Alpha Killian

Meanwhile, Somewhere in Florida

Starlight Pack

"I hate it when you're like this!!" Alpha Jethro yelled at his son - Killian.

Jethro's face was red with fury as he watched his son stumble over his words, and whine about their present circumstances.

"What kind of statement was that?!" he bellowed. "You're supposed to be the alpha now, but you're acting like a weakling! How do you expect anyone to follow you if you can't even stand up for yourself?!"

Killian stood with his hands tightly clutched beside him as he stared at his angry father.

His face was held in a small scowl, even with that scowl he looked perfectly handsome.

His symmetrical face looked like it had been sculpted by a master artist, each feature perfectly crafted to create an otherworldly beauty.

He had this piercing blue eyes that seemed to bore an hole in the soul of whoever stared for too long, his perfectly chiseled jawline clenched and unclenched as he listened to his father speak.

Killian recoiled under his father's rage, feeling small and insignificant. But Jethro wasn't done yet. He took a deep breath and tried to compose himself before speaking again.

"Listen to me, son. You have to believe in yourself. You have to know that you're strong and capable, and that you deserve to be the alpha. You can't let anyone else tell you otherwise."

"Dad, whether they say it or not I know it's what they think!"

"This is not a statement of weakness!" Killian finally replied.

"I've told you this since you turned eighteen or ever since you were a child rather!"

"Never let the actions or inactions of your pack give you these thoughts!"

"You are the Alpha! Do you know what that means, as much as you're sensitive to the people of your pack you should be unaffected!" He said.

"I see how strong and agile you are as a leader and now knowing that you're having this thoughts?! Should I say I'm disappointed?!"

"I'm not having these thoughts Dad, I'm just saying!" He replied.

"Aren't you worried also?!"

"I'm Twenty-one, already crowned Alpha and I don't have a mate!" He said

"Am I supposed to lead the pack without a Luna!"

"Having a Luna by my side also signifies how strong I can be!" He lamented.

"Stop it! Just stop it Killian" his Father whispered.

As he spoke, his father anger began to dissipate,

"I know it's not easy," he said, more gently this time.

"But you should know, the patient dog eat the fattest bone, I'm certain that the Moon Goddess is preparing a suitable Luna for you!" He added and Killian nodded slowly.

"I've contacted Alexander, he'll be coming back to the pack!" Killian said changing the subject totally as his expression grew serious.

"With Marcus?!"

"With Marcus!" Killian replied.

"They have promised to come back and help around here!" He added, Jethro's eyes shone and in a flash his face went back to expressionless.

"They agreed to come back and help with the attack after what happened with their parents?!"

"Yes, they agreed and by my calculations they should arrive in two days time!"

"Quick, get everyone to prepare for their return"

"Get them a comfortable place to stay and all"

"I already did that, although they asked for a house in the most quiet part of they pack, they don't want go stay on the main street" Killian explained.

"Why is that?!"

"Don't know, didn't ask" he replied and Jethro nodded slowly.

"I need to go for a run Dad, I'll be back soon" Killian said as he bowed respectfully and stepped out of his room.

Immediately Killian got to the woods he inhaled deeply as the familiar scent hit him, he slowly squinted his eyes as he tuck his hands into his pocket and began to walk deep into the wood.

Soon his walk turned into a jog and finally into sprint as he raced deep into the wood.

"Put me in control" Gerald, his inner wolf finally said and immediately his eyes turned blazing golden yellow, his bones snapped into place as he took his wolf form.

The alpha wolf bursted through the dense foliage of the forest with a powerful stride, his muscular legs propelled him forward with effortless grace. His thick, dark fur ripples in the wind as he moved. His keen senses honed to the sound of his pack's distress, if anything happens while he's in the woods.

As he ran, his thoughts were consumed by the danger that his pack was facing. He knew that they were under attack, and he felt a deep responsibility to protect them. His powerful jaws clenched with determination, and his sharp eyes scanned the surrounding trees for any signs of danger.

