Rebecca’s Pov

My heart stops pounding for a second when I hear those heavy, familiar footsteps echoing behind me in the empty hallway.

I am aware of those footsteps. I would be able to know them anywhere. They belong to Davis Draven.

Panic crawls up my throat, icy and stinging, making it hard to breathe. I spent hours this morning gazing at calendars and newspapers to convince myself that I had indeed gone back in time.

To make sure I wasn't simply going insane after passing away on that chilly floor, I looked at the dates, the family schedules, and everything else.

It is real. I am nineteen again, and Davis hasn't even noticed me yet. But hearing him walk right behind me makes my chest tighten like someone is squeezing it with a metal fist.

"Rebecca," a deep, smooth voice calls out from the shadows of the hallway. "Are you running away from me?"

I freeze. Every muscle in my body locks up. Deep inside my chest, my wolf gives a wild, desperate howl, clawing at my ribs because she can smell him—pine needles, winter frost, and pure power. She wants to turn around, run into his arms, and soak up his attention like she used to do for all those miserable years.

Shut up, I tell my wolf fiercely, pushing the feeling down into the dark. We are not doing this again.

I slowly turn around, keeping my face as blank and cold as stone. Davis steps out from under the dim wall lights, and my breath catches anyway. He is wearing a sharp, dark suit that fits his broad shoulders perfectly. His sharp jawline, messy dark hair, and piercing grey eyes make him look like a prince from a dark fairy tale. He is everything people talk about—the young Alpha everyone expects to rule pack society. But to me, he is just the beginning of every nightmare I ever had.

"I am not running away, Davis," I say, my voice sounding much steadier than my shaking hands feel. "I was just heading out. The room was getting too loud."

Davis stops a few feet away from me. He tilts his head, narrowing his eyes as he looks at me. Those grey eyes are way too smart, picking up on every little thing. In my first life, I would have melted under that look, blushing and praying he liked me. But now? Now I just want to walk right past him and never look back.

"Is that so?" Davis asks, a tiny, amused smile touching the corner of his mouth. "Because it looked a lot like you saw a ghost when I walked into the ballroom, and then you bolted out the door like your dress was on fire."

"You flatter yourself," I snap back, crossing my arms over my chest to hide how much I am trembling. "Not everyone spends their night thinking about you."

That wipes the smile right off his face. Davis blinks, looking genuinely surprised. I can't blame him. Just yesterday—or well, three years from now, in the life I used to have—I would have never spoken to him with such sharp edges. Back then, I hung onto his every word like a puppy begging for scraps.

"You've changed, Rebecca," Davis says quietly, taking a slow step closer to me. The heavy scent of him washes over me, making my head spin. "A week ago, you would have smiled and tried to start a conversation with me at these stupid pack parties. Now you look at me like I owe you money."

"People change, Davis," I say, taking a step backward to keep my distance. "Some people grow up faster than others."

"And what is that supposed to mean?" he asks, his voice dropping lower, turning into a low, dangerous rumble that vibrates right through the floorboards. He doesn't like being talked to like this. People always bow to him. People always agree with him. He is the future Alpha of the Draven Pack, and nobody ever tells him no.

Before I can think of a sharp reply, my brother Aevrion’s voice echoes down the hall.

"Rivi? Are you out here? Mom and Dad are asking for you!"

I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding. "I have to go," I tell Davis, not waiting for his permission. I turn on my heel and practically run down the hallway toward my brother.

When I finally reach Aevrion, he gives me a weird look, scratching the back of his head. "Whoa, why do you look like you just ran away from a monster?"

"I practically did," I mutter, grabbing my brother's arm and dragging him back toward the warmth and noise of the party.

I thought seeing him tonight was going to be the hardest part. I thought if I just kept my distance at home, I would be safe. But later that night, sitting on my bed in the quiet dark, my phone lights up with a message from my father. He invites me into his study to talk about family business.

When I push the heavy wooden door open, my parents are sitting by the fireplace, and my stomach drops straight to the floor when I see the folder sitting open on my father's desk. It has the Draven Pack seal stamped right on the front in shiny gold foil.

"Rebecca, come in, sit down," my father says warmly, smiling up at me. "We were just talking about your future. The university's elite Alpha leadership program starts next month, and your mother and I think it is time to start building stronger ties with our neighbors."

My hands turn ice cold. The leadership program. The exact place where Davis and I are supposed to spend months together, locked away in the same academic bubble. I opened my mouth to tell them no, to scream that I would rather drop out of university entirely than go near that program, but my mother speaks first.

"It's a wonderful opportunity, darling," my mother says, her eyes shining with pride. "And we already know who will be leading the student council representation for the Draven side. Davis Draven has requested to work closely with our family's business heirs."

My chest burns. No. No, this cannot be happening. I tried to run away. I tried to change my path, to stay away from him, to build a wall of ice between us. But the universe—or fate, or whatever sick joke is running my life—is pulling us together anyway.

"I won't go," I whisper, my voice shaking so hard the words barely come out.

My parents stare at me like I have lost my mind. "Rebecca, what are you talking about?" my father asks, his smile fading into a frown. "This is huge for our pack's future."

"I don't care," I say, tears of pure frustration spilling over my lashes. I grip the edge of the desk just like I did when I woke up from my nightmare. "Send Aevrion. Send anyone else. But I am not going to that program. I will not have anything to do with Davis Draven!"

