where I needed to sign. I didn't even think I twice and just did it. Again, what choice do I have? I gave the paper to the man beside me, and at the same time the lamppost illuminated inside the car. I saw that it was a letter addressed to Aiden. It didn't matter. I shouldn't worry. Whatever was in the letter it won't change anything. I closed my eyes as my hands were tied again, but I was glad they kept my mouth free. And then I felt something being pushed inside the pocket of my jeans. My eyes snapped open and I tilted my head, but I didn't see anything except for the man's hand as he removed it from my pocket. “ What was that?” “ Don't ask questions.” “ Are you going to kill me?” “ We might if you keep talking.” Did that mean they would not if I remained quiet? I hope so. I watched as the car drove around the area. In just one year, I had already familiarised myself with this territory, as Aiden would take me anywhere he went except for last few weeks before his accident. He began to leave me often at home while he did his business or duties. So, if these men decided to hold me captive, it would be easy to find my way out if I could get away. My eyes narrowed when the car stopped outside Ivy's home. The lights were on, which was unusual as it was only four in the morning. The gate of her house opened, and she came out wearing regular clothes, not evening or bedwear. She was clearly expecting us. I thought I would be taken to her, but only the man in the passenger seat stepped out, taking the letter I signed with him. As soon as he closed the door, the car immediately drove away. I didn't need to ask. I already got my confirmation. Whatever happened to me today, it was Ivy's doing. And whatever I signed in the paper would surely make me evil in Aiden's eyes. Of course, she was the evil stepmother you will never want in your story. I chuckled at my own thoughts. I should stop watching soap operas because this was where I got all this evil plots and thoughts. But then, my thoughts could he right. “ Where are you taking me to?” I finally asked after a long silence. I asked in a calm tone. “ Why do you want to know?” The man beside me asked. “ You're both not from this pack, right?” “ How did you know?” “ I'm the Luna of this pack. You would never do this to me if you were my people.” That was a lie. I doubted anyone would say no to Ivy if she ordered something like this against me. “ Are you trying to play us? We were asked to pick up a new slave, not a Luna.” The drive answered. “ Slave? For who?” I swallowed. Before becoming Aiden's Luna, I have heard of omegas being traded for favours or money. I asked Aiden about it, and he assured me had never joined these underground deals. “ Alpha Kane,” The driver answered. My eyes widened as my stomach churned. Oh, Goddess, not him. I knew him. He has been Aiden's enemy since childhood. I met him at one of the banquets for Alphas, and he didn't hide his interest in me once he found out that I was Aiden's Luna. Either he was smitten by me or only because he wanted to irritate Aiden. Ivy was there at night. She witnessed how Aiden almost fought with Alpha Kane because the latter couldn't keep his mouth shut about me. Did she sell him to me? “ Are you from this pack?” I asked. “ Yes.” The man beside me answered, and it was only then I was able to look at him closely. He was looking at me with lust in his eyes, and he couldn't keep his lips from licking his lips from time to time. When he saw me looking at him, his fingers began trailing down my arm. “ Don't touch me . Alpha Kane will not like that.” I said, trying my best for my voice not to break. “ Markus, enough. You know that instructions. Take her there without any scratch. “ I'm sure that Alpha won't know…” “ Shut up! I would rather take the woman Alpha Kane will give us than risk having my head cut off if you touch that girl.” “ But what's the difference? He will just share her with his friends and with some of us one of these days. A little test won't make a difference.” I wanted to vomit at the way they were talking until I caught sight of the border. I hoped I could scream once they opened the window, as the guards usually check the car coming out. I prepared myself to scream, but my heart dropped when the car just drove by, and the man guarding just gave them a salute without even checking us inside. Ivy surely had planned this. They were still talking. Not about me anymore but about the woman they would get as a reward and the vile things that they would do to them. I needed to get away before I reach their pack. Or I would be as good as dead, either in Alpha Kane's hands or theirs. “ I need to pee….” I finally spoke after more than an hour of silence. “ Hold it.” “ I can't anymore. Please…. I don't want to make a mess here. It would get a day to get to your pack and more hours to reach the city.” “ Definitely not in the city.” The driver said. “ We can stop somewhere, but don't you dare run.” “ I just need to pee,” I repeated. I kept fidgeting, and soon the car stopped. “ Take her out.” The driver told Markus.Alpha Rasmus’ POV“ You lied to me! Emmaline shrieked.I didn't stop myself from laughing loudly. The audacity of her to scream that to my face when she did the same thing, and she did way worse than I did.I immediately cut my laughter short, and a scowl formed on myself. “ I lied about being an Alpha to avoid women clinging to me as if I were a jackpot prize, while you lied because you wanted to cheat on Aiden!”In seconds she was already standing in front of my desk. Her hands slammed on the oak table as her eyes dilated. “ Do not judge me when you've never been in my shoes!”My nose flared. I abruptly pushed the chair back and stood up, resting my hands on the desk before leaning my face closer to her. “ Trust me. I never want to be in a whore’s shoes.”Everything happened so fast after that, and before I could react or do something, her small hand had already landed on my jaw and made my head swing to the right.I wasn't expecting that. And it stung.“ I'm not a whore! Take back
