Tristan's POV

Ava smiled, took a deep breath as she twisted her lips, “A man who is gentle and kind, he is thoughtful, handsome, tall, has a tattoo, emerald eyes, and is a powerful figure; who knows, he could also have lots of hidden past.”

I looked at Ava weirdly, “That’s strange; your type is weird; why would you want someone with a hidden past? Trust me, it’s not the best at all.”

Ava smirked, “Trust me, I know what I want and I will get him.”

“Okay then, I will communicate this to Aurora and make sure to find you such a man,” I rub her hair gently, and her smile widens, “I have picked enough flowers; I should go to bed now.”

“Yes, I should go to bed too,” Ava smiled. We both entered the palace but went to our different rooms.

I couldn’t sleep so I spent the whole night arranging the flowers and walking around my room till it was dawn.

“Sir, the private breakfast is ready,” Travis said when he entered my room, “It looks like you didn’t get any sleep,” He paused and looked at me f

  • Aurora, The Lycan King's Mute Mate   Chapter 118

Tristan's POV I still remember the look on Aurora's face the day Ava made our wedding known to the public. She looked hurt and betrayed, she looked weak and unable to understand the situation. I wanted to hug her and tell her that I didn't love Ava; I wanted to tell her that I didn't marry Ava because I wanted to. I wanted to tell her everything and ask for her help, but I was bound by an oath. I was bound by my own oath, an oath I couldn't break no matter what. See Aurora turn into a monster broke me even more, I didn't want her to make a mistake I wouldn't be able to fix. “I didn't tell her so why didn't you tell yourself?” Diana asked and I kept my lips sealed. I knew Diana had seen me and Ava. I knew she had sent a letter to Aurora, so I went to visit her before Ava made everything public. “Telling you is different; I told you because I needed you to help me out; I can't tell her; she might not be able to forgive herself,” I sighed.“Does anyone know you are here?” Diana as

Aurora's POV Grandma was a very confusing person; one minute, she was against me, and the next, she was with me.“I will punish her myself,” I smiled at Grandma.“You better do a good job, else I will go against you and punish her,” Grandma said, and I looked at her with surprise.“Mother, why are you doing this?” Tristan's Mother asked Grandma, “Both are your Granddaughter-in-law, so why are you favoring one more than the other?”“Was I present for the wedding?” Grandma asked, “So how can I accept her?”“You weren't present for Tristan and Diana's wedding but you accepted them,” Ava whined. Ava's tone looked like she was mocking Grandma and didn't care about what was going on.“Tristan and Diana's wedding was to form an alliance between two territories but I haven't heard the reason for your wedding,” Grandma snickered, “Don't tell me love because my Grandson knows too well than to marry his child's murderer.”“Ava would be made to clean the entire palace alone, including washing th

  • Aurora, The Lycan King's Mute Mate   Chapter 116

Aurora's POV I was lost in Tristan's pitiful eyes; I wanted to stop everything and tell him that it was okay. I wanted to hug him and tell him that he could rely on me, but my hands were tied.I wanted to know what was going on; I wanted to know why he was lying to me, and I wanted to know why I was being treated this way. “Please,” A lone tear rolled down Tristan's face. I took a deep breath, “Okay,” I bit my lip, raised my head, and rolled my eyes to stop tears from rolling down, “I will make sure a wedding reception doesn't happen.”“Thank you,” Tristan released a deep breath. I nodded my head and went to sit on the bed; I sat opposite the window, “The moon is beautiful tonight, and so are the stars,” I stared deeply at the moon, “I don't think I like it.”“Just the way, it's a full moon tonight; we also got married on the day of the full moon,” Tristan stood in front of me, blocking my view.I fisted the blanket in my hand, “Maybe that's why I hate it so much.”I glared at Tri

Aurora's POV I purposely avoided Tristan the entire day, I didn't go to my room for any reason, maybe because I didn't want to speak to him or I didn't want to hurt him. “Should I bring your dinner here or will you have it in your room?” Elena asked and I raised my head to meet her gaze. “I didn't even know it was evening,” I flashed a weak smile; I came out to sit here after having my bath in the morning, and suddenly, everywhere was dark, “I will be joining the family for dinner.” “You want to join them for dinner?” Elena yelled and I nodded my head, “What if they are rude to you?” Elena's concern made me smile, “I want to take what's rightfully mine. I want Ava to suffer, and I want to know why Tristan is doing all of this.” “What if he married her because he really loves her?” Elena's question struck me like lightning, I clenched my dress in my fist, and I bit my lip as I tried to hide my fear. I took a deep breath and stood up, “I would rather wait than assume anything,”

