Memories To Now.

Stars Pov- The present.

Tomorrow is my 15th Birthday, I wanted to be excited. But I never had any good memories about my birthday.

The Alphas son Cain shared the same birthday as me. We were born the same cold winter night. My birthday is December 10th 2008 to be exact.

Cain always had lavish parties gathered by loved ones. Receiving gifts and praise from the whole pack.

Frowning, I looked down thinking of what it would have been like with my own family if they were still alive.

No one here celebrated my birthday though. I was pretty much worthless to everyone in this pack.

I slowly got up from my bed looking over at the clock, it was 5am. I sighed sitting up stretching out my muscles.

I had to wake up before all of the other pack members to begin making breakfast and begin my other duties. If I didn’t I would be severely punished.

I stood up from my bed throwing on my clothes and a light jacket. It was freezing in my little room.

I slipped out of my room making my way down to the kitchen to begin breakfast for the pack.

My name is Star Whitlock, I live in the Blazing moon pack. My pack is located somewhere in North Carolina.

Our pack was far into the forest away from the humans.

The closest town 2 hours away was rather small so we were never concerned about the humans there.

We never went into the little town because our pack has everything we need here.

I began pulling out all of the ingredients from the walk in pantry to make pancakes.

Walking over to the fridge i pulled out some strawberries so I could begin cutting them up.

Making my way over to the kitchen island I began making the pancake mix and cutting up the strawberries.

Most smaller packs couldn’t afford to take care of everyone so the alphas had to find other ways to help out financially.

Alpha Wade owned some casinos that helped out our pack considerably.

Our pack has a decent amount of wolves. Although I had heard rumors from the other omegas some had gone missing.

I placed all of the cut up strawberries into a bowl and walking over to the fridge pulling out the home made whip cream I had made myself.

I was going to make strawberries and cream pancakes. They were Alpha Wades favorite. I wanted him to be happy today so I wouldn't be beaten before my birthday.

We have everything a normal human town would. Shops, post office, hospital, a couple of schools and the town movie theater.

I always dreamed of going to the movie theater.

The Luna never allowed me to because she said I had more important things to do than waste my time on movies.

It was nothing truly important she just wanted the omegas to clean and cook non stop. Even if we were done she would have Cain purposely make messes.

I remember sneaking out one day with my best friend Willow watching beauty and the beast at the town movie theater.

I loved that belle enjoyed literature and was intelligent. She found love even in the beast of a man. It was a beautiful fairy tail.

The pack streets are lined with small houses for families in the pack Some omegas stayed in the pack house to help clean and cook.

Alpha Wade also made the unmated pack members live in the pack house until they found their mates.

Our pack house was A large 4 story home. It had 20 bedrooms , a game room, large dining hall for all of the pack members to eat at and below the pack house was a small prison with cells for rule breakers.

Unfortunately for us, the Alphas casinos haven't been doing well. I heard other omegas speak quietly about our pack becoming unstable.

Apparently Alpha Wade had been borrowing money from other sketchy Alphas and gambling every thing away.

Noticing the time I quickly finished cooking all of the other food gathering trays to be put out into the dining hall buffet style.

Finishing up quickly I made my way back into the kitchen to begin cleaning up.

Other omegas slowly started trickleing in to the kitchen to start lunch prep and other duties.

I popped a few left over strawberries into my mouth before anyone noticed. I left the kitchen to begin cleaning the rooms.

Alpha Wade has always borrowed money and stole from other packs. It wasn’t a huge secret over time but I didn’t understand how the council hadn’t caught on to him yet.

Not only was he a thief of an alpha, but he also severely abused pack members.

The council was made up of 3 members. Last Ramona, councilman Jasper and councilman William.

They were some of the oldest members in the werewolf community; they were said to have some of their own special abilities from the moon goddess herself.

Rumors said Lady Ramona was able to read others minds. While councilman Jasper had small healing abilities.

Councilman Williams powers scared me the most, he was supposedly able to make you feel like your body was on fire from the inside out with just a look.

The council is there to enforce laws and make sure everything runs smoothly for packs when the werewolf King and Queen could not step in.

Alpha Wade and Luna Athena took me in when I was a baby.

Luna Athena told me my parents were out walking the pack borders gathering wood for the winter when rogues had attacked and killed them.

I was found nearby in bushes. I belive my mother tried to save me from the rouges. Some of the pack warriors found me and brought me to the Alpha and Luna.

Rogues are wolves that no longer have a pack or they broke pack laws and got banished.

They smell horrible like garbage and look sickly, the longer they are without a pack the more there wolf side takes over becoming feral.

Since my parents were omegas that made me one.

an omega is basically at the bottom of the totem pole.

We are just seen as maids, meant to cook and clean for the pack house.

But honestly I always got treated worse than an omega. I don't know why, or what I did but the Alpha and Luna started really punishing me when I turned 5.

Flashback of Stars Childhood

(WARNING OF CHILD ABUSE)

I woke up late missing dinner, it was still dark out and I was hungry.

I wasn't allowed to eat with the other pack members, and I couldn't eat until everyone else had.

I wasn't even allowed to sit at the tables either as other pack members would get into trouble for even talking to me. I had to go to my “bedroom” and eat, if that's what you wanna call it.

They said I would take up too much room being there so they made me sleep in a storage closet with a little cot. I didn't think I took up much room, I was only 5!

But that night I was really hungry. I remembered one of the omegas had made extra chocolate chip cookies so I snuck from my room and went down into the kitchen.

I had used a small ladder climbing up onto the counter and grabbed two cookies, one for now and the other for later.

As I was about to climb down from the counter I heard the light flick on and a furious growl.

I quickly tried to hide them, but it was too late.

Alpha wade walked towards me and yanked the cookies out of my hands and accused me of being a “filthy thief”.

He yanked me up by my arm and started dragging me out of the kitchen.

I didn't know where he was bringing me but he started to hurt my arm from squeezing so hard so I began crying.

begged Alpha Wade to let me go. He only laughed and said I would get my punishment first then he would let me go.

I was really scared so I began yanking my arm away as hard as I could.

Alpha Wade threw me to the ground, grabbing a fist full of my hair.

He began dragging me down the stairs towards the cells.

At that point I started seeing spots in my vision from the pain it caused. I was yelling and screaming so hard my throat felt raw.

How could he be so cruel to treat someone so little like this I thought.

Alpha Wade opened a cell door and threw me onto the cold dirty ground.

He began to walk away so I believed he was done but then I heard footsteps coming back towards me and the cell door opend again.

Alpha wade had silver chains dangling from his hand.

I started backing up into the wall petrified.

I knew I couldn't run so I backed myself up into the wall making myself as small as I could.

“This is what happens to thieves when they steal from me”.

I peaked up watching him come closer, smirking at me before raising the chains above me and began whipping me with them over and over.

I ended up passing out from the excruciating pain. I remember feeling like I was dead.

But after a few days I woke up in the pack hospital.

One of the warriors had brought me there.

They had gotten into a lot of trouble for bringing me to the pack hospital.

The Alpha said I wasn't worth spending his money on my medical bills.

After that I tried my best to avoid him and not steal anymore food.

Luna Athena and Alpha wade would harm me for even the simplest things, so I’ve learned to try and keep my head down.
