Carolina's P.O.V

I arrived at The Blues Clubhouse, and many of the guests, passersby, and staff working in this big, luxury clubhouse who passed me on the way looked at me like I had missed my way to the luxury club.

"Hey! Where are you going to?" a tough-looking security man stopped me before I could enter the entrance of this opulent club.

"I am here to see a friend of mine—Lucy Campbell," I said, and the security man eyed me suspiciously.

"There's no one with that name here. Call her, or you wait outside until you see her!" he barked at me, making me jump back in fright.

However, I collided with someone behind me, and a deep baritone voice mumbled behind me, "Hey! Easy, miss! Watch your step!" He caught me by my waist even before I could fall to the ground, after stepping on his feet and losing my balance.

His firm arms encircled my waist, and it seemed like time stopped as we gazed into each other's eyes.

"Hey, are you all right?" he asked me as he finally steadied me back on my feet.

I was lost for words a moment, as I hadn't seen a handsome man like him before. He looked like a model who was printed on a magazine front page.

"Yeah… I'm… fine," I spluttered, seeing his handsome, brown-skinned face. He was tall, muscular, and attractive. His rich perfume scent made my tummy flutter with butterflies.

My cheeks flushed in embarrassment, as I wasn't expecting a handsome man like him to be the one catching me after the security man had given me a scare.

"That's fine," he said and looked at my dress. I saw his brows furrow at first before he said, "Come with me."

"Me?" I asked him in surprise as he stepped aside. "Yeah," he replied. "I just want to have a conversation with you. What do you come here to do? You seem out of place."

I lowered my head, knowing that he was only asking as a good person. However, before I could open my mouth and say something to him, my phone rang, and the loud ringtone resonated in the air. It broke the awkwardness between me and this handsome stranger.

"Excuse me, sir. My friend is calling me," I told him before I excused myself away from him and walked away a bit to answer my call.

"Hello, Lucy," I said, glancing behind my back to see if the handsome stranger was still standing there. But he had gone away. I felt sad that I didn't get to discuss with him. Maybe he had seen who he came to spend time with at the club.

"Hey, Carolina. Where are you? I just came out now, and I cannot seem to find you. Do you know what time it is?" I heard Lucy shouting into the call, and I laughed to ease my disappointed heart.

"Yeah, I know. It's 8:30 p.m. I am outside the club, and the security men refused to let me in," I told her, and she said, "Come over now. My boss is waiting to see you."

"All right." I rushed to the front of the club, and this time, Lucy was standing there elegantly like a queen. She tapped her feet on the ground as she saw me hurrying over to meet her.

"Where did you go to? I almost thought you weren't coming," Lucy voiced her complaint as she frowned. She was wearing a red bodycon dress that perfectly revealed her slim figure, but she had big bréasts like me.

"This security man refused to let me in, and he said that no one is bearing Lucy in their club," I whispered into Lucy's ear, and she laughed.

"Yeah. You do not expect me to use my real identity in this club. We use fake names, and that's what you are going to do," she told me before dragging me into the club. This time, I wasn't stopped by the security man, who looked at me with a narrowed gaze.

The loud sound of music filled the air of the magnificent clubhouse as Lucy and I walked in. This was my first time in a club, and I felt so anxious.

"Walk fast," Lucy said as she led me inside, taking a turn. We met her boss, who was speaking to a man and his companion, a beautiful well dressed woman.

"Excuse me, Mr. Karen," Lucy said, snapping her boss's attention back to her.

"Yeah, Agnes. How can I help you?" The boss asked her, walking away from the man and woman he was discussing with.

Lucy excitedly introduced me to her boss. "Sir, this is my best friend that I spoke to you about, Joy Edmond. She is in need of a job as a server here."

Karen looked at me from head to toe and frowned. "Have you worked in a club before?"

"No, sir," I replied, nervously.

"Well, do you know what your job entails? You will have to entertain my clients and not just serve them drinks. If you like, you can hook up with them, but remember to use protection," he lectured me, and my cheeks flushed.

"Um, I can interact with the clients, but I cannot sleep with anyone, sir," I cleared the air, and Karen frowned. However, Lucy pinched my arm and quickly chimed in. "Mr. Karen, you do not have to worry. I will lecture Joy well, and she will do just fine."

Karen looked from me to Lucy and shrugged. "I am counting on you, Agnes. And get your friend to change these rags that she is wearing. I do not want her to scare my clients away."

"Okay, sir," Lucy said, and she quickly dragged me away to the elevator.

"Where are you taking me to?" I asked Lucy, and she laughed.

"To the boutique. Don't you know that The Blues Club has a private boutique for their female clients to change into on the second floor? And if anyone gets any of their old clothes dirty or torn, or you spend a night here in this club," Lucy said, and I looked at her face in surprise.

"Seriously?" I asked her, and she smiled as we entered the elevator together.

"Yeah."

**CAROLINA'S POV**"Carolina, I know that you can fool Mom and Dad, but you cannot fool me. Why do you seem so uncomfortable when Dad was speaking about the Morgan Group's CEO, and why are your cheeks so flushed?" Violet asked me once I stepped into the room to sleep for the night."Violet, I do not want to talk about the CEO, please…" I begged my sister as I walked towards the bed to join Cassie in sleeping."Lies! Why do I feel like this Bright Morgan is the same man that you slept with? There's no way you would be acting like this if he wasn't your one-night stand. Let me research him," Violet said, fishing out her phone. She searched for Bright Morgan online."Oh my goodness! Carolina, Bright is so hot!" Violet gasped, and Cassie and I rushed over to her phone to take a look and see who she was gushing about."Is he the one?" Violet asked me, showing me her phone screen.I was taken aback by how easily she researched Bright and found his real profile page."Yeah. He's the one," I

**CAROLINA'S POV**"Sister, do you see that black Jeep that is parked outside our house? Wow!" My younger sister, Violet, asked as she walked into the kitchen to meet me and Mom. However, Mom and I remained silent, as we didn't gush over the Jeep Violet was admiring."Good evening, Mom. Sister, what's wrong? Didn't you all see the Jeep? It's parked outside," Violet said as she entered the kitchen through the back door."So what should we do if the Jeep is beautiful? The lady who parked that Jeep insulted Carolina today and accused your sister of sleeping with her man," Mom said, anger evident in her voice. Violet gasped, "What? Carolina, you slept with her boyfriend?"I looked away from Violet's face, as I didn't have an explanation to give her."Violet, Carolina explained to me that the man said he was single. I assume that is why that lady is here to live with Salma. You should keep your distance from Salma, since that arrogant woman is her friend," Mom cautioned my sister, as she w

Nini's POV:"If I had known, I wouldn't have broken up with Bright. I wouldn't have told him it was over," I said, crying against my best friend's embrace."Nini, if you continue crying like this, you will fall sick. Just calm down alright. And if you still love Bright, you can go and see him and plead with him," Salma encouraged me, but I knew Bright. Once he made up his mind, there was no going back."It's fine. I will be fine. Where can I sleep? I stopped by a boutique and shopped for some dresses since I won't be able to face my parents. The doctors warned me not to get stressed, so I do not lose my baby," I said, and Salma smiled with understanding."Come and stay in my room. Your parents will forgive you when they calm down.
