“Well this is a special treat everyone, the Alpha and Luna both have joined us today.” Varin’s booming voice addressed the full stadium grounds and the gathered pack members.
There were groupings all along the stadium, based on age and capability. A group of young freshly shifted wolves with an instructor standing with them. There were about 6 separate groupings and with our arrival, the energy of the crowd seemed to strengthen and become a buzz as everyone talked in hushed tones.
“Hello everyone. This is your Luna Kara, she will be joining us for training today and will eventually be joining a group of her skill level. There will be a barbeque sometime soon as an official ceremony to welcome her to the pack.” Silas said to the gathered crowd as he motioned to me. I gave a small wave and a smile as I shifted on my feet, getting antsy and itching to start.
“Alright let's get into it. Everyone in your groups and paying attention to your instruct
Chapter 40 already. Quite pleased with myself :)
The forest was bright this time around, the moon nowhere to be found. Instead, the sun was high in the sky and bathed the entire forest in its soft warm light. The trees were unlike any green I had ever seen before, the leaves were thick and lush and the green so vibrant and beautiful it didn't seem real. They almost sparkled in the sunlight and the forest was loud with the sounds of life. The birds sang and called to one another, animals skittered in the underbrush, wolves howled in the distance and the loud beating of very large wings could be heard as a large gust of wind started to shake the trees. I gasped in awe as I saw a large beautiful golden dragon descend from the sky and land across from me on the grass, the wind dying down as it furled in its gigantic wings. I stared in absolute reverence at the amazing and beautiful dragon in front of me. Never had I ever thought to see something so magnific
For the next full week, my days were pretty much the same, I accompanied Silas to his office and helped him with the work, seeing how things were done. Any useful information I filed away for later and sent messages to Victor when I had a free moment. I would train in the afternoons with my group and then finish the evening with dinner and then alone time with Silas. I still refused to do anything more intimate than the occasional kiss. He liked to hold me and cuddle me to him and I will admit I didn’t refuse that as much as I probably should have. Watching a movie or reading together became the norm for our evening together, still with the stipulation of no rom coms or the like. I could tell he was becoming a little more frustrated with my refusal each day but still, he didn’t push. How understanding and patient he was with me was getting on my nerves. It made it harder to hate him and distance myself fr
My breath hitched as Silas nipped the skin above the waistband of my panties, shivering as his rough calloused fingers skimmed along my bare skin. I gasped as he slowly started to pull and lower the fabric before groaning and sitting up, pushing him off of me. I stood and started pacing the floor, my heart and mind racing as I tried so hard to make sense of what just happened. I heard Silas sigh and hit the ground once before he lifted up onto his knees and looked at me. I stopped pacing and stared at him and chewed on my bottom lip, my face flushed and I ran my hand through my hair in frustration. Slowly his glowing amber eyes returned to their normal honey brown colour and his breathing evened out, his body calm and no longer showing signs of what might of happened. “I can’t. I’m not ready for that. Not yet. We both know it’s obviously heading that wa
“You did good up there. Effortless and confident.” He smiled at me as he kissed my cheek and held me to him, denying the people who offered for us to skip in line to serve ourselves first. “I felt like I was shaking like a leaf.” I chuckled and wrapped my arms around his torso, resting my head on his chest. “You’d honestly never know it.” I just smiled and moved forward in line, both of us filling plates and bowls of what we wanted before finding a place to sit. I settled at the table without plates while Silas went to find us some drinks. I watched the crowd of people and smiled when I saw how happy and relaxed everyone was. I honestly hoped this was the right thing to do, reintroduce myself to the pack in this manner. “Alright, I got us each a cup
The next morning I stirred and looked behind me, seeing Silas sound asleep almost completely covered with the blankets, only the top of his head and his messy brown hair visible. I stifled a laugh and stretched before climbing out of bed and pulling on tights and a shirt from my dresser before slowly making my way downstairs to the kitchen. I went to the coffee maker and put on a full pot before going to the fridge and looking through it for things for breakfast. I had so many options, I just wasn't sure what I wanted, I wanted everything and nothing all at the same time. Deciding it might be nice to treat everyone to breakfast I took out the carton of eggs, bacon and everything I would need for pancake mix. I turned on the small radio on the counter and let it play low while I made everything, dancing around the kitchen and taking a few sample bites of
About an hour later, Silas’s mother came back and walked into the room with a few people behind her, some carrying boxes and a few carrying rolled-up carpets and packed up artwork. Yvette set out things on top of the desk and on the coffee table before looking around and getting the people to put the boxes down to the side so no one would trip over anything. While she was gone I had managed to clean the whole room so it no longer smelled dusty and unused. I had the windows open for fresh air and even managed to find a scented candle on the very sparse bookshelves. It was definitely an improvement. “You work fast my dear. How about we look through the boxes and we can decide what you want to keep and display in the room. Anything not used can just be boxed up and set aside so it’s not in the way.” Yvette offered as she spread out some paint samples on the desk.
I walked into Silas’s office and tried to keep my face clear of the storm of emotions I was feeling on the inside. Anders, Greg, Silas and Varin all stood around the room and waited in tense silence before Sillas finally came towards me and grabbed my hand in his, looking at me in concern. I gave him a tight-lipped smile and sat on top of his desk and looked at everyone in the room. God this had disaster written all over it.“Ok, so you know who that man is. What can you tell us about him?” Silas asked as I slowly kicked my feet back and forth and folded my hands in my lap. I sighed and shook my head before looking at everyone.“I was 10 Silas, my focus was my friends and homework seeing as both of my parents were teachers. I know some things about what was going on in the pack but not a lot. I had met Tristan on a few occasions. All I k
“Why is it that action movies are always so unrealistic?” Silas mused as he lay on the couch, his head in my lap and my one hand running through his hair. I snorted in amusement and tugged on his locks playfully. “Because if they were realistic they would be very boring movies.” I chuckled and sipped the last of my milkshake, pouting that it was all gone. Silas laughed at me and ran his hand over my bare calf, looking up at me with a teasing smile. “You’re cute when you pout my dear.” I huffed and stuck my tongue out at him before smiling as I reached for the rest of my meal from the diner and finished it, making sure I didn’t drop anything on Silas. “And you are tense and pretending you’re not. It’s- aaach!” I stopped mid-sentence and screamed, my body tensing and feeling like there was fire in my skin as I drop
