Meeting Friends

While I was eating, I told my mother about my encounter with Rishi. As expected, she became dramatic.

“Why didn’t you bring him here? Does he look as same as he did before going abroad? Does he have any foreign girlfriend... and all”? She asked a series of questions.

I rolled my eyes and said, “Mumma relax, he is fine and no, he doesn’t look like before. He becomes more masculine, and I don’t know if he has a girlfriend or not”.

As we were talking, the front door opened and father came in from his work. When he saw me on the dining table, mouth full of momma’s delicacies, he smiled and opened his arms for me to hug.

I ran toward him to give him a big hug. He patted my back while laughing.

“My little angel, how are you”? he asked and Mumma rolled her eyes.

“Your little angel is in university now and after a few years she will be married. Now stop calling her that or she will never be grown up mentally”.

My mother always said this to my father and my father always
