13. Wanted

My words had hit him hard, but I didn’t care, he had marked me against my will. When I woke his arm was wrapped around me as usual and although it brought me a tiny bit of comfort, I didn’t want it and climbed out of bed, he doesn’t wake and I decide to go and see Beta Jax. I change quickly out of the ripped sweatshirt and joggers and pull on some fresh clothes, covering up the horrible mark that sat on my shoulder. When I glance out the window, the rain was falling thick and fast and I find an umbrella in Daryl’s cupboard.

Creeping out the house was easy, no one was about, no guards on the doors and I was thankful, no doubt they would have woken Daryl as soon as they saw me. Hurrying across the ground and into the hospital, the nurse looks alarmed to see me and asks if everything was all right
