Elena: “What did you find?” Mr. Joseph asked his tone, somewhat harsher than usual. If anything, I could tell that he was angry, though what he was angry about I couldn’t understand, especially considering the fact that it wasn’t at the office and I couldn’t ask Drake, and considering the fact that he was with me throughout most of the day, I was thankful that he wasn’t going back to the office. Elena: I entered my house, frowning as I ran my fingers through my hair. The fact that I had complied to what the mafia men wanted me to do was not something that I liked. It felt like I was betraying my team and my boss, and that was not something that I found to be preferable, even though it meant just hiding something from them concerning what I was going to do. I took a deep breath, trying to clear my mind, wanting to understand how I was going to manage this. The idea of the men wanting to work with me frightened me more than I could let out.
