Chapter Twenty-Two

“Oh you look good!”

Alex let out a nervous chuckle as he walked towards his empty seat on the dining. It was a normal morning with his aunt and cousin already seated while he joined.

“What?” even his words sounded nervous as he dropped his backpack next to him. “Oh, do i?”

“Mhm mhm,” his aunt reconfirmed her words. “Are you headed somewhere after college today?”

“Eh? No, I’m not.” His eyes fell to his lap as he replied her. He was putting on white trousers he had never worn ever since he got them paired with a striped hoodie like shirt. He had bright white sneakers, matching his trousers and complimenting his outfit. “Just college.”

“Oh really?” his aunt stylishly checked him out. “Too bad then. You look all perfectly dressed up for a date.”

“NO IT’S NOT A DATE!”

“Okay cousin,” it was Lucas’ turn to speak and he did that with laughter accompanying his words. “We believe you aren’t going on a date after school. You don’t have to get all worked up.”
