Chapter Thirty Two

"Oh, my dear nephew, what am I going to do with you? You make me so happy. I'm very happy that you wished for me to find my mate. Thank you"

Rex said with open arms. Alan didn't hesitate, running into Rex's arms. Rex hugged him so tight, Alan thought he was going to break.

"U...Uncle Rex, I'm going to break. I can't breath"

"Oh, my dear, sorry" Rex pulled Alan away from him and lifted him up onto his lap. "We also thank you young master Alan for thinking about us. I also want to find my mate so bad" Minna said, Sandy smack her on the head. She held her head, glaring Sandy.

Everyone burst out laughing, "Thank you young master. Thank you" Debby said, feeling so warm. No one had ever put her first. Never. Though Alan didn't say her alone, he did say everyone in the house, including her and that warmed her hear to the point of tears.

Cleaning her eyes with her hand, she said, "I'm sorry, excuse me" They all watched her leave with worried looks. James who was also very worried about decided to follow, "I'm sorry, please excuse me" James slightly bowed and followed Debby who headed for the kitchen.

"Oh, will she be alright?" Alan worriedly. He didn't know what he said would make Debby sad. Now he was regretting ever saying a thing. "Is all my fault. Debby is sad because of me"

Rex caressed his back to sooth him. "Don't worry Darling, she's not crying because she's sad but because she happy" Marie assured him, "Really?" Alan asked, not convinced and worried about Debby as he looked at the direction of the kitchen before looking back at Marie.

"Really" Alan nodded, getting a little convinced. "Okay, now, let's hand over our gifts!!" Roy announced to lift up the mood. "Yes!!" Alan said exciting! He got up from Rex's lap and ran to sit between Lvan and Tristan.

"Okay, so, who is going first?" He asked, they burst out laughing. The laughter dying down, Marie answered, "Then, your grandpa and I. Minna"

Minna bowed slightly and left the living room for the dinning. Coming back, he had a light pink looking bag. Marie took the bag and got up with Jack, kneeling before Alan, they smiled as they handed him the gift.

Alan happily took the bag and they said, "Happy birthday" kissing Alan's cheeks before they got up and went back to their seat. Happily looking at his gift, Alan excitingly asked, looking at his dads and his grandparents, "Can I open?! I want to see!!"

"Sure" lvan answered. Immediately, Alan took off the bag, revealing a light pinked color box. He immediately opened the box, exposing his present which was a brand new black schoolbag. Disappointment clouded his face when he saw his gift. Everyone burst out laughing, except Marie and Jack who looked seriously at their grandson.

"School is very important" Marie said, "Yes granny, I get it. Thanks a lot. I will cherish" Alan said in a sarcastic tone making everyone laugh so hard. Tristan laughed so hard he thought he was going to expose. Marie and Jack on the other hand were smiling, their grandson was just so cute.

"Come to think of Alan, you don't have to take this bag only for school. You can use it for travelling too" Rex said after he tried so hard to die down his laughter.

"That's the main reason why we bought it" Marie and Jack confirmed with a smile. "I love you granny and grandpa, thank you for the gift" Alan got up to hug them both, "Huh, sweet of you my sweet son" Marie said, stroking Alan's hair.

Alan pulled away from them and went to sit back down. "Who's next?" Alan asked, they laughed again.

"I'm next my Prince" Chris said. "This is from me and Even" Chris said as he handed Alan a brown bag. "Thank you Uncle Chris and Uncle Even. Can I open?" The kid asked his daddy. "You don't have to ask son, is your day, you can do whatever you want" lvan answered.

Alan excitingly opened the bag and brought out a brown box. He opened the box, his eyes sparkling with happiness when he saw the sneakers he desperately wanted but said nothing about it.

"How did you know I wanted these?" Alan asked, "Remember I was with you when you saw them?" Chris said. Alan recalled when he first saw these sneakers in the shop through the mirror window. Uncle Chris was right. That day, Chris had gone with him for a walk down town.

"Thank you uncle Chris, Uncle Even I love you both!!" Alan said, giggling. "We love you too" Even and Chris said together before they looked at each other. Colten was watching them. Smiling at each other, Colten felt a sharp pain his poor heart.

He immediately looked away though it wouldn't stop the pain, he didn't want to see anymore.

Just like that, one by one everyone else presented their gifts. Roy gifted Alan a football since he knew how good Alan was at playing and how much he wanted his own ball. Alan was so happy, thanking him and telling him how much he loved.

Seeing the kid that happy gave Colten a good and warm feeling.

Next was Roy. He gave Alan's birthday present which was a big toy of Natsu. A character in a Japanese anime 'Fairy Tail'. Alan totally fell in love with the guy after watching the anime with Tristan and Roy once.

Alan was so happy, even screaming in joy.

Seeing the kid acting that way, they couldn't help but laugh. Alan was just so happy, asking Roy where he bought it since Japanese anime stuffs weren't sold in town.

But Roy only replied with 'I have my ways'

The next gift was from Rex. And his gift was a box of sunglasses with different colors. He didn't know what to buy and only bought what Corey suggested when he asked him what to buy for Alan his birthday.

Alan's reaction was the same. Happy, thanking and saying I love you. Then, Sebastian, Corey and Zane's present was presented by lvan. The three couldn't make because something came up and so gave Alan's birthday present to Lvan to give it to Alan.

The present was a cute puppy. Alan always wanted a puppy but lvan just wouldn't buy one for him. He was so happy, thanking Sebastian, Corey and Zane who weren't around.

Lastly, Minna, Sandy, James and Debby presented their present. It was a big box of chocolate. Since Alan was a kid and wasn't allow to eat too much sweet, they decided to keep the gift in the fridge. Saying Alan was only allow to have one once a day.

Alan wasn't happy with the agreement as it was his present but he didn't argue. Thanking them with a happy look.

Debby was seated on the kitchen stool with James standing opposite her with a concern look. Debby had been crying for far too long, making him very worried about her.

Sniffing, Debby wipe her tears with a tissue she took from the pack of tissue.

"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" James asked in a worried tone. Debby nodded, "Yes, don't worry. I just need a few minutes"

"D—Do you miss them?" 

"Yes. I recalled them. I want to see them James. I want to see them"

"Don't worry, I will look for them for you" James assured her with a smile.

"Okay" Debby responded, wiping her tears while forcing out a smile to assure James she was okay.
