Diary Entry of Fallon Teroth (16) of the Grey Peak PackThe Grey Peak Pack celebrates the bond forming between a werewolf's human side and their wolf side. As winters close and the final snows cap the peaks, tall bonfires are built all around the square. A platform is erected in front of the pack house with a discreet closed area in the center. At the end of winter after a young werewolf first shifts, their wolf is introduced to the pack by the Luna.The tradition started, as most did, out of a tragic necessity. Long ago, the Grey Peak pack was spread far beyond the mountain to the plains below. The Alpha at the time had a son. He was a bright child who followed his father constantly emulating his every move, even getting other kids to join him in their own version of warrior training. P.o.V. Moira Carefully peaking around the door to ensure her mother was gone, Moira darted across the hall into her brother's room. She wanted to gush over their plans to join warrior training and show the whole gang all the things they learned from their father. But she faltered as her eyes fell on her brother's stiff figure by the window. It is hard to distinguish werewolf children from human or magic ones when they are this age. By 16 or 17, they would grow much taller and more muscular but for now they were just children. Some are slightly taller or slimmer or bigger but not outside of what the humans consider normal. P.o.V Alpha Darren/TybrisTybris and Axel chose a speed about half of what they'd normally run. Alpha Darren and Beta Owen had decided on this and the course the run would take ahead of time. If the wolf who paired with Baron could keep pace, they would steadily increase until he began to lag behind. Then they would slow to something that pushed him slightly but he could maintain. It may not be a race, but it was certainly a test.As they neared the end of the first leg of the run, the Alpha, Beta, and Commander were pleased with the young wolf shadowing them. He was chosing his path well and following subtle changes in Baron's trajectory that kept him out of any tough spots. P.o.V. Patrick/ColmWatching his sister's wolf saunter into the enclosure on the platform squeezed the knot that had formed in Patrick's stomach when everyone realized he wasn't the large black wolf. How could she and Trajan disregard mother so? It was cruel for them to set her up like this in front of the entire pack. Moira never thought of how her ideas would hurt others, and clearly Trajan wasn't any different.As she emerged and announced her own wolf's name, the crowd started cheering and the young wolves rushed forward. Patrick felt heat rising to his face. She had planned this all along to raise her own standing. To make herself the center of attention. To steal the night away from everyone else. His mother tried to congratulate the entire group but it was chaos and she was forced to retreat to the pack house.

P.o.V. Commander Alexi/Baron Warrior Commander Alexi always taught the first four weeks of training for the new wolves. Every pack member was required to do six months of training after their presentation to the pack. This gave everyone the basics of defense and offense should an emergency arise, and gave him and his soldiers a chance to size up the new members as potential prospects once they graduated highschool. As he jogged around the training yard, he let his mind wander and work through his plans for these new wolves. He was looking forward to this group. Not only was it the largest in history, it also contained more than a dozen new wolves from strong warrior lines. The information from the warriors at the run was promising as well.
