Chapter 1

Savage,

I smelled my coffee and sighed. It smelled divine especially after a long hard day. Running errands and filling paperwork to claim that piece of land.

I have gone through officials, alphas and even humans to have it under my name. It was bothersome but I can’t waltz in and just start building my pack houses.

I sipped the coffee and groaned in pleasure, all I needed now was a run in my new claimed land and mark my territory the old fashion way.

Some alphas don’t do that now but this is our instinct or to be more exact our wolf’s basic instinct. To mark our territories by peeing on it.

Yeah thinking about it out load makes it look and feel ridiculous even disgusting but this was how my father did it and his father before him.

I sipped the last drop of my coffee and signaled the bartender to bring me another cup. But the man who looked to be running the diner nodded to the girl and came to my table holding the big coffee pot.

“Are you just passing by or are you intending to stay here in Black feet longer.”

I sipped some of my hot scolding coffee before looking up at the male who asked me this invasive question.

I breathed his scent in and held it for a long moment. A male adult wolf, over twenty five and from his scent he might be an enforcer.

“Do you think that it is your business to middle in my business, wolf?”

I said calmly but let my aura and pheromones seep out. The male’s eyes narrowed and his nose flared as he smelled my scent.

“It is not meddling if you were trespassing on another’s alpha territory. I was merely asking so I would tell my alpha about your presence.”

I smirked; the enforcer has a backbone, good, so the Black Feet pack aren’t a bunch of cowards. This is good news at least they will have my back if anything happened.

“Alpha Hunter already knows about our presence, the officials had told him that we will be your new neighboring pack.”

Sawyer my beta said as I ignored the lesser wolf. This was already making me bored. I came here to this diner for one reason only and still it didn’t show.

“Then excuse my rude attitude. Please enjoy your day and your order is on the house.”

The enforcer said bowing his head a little and turned around but not before letting his pheromones out a little.

I chuckled when my beta growled at the show of aggression. If I was another alpha I would have put that male on his ass, but again this isn’t the purpose of my little visit today.

“Then it is true. That pack is so closed off and they don’t mingle with others. That warrior is already talking with his alpha even though I had told him he already knows. Are you sure that you want to do this, especially after what we had heard from the people around, he is using you, Savage.”

I hummed not saying anything to Sawyer’s question. We have been through this for a while now and still my answer was the same.

This union needs to be made, there is no other way around it specially now after seeing this. The whole diner atmosphere turned rigid and hostile.

I can count five new enforcers and a few pack members that showed themselves now. They were agitated and uneasy.

But they can’t do shit about it. Their alpha must have told them by now that it is pointless. Now I’m their new neighbor, I got the final papers from the council already.

We sat in silence for over ten minutes Sawyer was giving me those disapproving looks which in another time, I would have clawed his eyes off for.

The door of the diner dinged and my body went rigged. I knew that was her before seeing or even smelling her scent.

My wolf perked up too, he has been uninterested in anything that took place around us today and curling up in the far corner of my mind.

But now the fucker was wide awake and looking at my surroundings. I felt my sense open and spread. I could smell, feel and hear every heartbeat, scent and small voices around me.

Even though the place went silent the moment that door opened and everyone was looking at something behind my back.

‘The little demon girl is here.’

‘Do you think that this strange alpha might do something to her here, I would love to see it happen?’

‘Oh be quiet he might hear you and it would be our asses that get handed to us.’

Some people murmured and I frowned a little, she can hear them but they choose to ignore it and just spoke what is on their minds?

I focused on the small female that walked slowly but surely toward the male who was just talking to me. Her little feet were silent but they moved swiftly on the floor.

Her shoes didn’t even squeak or give any indication that there was any weight on it. It was impressive because she wasn’t small at all.

That small pink t shirt and jeans she wore didn’t hide her generous hips or full breasts. They both moved and jiggled with each step she took.

The female stopped mere inches away from the man and giggled silently. Her small hand rose to tap the taller male on his shoulder but the male turned around suddenly and hugged the female and raised her up.

She laughed loudly and the male twirled her around and then hugged her to his firm body while scent marking her cheeks and neck intimately.

I narrowed my eyes at the scene. This was strange, from the information I had gathered I knew that she has one brother and to mark a neck is considered intimate act that belongs to mates only and I’m sure as fuck that he is not her mate.

I stood up my still half full mug in my right hand and walked toward them as they chatted happily while the male was still scent marking each inch of her body he can reach.

“Hey you didn’t tell me that you are visiting today; I would have made some of your favorite lemon cakes.”

The male said as he was looking at the female fondly.

“It is ok, something came up and the alpha sent me here to the city, I need to go back soon something about important meeting but I thought to pass by to say hello and leave. Besides, you should be happy not like that.”

The female said in her small lyrical voice pouting and I swallowed a loud growl that was threatening to come out.

“Tam, you know it’s always nice to see you. This would be the highlight of my day, precious.”

The male enforcer said and this time I couldn’t stop my snarl. The woman stiffened when she felt my aura approaching her and I was able to see her body shake the moment she smelled my scent.

I crowded her between me and the enforcer and lowered my head to scent her but kept my blazing blue eyes on the male.

My wolf didn’t like how close they were to each other even though she isn’t ours but in his mind that female is already is.

I smelled her white hair and neck and growled when all I got were faint traces of lavender and something sweet. She stunk of him.

My fist clenched on the mug and it cracked between my fingers. Blood flew rabidly from the cuts and the female turned around to eye me in horror.

My nose flared at the smell of her fear and agitation but all it did was making my wolf purr. This was his favorite smell after the smell of our enemies’ blood.

The female striking lavender eyes looked at my face, body then my hand. She staggered backward and pumped into the man’s chest when she figured my status.

Her loud whimpers were pathetic and the small shudders that racked her body were so obvious that I almost rolled my eyes.

But beyond that everything about her was beautiful. From her long white hair to her stunning lavender round eyes that were framed by long white lashes.

I lowered my mouth to her ear and whispered.

“Go home, little wolf. Tell your brother that alpha Savage is on his way for our meeting and we need to finalize what we had discussed before.”

The woman swallowed harshly before nodding her head and run out of the place. I sneered in the man’s face flashing him my canines and turned around to my beta.

“She will do Sawyer. Let us go.”