His mind raced with strategies and tactics, analyzing every possible angle of attack and considering how best to defend his pack.

Despite the chaos and danger that swirled around him, the alpha wolf remains steadfast and focused, determined to lead his pack to safety and protect them from harm. As he ran through the woods, his fierce determination and unwavering courage made it clear that he is a true alpha in every sense of the word.

And yes his father was right, who cares if he doesn't have a mate yet, he's more than able and deserves to be alpha even without a mate!.

His pace slowly reduced as he finally came to an halt, his eyeballs began to return to their normal color as he gradually switched back to his human form.

He sat quietly on the floor Infront of the small lake as he stared at it.

"Killian you need to get back home!" He heard his dad say through his mind link and he stood up at once sensing the urgency in his voice.

"What's going on?!" He asked in reply as he began to make his way back to the pack.

"Your Mom, I don't know she ...." And his statement stopped Midway Killian could no longer hear his father's voice.

"Dad!"

"Dad!" He called repeatedly but no reply,

His adrenaline shot up immediately at the thought of what could be going on back at home, his dad wasn't someone to just call him on trivial issues, he himself was once an alpha and could take care of things for himself, but calling him to come back now ?! He couldn't help but be worried of the possibilities of whatever just happened now.

His speed increased as he raced all the way back home.

"Put me in control, I'll get you home faster!" He heard his inner wolf say but he just shunned him and kept on running.

Meanwhile, Massachusetts ....

As Lyra walked through the front door, she let out a heavy sigh and dropped her bag on the ground. Her hair was disheveled and her clothes were crumpled and stained. She looked tired but angry, as if she had been through a lot.

"What happened to your face!" Marcus asked as he stood up immediately Lyra walked in moving closer to her.

Xander was scrolling through his phone when she walked in, he simply just dropped his phone on the table, placed his left legs over his right and folded his hands around his chest.

"I got into a fight! And got fired from work" She seethed.

"So you got beaten up ?! Is that it?!" Xander finally asked, she scoffed with a small smirk playing at the corner of her lips and just when she was about to reply his phone beeped.

He picked it up and it was a video notification, the thumbnail was Lyra's picture and he quickly pressed play.

His lips stretched into a small smile as he watched the video and Lyra stared at him knowingly, leaving Marcus staring in-between both of them in confusion.

"Is she fine?!" Xander finally asked as he looked up at her and handed the phone over to Marcus to see.

"Don't know, don't care!" She replied.

"I didn't want to do it, she pushed me!"

"How dare she talk about my family in that manner, she knows nothing about me!" Lyra growled anger reoccurring through her veins.

"You did well" Xander replied with a small smile and Marcus eyes went wide.

"She did well?! She almost killed her!" Marcus pointed out almost in a yell and Xander turned to look at him.

"Well that's a good sign right?!"

"I don't know where the energy came from but I know I felt a certain surge of energy"

"I know I shouldn't have gone that far, you taught me to be polite and patient, I'm sorry" Lyra said her voice sincerely apologetic as she bowed slowly Infront of Marcus.

He simply couldn't just get his gaze off her as he stared at her, maybe Xander was right, her life here is just an illusion.

And If he loved her really, her place wasn't in Massachusetts.

"When did you say we're leaving again?!" Lyra asked as she turned to Xander and he bursted out laughing.

"You sly little one!" He said after he became sober.

"So you caused trouble here and now you want to run away?!" He asked and she rolled her eyes.

"I'm not running away, didn't you propose that we leave earlier today?!"

"And you disagreed!"

"Well now I agree!" She retorted but not in a yell, she knew better than to raise her voice at Xander.

"What's there to stay here for anyway?!" She asked as she picked up her bag from the floor.

"I'm already trending, no one will accept me to work for them after this, so I might as well take your way out!" She said and he nodded slowly.

"Excellent choice my dear!"
