Chapter 60

Marinel's POV

EARLY in the morning, I happened to wake up early before my alarm clock in my phone started to ring. I moaned and stretched my arms. I yawned and checked my phone. Lorna sent me the schedule for today's check up with my patients.

I glanced at Caldwill who's still sleeping peacefully. I smiled. My heart flutters whenever I think this is the start of our happy family.

I leaned closer to give Caldwill a good morning kiss then climbed out of the bed, heading to the bathroom to clean myself. After that I dressed up, since some of my clothes are still in his closet and that made me smile. Because I really thought he threw them away when he sent me off out of his life.

When I got out, Caldwill's finally awake. He's leaning on the headboard of the bed while crossing his arms. His brows furrowed.

“Where are you going?” he asked, checking me out from head to toe.

I adjusted the hem of my dress.

“Work. I need to be there at the clinic today,” I answered casually while
