After breakfast, we spent time laughing and talking. He was a normal dude, nothing like I imagined. We talked about light stuff, but I was still too afraid to ask the big question. I didn’t want to know but then again, I did. What if he said no, and thought I was crazy? Or what if he said yes, then we both would be crazy...right? I didn’t know what to do, so I did nothing! I tossed and turned all night. It was the worse sleep I have ever had in my life. I saw her when I shut my eyes and when I opened them. I talked to my mom and God when I got home last night. But it still didn’t stop her from flooding my mind. I was still laying there, looking at the ceiling and thinking of her. Enough, get up man and get yourself together. I rolled out of bed and hit the shower. After getting cleaned up, I was ready for a run. Running always made me feel better. The cool air would do me some good. I jogged my way right to the job. I had some lose ends to tie up, but I didn’t feel much like working. Although maybe some work would refocus me, because I was all over the place. She needed to understand exactly what this was and who’s she was. I wanted no doubt about how I felt. I felt refreshed after the shower. Water always replenished me which is why I loved the rain. I could be in my favorite tailored suit and stand in the rain. God washed away a lot in the rain, especially for me. I looked at my phone, still nothing. I had made up my mind that I wasn’t going to bother her anymore today. I put on my deodorant and lotion, threw on a tee shirt and some sweats, and prepared for my cooking class. I peaked at my phone again, nothing. Damn it is cold out here! I thought it was supposed to be like 50 degrees today. Lord, I hate the cold. I said, bundling myself up tighter around my neck, which had apparently disappeared in between my shoulders and head. The wind was blowing havoc in my face as I made my way to work in busy downtown New York.I was fresh, well not exactly fresh…maybe 2 years or so, out of college and going to my job.