Alpha Rasmus’ POVAlpha of the Silvercrest ParkThe drive to the SilverMist pack territory went smoothly but was boring as fuck.I drove my own car, and another car followed me, with two of my men for security purposes.I didn't have enemies like Aiden, but Kane knew I was helping him, so I also had to watch my back. I honestly didn't know if I should thank Aiden or not because my boring life was suddenly flipped over.I felt I was also running against time, making sure Aiden and Aria got safely to the North. In the past few weeks, I had made more phone calls and bribed more people than I had in all my years as an Alpha, all to ensure they had what they needed. But I had no regrets. Why the fuck do I helped them or Aiden in particular? No, not because of Vanessa or Emmaline, whoever the fuck she is, especially since I could tell Aiden was smitten by his own wife or ex-wife.The desire to help him was primarily motivated my guilt because he saved my stupid ass, and it cost his mother's
Aria's POVAfter I told Aiden that might be pregnant, I stared to relax. In fact, I began to feel excited.I didn't expect his reaction, which made everything perfect. Earlier, he told me he loved me, and his reaction to the pregnancy news supported that calm.Despite the fact that he couldn't remember me, it was enough that he wanted me in his life, and he wanted to have a baby with me.We bought the pregnancy test kit and stopped by a fast-food restaurant.Aiden ordered our food while I went to the restroom. He wanted to see the results with me, but he was taking too long to get here, and the results were ready. The line at the counter might be long, so I had to check this on my own.My hand trembled as I raised the test stick in my hand. One line.I was wrong. I wasn't pregnant.I took a deep breath just in time for a knock to come. I lowered my hand and opened the door. Our gazes met, and I could still see the excitement in his eyes. I didn't want to prolong the suspense for him.
Aria's POVWe finally reached the regular road, and in no time, we were driving into the city. I kept looking back, checking if anyone was following us, but everything seemed normal so far.“ You can sleep,” Aiden told me.“ I'm not feeling that sleepy anymore. I will rest once we transfer to another car. I'm not comfortable here.”He simply nodded his head and continued driving. Aiden called someone after his call with Rasmus, and we got confirmation for a new car we could use once we reached that place. And from there, it would just be a couple of hours before we reached the North. It was noon, and my stomach was churning from hunger, but I didn't say anything. I wanted a new car first. So when we finally reached the car dealer building, Aiden wasted no time and grabbed the key, and we were already on our way out.He was holding my hand, and we were walking to the big parking lot where they pointed when my head suddenly felt light, and I almost stumbled if Aiden was not able to hold
Alpha Aiden's POV.“ I love you, Aiden.” Aria's voice came out soft, but I was sure I heard it.My foot stepped on the brakes and the car came to a sudden halt, making our bodies jolt forward.“ I'm sorry,” she gasped as her hands held onto the dashboard before her as if it could stop her from slamming there, but she had a seatbelt on, so I knew she was safely tucked in her seat.“ Did you just say what I heard you say?” I asked, ignoring the apology that came out of her lips because I had no idea what she was apologizing for.“ We'll….” She stammered, then she flashed me an embarrassed smile. “ You said it first.”“ I said. So you think…” A smile tugged at my mouth, but my eyes were watering. “..... It was appropriate and polite to say it back?”I couldn't contain the happiness in my chest.I had always been a storm, and Aria was definitely sunshine. It was easy to love her, but I felt good and exhilarated knowing this little ball of sunshine and butterflies had fallen in love with m
Aria's POV.“ If you think I'd stop just because you told me to, you're delusional. I will make sure your perfect little wife will bow down to me and eat whatever fucking thing I will serve her! And I'll make you watch it….” Alpha Kane's words echoed in my head.Goosebumps rose from my skin as cold chills ran down my spine. I tried not to be frightened, but hearing him talk like that was like hearing a devil come to life.I coiled my hands Into tight fists to stop my body from trembling. And Aiden saw that.He kept looking at me as he spoke back to him. “ Over my dead body, fucker. Stay in your line, or hide. Because this time, I'll be the one hunting you!”He didn't allow him to respond. After he was done talking, he dropped the call and threw the phone into the dashboard before stepping on the brakes, halting the car.He turned to look at me and reached for my hand. “ Aria, look at me!”My eyes were watering, and I knew my eyes would fall if I turned to him, I didn't want to cry any
Aria’s POV“ Take her,” the driver told Markus, the man beside me.The both came out of the car, and I was pulled out. The driver lit a cigarette and rested his back against the car, which I was grateful for. I need him outside.Markus held my arm and led me behind the bushes. I kept brushing my ar
I went to the shower, and when I came out, my clothes were already in bed, but Emmaline was nowhere in sight. So I put my clothes on and went down to the main floor of the house. It was already nine in the morning, so everyone was already up and running except me .My stomach was already complainin
Alpha Aiden's POVRyker volunteered to pick up the documents from Aria's office. As soon as he left and it was just the two of us, Magnus looked at me with raised eyebrows. “ Are you okay?”“ No. Aria left.” I grunted in a low voice.“ I heard.”“ She took the wedding ring with her.”He shrugged hi
Alpha Aiden's POV After the rejection, I didn't see Aria the whole day. I heard she was in her office. I didn't even bother to check what she was doing there. I had no idea what to do with her. I knew she couldn't stay here, especially since Emmaline was planning to move in, but I was also conce
