CHAPTER TEN

Olivia stumped her foots as she walked about her Father's office with pouted lips. She was obviously displeased.

"You're gonna have to use your words, darling," Alpha Noah focused his attention on his little princess.

"Dad, he embarrassed me" She cried.

"Who embarrassed you?" Alpha Elijah questioned in shock. Who had the guts to embarrass his baby?

"Zephyr," She divulged.

"What happened?" Alpha Elijah calmly asked.

"He flung my arms away when I tried to touch him and called a filthy guard to throw me out of his office" she cried out.

"What did you do?" Her father asked. He knew Zephyr was a calm man so his daughter must have done something because most at times, she acted without thinking.

"I didn't do anything" She whined. "I did exactly as you said and only tried to make him like me"

"It's okay, sweetie. Calm down" He tried to cajole her.

"No, daddy I won't. I want him" She cried but this time, more louder.

"Your wish is my command, dear. Now will you calm down?"

"You sure? Is he really gonna be mine?" She asked, her eyes round with excitement.

"Yes, dear." He said and handed over his card to her "go and buy some things for yourself. Don't forget to get a massage, okay?"

She took the card and giggled excitedly. "I love you so much, daddy. You're the best," and gave him a big kiss on the cheek.

Alpha Elijah smiled. His daughter was just so spoiled and he didn't mind spoiling her more. She was so obsessed with shopping and that was the only way to please her. Olivia looked exactly like her late mother, his Luna that was why his love for her was overwhelming.

His wife, Priscilla died when giving birth to Olivia and that hurt him so much. He was devastated but what kept him going was his daughter, Olivia.

As for Zephyr, he need to think of a way to convince him to get married to his daughter and then, he would have control of Zephyr's pack.

Meanwhile at the pack of the rogues;

"You're back." Nimue gasped as Bellona walked into the room where she and Antonio sat, catching up.

Bellona ignored her, took a bottle of water in the fridge and downed it almost immediately. She was tired.

Bellona spent most of her time in Antonio's place than she spent in her house. Her house was cold and lifeless like her. It wasn't a home.

"How did it go?" Antonio asked softly. From his voice, one could tell that he was deeply worried about her and he didn't want her to continue with this mission but there was nothing he could do to stop her.

"It went well" Bellona said after she had gotten herself a little. "I was hired."

"That's wonderful!" Nimue chimed in happily. She sounded so excited, it was strange. Bellona looked at her questioningly and she laughed nervously, "I'm excited that you'll be getting revenge soon"

"Did you see him?" Antonio asked, diverting Bellona's attention from Nimue.

Yes she saw him. She finally laid her eyes on the person she detested the most and she couldn't do anything because she was following a stupid plan. How hopeless!

"I did" Bellona muttered.

"Are you okay?" He asked, his eyes held so many emotions.

"Of course I'm fine" She lied. She wasn't fine even in the slightest bit. She was angry at herself for not doing anything when she saw Zephyr and her cheeks also hurt from smiling all day.

"You know you don't have to-"

"You can't stop me no matter how hard you try so just give up already" Bellona interrupted him. She knew he was going to try to stop her yet again. He was just too caring and sometimes, she wondered how he was the leader of the rogues with such soft heart he had. He always put everyone first before himself.

"Alright. Alright" He raised his hands in defect.

"When will you start?" Antonio asked her again.

"On Monday. Hopefully," she said, making Antonio stare at her.

This girl was really determined.

"That's enough" Nimue croaked. If she didn't speak up, these two were just going to keep talking and ignore her presence.

"What's the matter?" Antonio turned to her.

"I have something for her" Nimue said, her whole attention on Bellona.

"What do you want?" Bellona asked sharply. She didn't know why she couldn't bring herself to like this old lady. No matter how hard she tried. There was something about her that she couldn't place her finger on.

"Don't snap at me, I'm not Zephyr" She chuckled. "I just want to give you something"

"And what is that?" Bellona asked.

"A teacher"

"A teacher?" Bellona repeated just to be sure she heard clearly.

"Yes, a teacher" Nimue affirmed.

"What do I need a teacher for?" She glanced at Antonio and his reaction told her he knew nothing about what was going on.

If she needed a teacher, it'd be Antonio and not some random person Nimue had chosen. In fact, what exactly did she need a teacher for?

"For your manners." Nimue articulated.

"My manners?" Bellona's eyes widened in shock. "What's wrong with my manners?"

"It's terrible" Nimue deadpanned.

"What!" She gasped, eyes wide in shock. She turned to Antonio and questioned, "do I have bad manners?" but he avoided her eyes.

Bellona sighed deeply. This guy was really something else.

"I'll answer for him" Nimue chimed in, "not only that you don't care for people's feelings, you're also very rude and blunt."

"Well, excuse me for expressing truthfully myself" She started sarcastically "Apart from being rude, which I doubt I am, I see no wrong in not letting people and their feelings bother you. I mean, you live for yourself alone."

Although Bellona was beautiful, smart and hardworking, she was also rude. She talked to anyone the way she wanted regardless of their age and that was a problem now.

Not like they hadn't taken notice of it before but they couldn't care less. But now that she was going to be working for Zephyr, she needed to learn to bridle her tongue else it wouldn't take her a day to get fired.

"That's not what she meant" Antonio tried to calm her down.

"Then what did she mean?" Bellona questioned sharply.

"She meant that since you'll be working for Zephyr now, you need to learn how to tolerate his excesses else you'll blow your cover." He patted her hands lovingly, "It is no secret that he'll try to provoke you so you need to endure whatever he'll throw at you inorder for you to achieve your goals."

"Exactly what I meant" Nimue said. "It's no secret that his secretaries doesn't last more than a week as some of them quit because of his character. A week wouldn't be enough to achieve your aim so that's why you need to learn."

"Alright" Bellona let out a deep sigh. They were right. All this was tiring. Most times, she feels ike giving up but whenever she remembers the gore sight of her parents lifeless body, her hatred for him doubles.

"Come on in" Nimue spoke with a croaked voice and almost immediately, a young lady walked in. It was as though she was standing by the door waiting to be called upon.

"And you are?" Antonio asked before Nimue could even speak up.

"I'm Jane" She smiled happily.

"Who is she and what is she doing here?" Antonio muttered to Nimue.

"She'll be Bellona's teacher from today. Let's leave them to get acquainted with each other" Nimue stood and beconed on Antonio who mirrored her action and they both strolled out of the room.

Jane smiled widely and introduced herself. Bellona in turn didn't spare her a glance. She found the girl to be creepy because why the hell does she always smile like that.

"What's your name?" Jane asked Bellona with hopes of getting along with her. Bellona in response rose from her seat and simply walked out.

As soon as Bellona stepped out, Jane's smile fell and was replaced by an evil smirk.

"This is just the beginning" She muttered.
