Davis’s Pov

I stare down the empty hallway where Rebecca just vanished, my jaw clenched so hard I think my teeth might crack. People do not walk away from me. People do not look at me with eyes full of pure hatred when we have barely even spoken more than a few polite words at pack banquets.

I am Davis Draven. The future Alpha of the Draven Pack. Everyone is careful around me, everyone wants my approval, and everyone treats me like I am made of glass and gold.

Except for Rebecca Browns.

Tonight, she looked at me like I was a monster hiding under her bed. And what makes it worse—what makes my mind race and my temper flare—is that I cannot figure out why.

"Davis?"

I blink, tearing my eyes away from the corner where she disappeared. My beta, Lucas, steps out of the ballroom doorway, wiping a hand across his forehead and looking at me with a confused grin. "Hey man, your parents are looking for you. They want you to talk to the trade delegates from the northern territory."

"Tell them I'll be there in a minute," I snap, my voice colder than I intended.

Lucas stops dead in his tracks, his smile fading. He takes a step back and looks me up and down. "Whoa, chill out. What's wrong with you? Did someone from the rival packs try to start something?"

"No," I mutter, turning on my heel and walking briskly down the hallway to find the fresh air of the terrace. I need to cool down. My head is pounding, and my wolf is acting completely out of its mind.

Deep inside my chest, my wolf is scratching and pacing like a trapped animal. It’s angry. It’s restless. And worst of all, it is howling for Rebecca.

Shut up, I tell my wolf, dragging a hand through my dark hair as I lean against the cold stone railing of the balcony. She hates us. Didn't you hear the way she spoke to us? She wants nothing to do with us.

My wolf ignores me completely. It only cares about one thing: the sweet, intoxicating scent of jasmine and rain that lingered on Rebecca’s skin when she walked past me. It is driving me crazy. For months, the elders have been whispering about my future, talking about arranged alliances, elite breeding programs, and finding a suitable Luna to stand beside me.

They have even whispered about Harper, the girl with ties to the southern border, as a traditional match. But my wolf has never cared about any of them. It has stayed quiet, cold, and completely dead inside my chest—until tonight.

Until Rebecca looked at me with those wide, terrified, angry green eyes.

"Davis."

I jump slightly, turning around to see my father walking out onto the terrace. He has that heavy, serious look on his face that he always wears when he is about to talk about pack business or money.

"Father," I say, trying to push my annoyance down and put my mask back on. "I was just coming back inside."

"Good," my father says, stopping beside me and looking out over the city lights. "Because we need to talk about your schedule for next month. The university's elite Alpha leadership program is finalizing its roster. I've already spoken with the Browns family. They are sending their best, and I want you to request to work closely with their business heirs."

My ears perk up. Rebecca. She is going to be in that program.

A strange, heavy thrill shoots through my chest, though I try my hardest not to show it on my face. "The Brownss?" I ask, keeping my voice smooth. "Are you sure that's a good idea? Their daughter, Rebecca... she doesn't seem very fond of our pack right now."

My father lets out a short, dry laugh. "Rebecca is a sweet girl, Davis. She has always been polite. You must be imagining things. Besides, an alliance between our packs will give us complete control over the eastern trade routes. You are the future Alpha. You don't need her to like you; you just need her family's name next to yours."

His words leave a bitter taste in my mouth. You don't need her to like you. Why does that sentence bother me so much? I have never cared about anyone's personal feelings before. Marrying for duty, for power, for the pack—that is what my life has always been about. So why does the thought of Rebecca looking at me with such cold disgust make my stomach twist into painful knots?

"I'll handle the leadership program, Father," I say tightly. "I'll make sure the alliance happens."

"Good boy," my father says, clapping a heavy hand on my shoulder before turning and walking back inside the warm, noisy ballroom.

I stay out on the cold balcony for a long time, staring up at the dark night sky. My mind keeps replaying the way her voice shook when she told me to stay away. There was real fear in her eyes. Not just anger—fear. Like she knew something terrible about me that I didn't even know about myself.

How can someone be so afraid of a man they barely even know?

The next few days drag by slowly, but my mind is completely stuck on her. When the first day of the university's elite leadership program finally arrives, I pack my bags and head to the residential complex early. The program is supposed to be the ultimate test for young heirs—months of living in the designated campus housing, completing intense business projects, and learning pack diplomacy. Everyone is on their best behavior, trying to prove they are worthy of leading their families one day.

When I walk into the administrative office to check in, the head coordinator looks up from his desk with a look of pure panic on his face.

"Alpha Davis," the man stammers, standing up quickly and bowing his head. "We... we have a serious problem with the residential assignments."

I raise an eyebrow, crossing my arms over my chest. "A problem? What kind of problem?"

"Well, your reserved Alpha suite was accidentally double-booked due to a database glitch," the coordinator explains, sweating bullets. "And every other luxury apartment in the complex is completely full. There is only one single residential unit left that meets the security and space requirements for high-ranking pack heirs."

"Then give me that one," I say, keeping my voice calm and commanding. "What is the issue?"

The coordinator swallows hard, looking like he is about to deliver a death sentence. "The issue, sir... is that the only remaining unit has already been assigned to Rebecca Browns."

My breath catches in my throat. My wolf instantly wakes up inside me, letting out a loud, victorious roar that echoes through my soul.

Rebecca and I. Living under the exact same roof.

A slow, dangerous smile spreads across my face. She wanted to run away from me? She wanted to pretend I didn't exist? Well, fate just handed me the ultimate advantage.