  • Aurora, The Lycan King's Mute Mate   Chapter 114

Aurora's POV I faced towards where the sun was rising. It was beautiful, I wish my life was as beautiful as that. I wiped the tears off my eyelid before it could come down when the morning cock crowed. It was the early hour of the money, yet everywhere seemed busy; I stopped my horse when I saw the palace guards running around and searching everything. “Is something wrong?” I asked one of the guards. “You may go on with your journey, there is nothing wrong,” The guard replied. I didn't push further, I knew it was against the rules to share what was going on in the palace. I was about to continue going my way when I heard, “Search everywhere and make sure you come back with Queen Aurora alive!” I heard Travis's voice, “You might as well kill yourself than come to me empty-handed,” He added, and a part of me knew those weren't Tristan's words. I rode my horse to where he was standing, “You aren't supposed to be here; please leave; you are obstructing our duty,” Travis sa

  • Aurora, The Lycan King's Mute Mate   Chapter 113

Aurora's POV I could hear the sounds of crickets, owls, and the rain hitting against the roof as I banged on Diana's door. There was no star, but the moon was extremely bright; it could be used as a light in a dark home. I was shivering from the cold.My hand stopped midway when I heard voices from inside the house“Aurora?” Diana said when she opened the door for me, she looked shocked and surprised to see me.A blanket was wrapped around her body and she held a lantern with two people who appeared to be workers standing behind her, “Why are you standing out here in the rain?” I didn't know what to tell her but I still wanted to say something, “I…. I…..” I broke down in tears when my lips couldn't form any words.“Come in,” She pulled me into her house, “You are soaking wet, let's get you changed into something.”I removed my dress and handed it to Diana. She passed me a blanket, and I wrapped it around my body. I had never been to Diana's place, “Have some,” She poured me a cup of

  • Aurora, The Lycan King's Mute Mate   Chapter 112

Aurora's POV I paused when I felt a drop of Tristan's tear on my shoulder, “I married her,” He mumbled against my neck.“What? What is going on?Did he really marry her?Does that mean she is the third wife?Didn't Queen Aurora banish Ava?Why is Aurora even hear?” The whispers in the hall made me feel weak.It felt like a storm had hit me; I wish I could go back to when Tristan and I were dancing; then, I wouldn't have heard such, or maybe I didn't hear well.I shut my eyes when Tristan's tears touched me again, “Aurora, I married Ava,” Now I was sure I heard well. I turned to Tristan, but I couldn't see anyone, I couldn't hear anyone; in the hall full of whispers and people, I could hear only Tristan's voice and see him.I searched his eyes for any joke but his eyes were red. I didn't see the love I had seen earlier, I saw fear and sorry in those eyes.My hands shook uncontrollably, but I managed to touch his face. I wanted him to tell me it was a joke, but his silence only made m

  • Aurora, The Lycan King's Mute Mate   Chapter 111

Aurora's POV The light stopped flickering as the person stood under the light. It was a woman who was dressed in black from head to toe, she was barefooted with a lot of anklets on her ankle. She wore a lot of jewelry, she looked like she was in her late 60s or early 70s, and she had a big black mole by the side of her nose. She had a big black bag in her right arm and she held the bell in her left hand.“Who let her in?!!!” Mother yelled, “Who let this insane woman in?!!”“They will all die, y'all will die!!!” She yelled, “She will kill all of you!!!”The woman walked closer and stopped in front of me. Tristan held my hand and stood in front of me shielding me from the woman.“You have made the biggest mistake of your life; you have failed to protect what should be protected, and if you don't change it, you will lose her, and she will die!!! She will die!!!” The woman yelled in Tristan's face.“A Mother shielded her children, but one child has made the other child her enemy, and she

  • Aurora, The Lycan King's Mute Mate   Chapter 110

Aurora's POV I turned to look at her. I couldn't believe we just met after a long time, and this is what she had to say, “What?” I was too stunned to speak, but come to think of it, what was she plotting?I wanted to believe it was a harmless joke, but Indigo isn't one to joke, especially since she hates me.“Bye,” Indigo winked at me, but before I could say anything to her, she walked away.I wanted to ignore the nonsense she said, but for some reason, I couldn't. Indigo was capable of a lot of things; it was hard, but I managed to ignore the negative words.“What is the matter, my Lady?” Elena said when I entered my room and I furrowed my eyebrows, “You are sulking.”“Ahh,” I sighed, there was no need to raise concern, “It's nothing.”“My Lady, Queen Diana has asked you to read the letter that there was something important she found out and you need to know about it,” Elena delivered Diana's message.“Oh, okay, I will read it,” I opened the drawer I had placed it in and brought it