  • Again His Luna   The Records He Was Told to Hide.

Rebecca’s POVAevrion’s warning followed me all the way to the Browns estate. He had refused to explain everything over the phone, insisting that we needed to speak face-to-face. But the fear in his voice had already told me this was serious.Someone had approached my brother about the old records. And whoever it was knew I might start asking questions.Davis sat beside me in the car, quiet for most of the journey. He hadn’t tried to take control of the situation or tell me what I should do. He had simply offered to come with me while Harper stayed behind to search for the original sender of the message.I appreciated that, even if I wasn’t ready to trust him completely.“You’ve been quiet,” Davis said.“I’m thinking.”“About what your brother found?”“About how many people have been keeping secrets from me.”He turned toward me. “I’m sorry.”I looked at him. “For what?”“For being part of a family that seems to have made decisions about your life without telling you the truth.”His a

  • Again His Luna   THE MESSAGE FROM HER PACK.

Rebecca’s POVI stared at the message on Harper’s phone, reading it twice before I could accept what it said.Do not let Rebecca return to the Browns estate alone. Someone has started moving against her.My fingers tightened around the phone.“When did you receive this?” I asked.“Shortly before you died.”I looked up at Harper. “And you never told me?”“I tried to reach you, Rebecca.”“That isn’t what I asked.”Harper lowered her eyes.I looked at the message again. There was no name attached to it, no number I could trace, and no explanation of who was supposedly moving against me.“Who sent this?”“I don’t know. The original account was deleted, and I couldn’t recover the information attached to it.”“But you kept the message?”“Yes. I saved a copy before the account disappeared.”I handed the phone back to her.“Did you try to find the sender?”“After you died. I followed every lead I could find, but the trail ended before I could identify the person.”My stomach twisted. In my fi

  • Again His Luna   The Death He Remembers.

Rebecca’s POVI went completely still.Davis had not said he dreamed of me dying. He had not said he imagined losing me.He had said he remembered it.I stared into his eyes, and the fear I saw there made my chest tighten. For weeks, I had convinced myself that my memories belonged to a future I could change. But Davis was describing something he had never experienced in this life. Was my second chance no longer mine alone?“Davis,” Harper said, stepping closer to him. “What did you see?”He barely seemed to hear her. His eyes remained on me, as if he was waiting for me to tell him something I couldn’t say.“Tell me exactly what you remember,” I said.Davis swallowed. “Fragments. A wedding. You and me arguing. You were crying, and I knew I had done something wrong.”My fingers curled against my palms. He continued, his voice growing quieter. “I couldn’t understand what was happening. I kept trying to reach you, but you looked at me as if you hated me.”I looked away before he could re

  • Again His Luna   HIS FATHER’S SECRET.

Davis’s POV For several seconds, I stared at my phone. My father hadn’t asked what the report contained or whether the claims were true. He had gone straight to warning me against taking it to the council. That alone told me he knew more than he was willing to admit. Rebecca stood across the table, clutching the report against her chest. Her eyes moved from my phone to my face as I ended the call. “Davis, what did he say?” “He wants me at the Draven estate.” “Did he explain why he kept the investigation secret?” “No.” I slipped my phone into my pocket. “He refused to discuss it over the phone.” Rebecca let out a humorless laugh. “Of course. Your family keeps secrets, and we’re expected to show up whenever they call.” “I didn’t say I was going.” Her eyebrows lifted slightly. I pulled out the chair beside her and sat down. “I’m not going anywhere without you.” She studied me as if she were waiting for me to change my mind. “My father asked me to come alone,” I continued. “I

  • Again His Luna   The Warning They Buried.

Rebecca’s POVI stared at the folded document on the table, unable to ignore the pressure building in my chest.Only minutes ago, Harper had admitted that the story I remembered from my first life was incomplete. Now, she expected me to believe that a piece of paper could explain why Davis had chosen me, why our marriage had fallen apart, and why I had died believing I was nothing more than a convenient alliance.Davis reached for the document, but I placed my hand over it.“Let me read it first,” I said. His eyes moved from my hand to my face. “Rebecca, I only want to see what it says.”“I know. But I spent my entire marriage being the last person to understand what was happening around me. I won’t do that again.”Davis went quiet. Then he pulled his hand back.“Fine. Read it first.”There was no argument, no attempt to take control. He simply moved closer so he could see the document when I opened it.For some reason, that small act unsettled me more than if he had argued.I unfolde

  • Again His Luna   HARPER’S WARNING.

Rebecca’s POVI followed Davis into the living room just as someone opened the apartment door.Harper Arquen stepped inside. For a moment, I forgot what I was doing. The sight of her brought back the last hours of my first life, when her cruel words had made me believe that my marriage to Davis had been nothing but a business arrangement. She looked as elegant as I remembered, wearing a fitted black dress with her hair falling neatly over her shoulders.Davis stopped beside the sofa. “Harper? What are you doing here?”“I need to speak with Rebecca.”His eyebrows drew together. “You came all this way to speak with my roommate?”“The matter concerns her.” Harper glanced at me. “I’ll explain everything to you afterward.”I folded my arms. “You can explain it now. I don’t see why you need to speak to me privately.”Harper studied me for a moment before nodding. “Fine. Davis can stay nearby, but I would prefer to speak with you first.”I didn’t like the way she was avoiding his questions,
