LOGINLOL - Gerard is still competing with a book boyfriend!
Silja POV You have got to be kidding me. Gerard and I just had a fantastic time in the bedroom, washed up, and we were going to enjoy a meal together and his mother showed up. ‘Why is she here?’ I asked in the mind link. ‘Hell, if I know.’ He responded. “Mother. What are you doing here?” He asked, and his tone was almost clipped. “Is that any way to speak to your mother?” She said. “Fine. I’ll ask then. Why are you here?” I said. Viola narrows her eyes at me. “Just because you got pregnant, doesn’t mean you can speak to me any way you want, Silja.” “Excuse me. You are in my home, uninvited. I will speak any damn way I want in my own damn home, Viola.” I shot back. “It’s Mrs. Sinnett, to you.” “When you are in my home, you will address me as Ms. Wilde. I will address you any damn way I please.” Gerard interrupts, “Okay, enough. Mother, you still haven’t answered my question. Why are you here? Has something happened?” She huffed, “Yes, something happened. You signed away cust
Gerard POV I leave the apartment and decide to walk to the store. It’s not far, and I honestly want to call Erik to ask for his opinion. The phone rings more than once, and when Erik finally picks up, he is breathing heavily. I guess he is with a woman. “Your timing sucks, Alpha.” “Sorry, not sorry,” I said, and in the background I heard Romy’s voice asking if he wanted something to drink. “Water is fine,” he replied, and I am floored. “You’re fucking Romy? As in, Silja’s best friend, Romy?” I asked, and I can’t believe it. “You told me to get close to her,” Erik said, and I heard the arrogant smirk in his voice. “Befriend her, not fuck her. Goddess!” I said, running a hand through my hair. “Well, it’s too late now. She’s a wildcat, too.” “Silja’s wolf can understand the dreams she and I share. We just had one, and it was disturbing. I want to talk to you about it, but clearly you are busy. I need to go to the store and pick up shrimp and beets. Apparently, Jr. is craving them
Silja POV Gerard and I are sitting together, having a picnic. He’s rubbing my belly and kissing my neck. We are both smiling and happy. We are looking out at the beautiful view from the pack lands, and everything is peaceful. Next, we are sitting on a bench. My body is frail, and I’m still pregnant, but I’m not healthy. Gerard is nowhere to be seen. I’m by myself, crying and clearly heartbroken. Another man sits beside me and says he will take care of me and my pup. He leads me away, and I walk off into the dark. I jolt awake. I’m sitting straight up when I hear Gerard say, “No. She’s mine. Give her back to me.” I shake him awake. “Gerard. Gerard. Please, wake up.” Gerard jolts awake. “Silja!” he calls out, breathing heavily. His eyes lock on mine, and he grabs me and kisses me. His kiss is urgent, as if he fears I will disappear if he lets me go. When he pulls back, he is breathing hard, and his forehead rests against mine. “You can’t leave me, okay? Please don’t leave me,” he sa
Gerard POV When my father told me what my mother had over him, my expression darkened. I feel like my life has been one long lie. It also complicates things. I don’t even understand how my father didn’t see it back then. It makes me feel like a fraud, too. I spoke quickly with my father about a solution. I told him to offer the Deputy CEO position to Jaul so I can start making preparations. I’m going to keep everything quiet until I can solidify my position as Alpha. Once that is complete, I can clean up the mess and make things right, not just for me but for Silja, my father, and Jaul. I’m upset with my mother and how she could have been so underhanded. She will also be addressed when the time comes. Having Trina there is an issue. I want to talk to Silja about this because I want the pack to respect her, which means I want her to take the reins, and I will back her. I want to take her to the pack this weekend if she is well enough. If not, it will wait until next weekend. I will n
Jaul POV Dad finally gave me an opportunity to be the Alpha and CEO. Then I found out that Gerard’s mate is pregnant and agreed to be his Luna, so their pup is legitimate. That took me out of the running before the race even started. I went to find my dad and talk to him. I should have known this would be too good to be true. I was an idiot to think otherwise. I knocked on dad’s office door and entered when he said to come in. I sat in the chair on the other side of his desk, “You wanted to speak to me, dad?” “Yes, Jaul. I wanted to talk to you.” “If it’s to tell me that Gerard’s mate has accepted him and agreed to be his Luna, I already know. She’s pregnant too, I heard.” Dad’s face didn’t look surprised. “News travels fast around here.” He said and then continued. “Listen, I was very serious about training you to take over. The circumstances being what they are though changes things; however, I spoke to your brother.” “Yeah, I am sure he’s glad I won’t be a problem now for him
Gerard POV She just claimed me in front of my dad and her best friend. BEST. FUCKING. FEELING. EVER! When she said yes, she looked at me with more than just an answer to her question and for once I am feeling a flicker of hope that our relationship is really going to make a huge one-eighty. When we looked at dad and Romy, both sitting there and smiling, I felt my chest puff up with pride. “Okay. I’ll sign both copies first.” I said and scribbled my name immediately. I handed the pen to Silja, who just kept staring at me in disbelief. She took the pen and signed her name. She has elegant handwriting. I hadn’t noticed before. As soon as the documents were signed, dad stood up and so did Romy. “Well, Gerard, I think you may have been upgraded again.” She teased. “I think we should leave now and let you two get on with dinner.” Dad said as he opened the door for Romy and they both left. I turned to Silja who is still looking at me like I’m a mystery. “What?” I asked. Unexpectedly,
Gerard POV “When we get there, be nice to the girl. Her parents are good people, and you have screwed up enough already. Mind your manners.” My dad said. “Yes, I know, Dad.” I sighed. “I still don’t see why I cannot go.” Mom said. “Because you insulted their daughter and called her worthless. Yo
Gerard POV My mother was scolding me for being stupid and careless. Trina’s parents were consoling Trina while trashing me to my face. Erik looked at me with pity and Jaul looked at me curiously. All the pack members had long since gone and I heard the whispers as they were leaving. “He was reall
Silja POV “Silja, take the whole weekend. Go spend time with your folks. They should understand what is at stake too. I would like to bring them in here and talk to them, if that is okay with you.” Nolan said, giving me the choice. I look down at my hands and fidget with my fingers. My parents are
Silja POV Mr. Sinnett called me his daughter-in-law. Honestly, of all the people involved in this situation, he has been the only nice one. Not including my folks, of course. I'm not his daughter-in-law though. I am the unwanted party in this situation. “Mr. Sinnett, what can I do for you?” I aske
