Chapter 142

Meridith do not like the look on the healers face at all. The healer has finished examining her, she went to the inner room and came out with a glass of water.

She gave it to Meridith who looked at her suspiciously. "Tell me, what is going on? I do not like the look on your face at all"

"Drink your water first, it will alleviate your pains for now. I will get the herbs you need very soon"

Meridith opened her mouth to protest but she felt the familiar sharp pain on her belly. She took the water from Reiley and took it in one gulp.

"Done. Tell me what is wrong? Is the baby still in there?" She asked with barely concealed eagerness.

Reiley took the cup from Meridith and looked at her in the eyes, "A few weeks ago, was it your first miscarriage?"

Meridith wondered how that has gotten to do with anything, "No it wasn't. The Palace physician confirmed that I am pregnant..."

"What about the sharp pains?I asked you the last time but you said it wasn't important!" Reiley cried, stricken.