"Don't change a thing," I tell the coordinator smoothly. "I'll take the apartment."

  • Again His Luna   The Records He Was Told to Hide.

Rebecca’s POVAevrion’s warning followed me all the way to the Browns estate. He had refused to explain everything over the phone, insisting that we needed to speak face-to-face. But the fear in his voice had already told me this was serious.Someone had approached my brother about the old records. And whoever it was knew I might start asking questions.Davis sat beside me in the car, quiet for most of the journey. He hadn’t tried to take control of the situation or tell me what I should do. He had simply offered to come with me while Harper stayed behind to search for the original sender of the message.I appreciated that, even if I wasn’t ready to trust him completely.“You’ve been quiet,” Davis said.“I’m thinking.”“About what your brother found?”“About how many people have been keeping secrets from me.”He turned toward me. “I’m sorry.”I looked at him. “For what?”“For being part of a family that seems to have made decisions about your life without telling you the truth.”His a

  • Again His Luna   THE MESSAGE FROM HER PACK.

Rebecca’s POVI stared at the message on Harper’s phone, reading it twice before I could accept what it said.Do not let Rebecca return to the Browns estate alone. Someone has started moving against her.My fingers tightened around the phone.“When did you receive this?” I asked.“Shortly before you died.”I looked up at Harper. “And you never told me?”“I tried to reach you, Rebecca.”“That isn’t what I asked.”Harper lowered her eyes.I looked at the message again. There was no name attached to it, no number I could trace, and no explanation of who was supposedly moving against me.“Who sent this?”“I don’t know. The original account was deleted, and I couldn’t recover the information attached to it.”“But you kept the message?”“Yes. I saved a copy before the account disappeared.”I handed the phone back to her.“Did you try to find the sender?”“After you died. I followed every lead I could find, but the trail ended before I could identify the person.”My stomach twisted. In my fi

  • Again His Luna   The Death He Remembers.

Rebecca’s POVI went completely still.Davis had not said he dreamed of me dying. He had not said he imagined losing me.He had said he remembered it.I stared into his eyes, and the fear I saw there made my chest tighten. For weeks, I had convinced myself that my memories belonged to a future I could change. But Davis was describing something he had never experienced in this life. Was my second chance no longer mine alone?“Davis,” Harper said, stepping closer to him. “What did you see?”He barely seemed to hear her. His eyes remained on me, as if he was waiting for me to tell him something I couldn’t say.“Tell me exactly what you remember,” I said.Davis swallowed. “Fragments. A wedding. You and me arguing. You were crying, and I knew I had done something wrong.”My fingers curled against my palms. He continued, his voice growing quieter. “I couldn’t understand what was happening. I kept trying to reach you, but you looked at me as if you hated me.”I looked away before he could re

  • Again His Luna   HIS FATHER’S SECRET.

Davis’s POV For several seconds, I stared at my phone. My father hadn’t asked what the report contained or whether the claims were true. He had gone straight to warning me against taking it to the council. That alone told me he knew more than he was willing to admit. Rebecca stood across the table, clutching the report against her chest. Her eyes moved from my phone to my face as I ended the call. “Davis, what did he say?” “He wants me at the Draven estate.” “Did he explain why he kept the investigation secret?” “No.” I slipped my phone into my pocket. “He refused to discuss it over the phone.” Rebecca let out a humorless laugh. “Of course. Your family keeps secrets, and we’re expected to show up whenever they call.” “I didn’t say I was going.” Her eyebrows lifted slightly. I pulled out the chair beside her and sat down. “I’m not going anywhere without you.” She studied me as if she were waiting for me to change my mind. “My father asked me to come alone,” I continued. “I

  • Again His Luna   The Warning They Buried.

Rebecca’s POVI stared at the folded document on the table, unable to ignore the pressure building in my chest.Only minutes ago, Harper had admitted that the story I remembered from my first life was incomplete. Now, she expected me to believe that a piece of paper could explain why Davis had chosen me, why our marriage had fallen apart, and why I had died believing I was nothing more than a convenient alliance.Davis reached for the document, but I placed my hand over it.“Let me read it first,” I said. His eyes moved from my hand to my face. “Rebecca, I only want to see what it says.”“I know. But I spent my entire marriage being the last person to understand what was happening around me. I won’t do that again.”Davis went quiet. Then he pulled his hand back.“Fine. Read it first.”There was no argument, no attempt to take control. He simply moved closer so he could see the document when I opened it.For some reason, that small act unsettled me more than if he had argued.I unfolde

  • Again His Luna   HARPER’S WARNING.

Rebecca’s POVI followed Davis into the living room just as someone opened the apartment door.Harper Arquen stepped inside. For a moment, I forgot what I was doing. The sight of her brought back the last hours of my first life, when her cruel words had made me believe that my marriage to Davis had been nothing but a business arrangement. She looked as elegant as I remembered, wearing a fitted black dress with her hair falling neatly over her shoulders.Davis stopped beside the sofa. “Harper? What are you doing here?”“I need to speak with Rebecca.”His eyebrows drew together. “You came all this way to speak with my roommate?”“The matter concerns her.” Harper glanced at me. “I’ll explain everything to you afterward.”I folded my arms. “You can explain it now. I don’t see why you need to speak to me privately.”Harper studied me for a moment before nodding. “Fine. Davis can stay nearby, but I would prefer to speak with you first.”I didn’t like the way she was avoiding his questions,
