Back from Prison to Destroy My Billionaire Ex

Eva's POVClank! The warden's baton hit my cell. I looked up, expecting another taunt or to be dragged out and whipped for rules I never disobeyed. Instead, she said, “You have a visitor.” I stepped out of the cell in my tattered prison uniform that clinged to my lean frame. My hair fell messily over my face as I followed the warden to the visiting area, wondering who the visitor was.Except for my best friend Dana and my brother, Caleb, no one else has visited in the past three years. Of course no one else could visit, I was an orphan and the man I loved put me in here.I stopped upon seeing the handsome man in front of me. He was oddly familiar yet I couldn't place where I'd seen him.A strand of his jet black hair hung above his brows, casting a casual and composed aura around him. His piercing green eyes met my blue ones at once.“You need to sit, Eva.” He spoke, his voice reverberating in the cold room.“Who are you?”He tilted his head lazily and said, “There's only one way t

Eva's POV After seeing the Constable with me, Bianca and her girls dared not lay hands on me. The humiliation on Bianca's face was a great satisfaction for me. I turned and walked away triumphantly, the bag in my hands. If it were before, the warden would have scolded me for coming late but she did not say anything and simply took me a hotel room to spend the night.“A car would pick you up tomorrow morning.” She said once I'd been lodged.I nodded and stepped into my bliss. After three years of torture and poor living, I find myself in the luxuries of a comfortable hotel room.A phone was placed on the bed. After a thorough shower, I took dinner and turned on the phone. The first thing I saw was the picture of my Caleb and Dana rescued. They were on a dinner table, having dinner. The bandage on Caleb's head showed that they'd already been taken care of.I couldn't be more grateful to Enzo. He had to be my guardian angel.A text message followed, “Get ready by nine tomorrow. I'll pi

Eva's POV It is the day of Damien and Maya’s engagement.I spent half the day at the spa. My best friend, Dana accompanied me.While I got my body tended to, I saw Dana's reflection through the mirror. She appeared to be deep in her thoughts.“Dana?”She turned to me abruptly.“Hey, you done?” She walked up to me, asking.“Not yet. After now, we'll have to check out outfits for tonight's party.” I answered and noticed that she had lapsed into deep thoughts again. The spa attendant left me in the tub to soak up the honey and milk.“Dana, are you okay? I noticed you haven't quite been yourself.”She sighed heavily and spoke in a rush, “Eva, do you really think you can trust this Enzo? I mean, we don't even know him.”“It's too late to be having thoughts now, Dana. I'm married to him and it's just for the purpose of the revenge.” I assured her.“I still think it's not all worth it.” She continued, “We don't even know if this is some kind of trap. I've never heard of the name Enzo Hartle

Eva's POV“The cops are on their way.” Margaret added. “I have called them to pick up this thief who escaped from jail!”I stared at Enzo. Is this why he wanted me to change my features? I bit my lips.Maya came and pushed me, breaking Damien's grip on me. Enzo rushed to my side, preventing me from falling.Damien reached out but was stopped by Maya whose face had turned beet red.“I know why you're here.” Maya smirked. “After hearing of my engagement to Damien, you thought escaping jail for a while and showing your face to him will save you.”She scoffed. “You're wrong, Eva, because you're going right back to that cell where you belong!”Just then, sirens could be heard from a distance. Soon, the police trooped in.Damien stopped them. “You can't take her.”“Move away, Damien and let the police do their job.” Margaret said in a stern voice.Maya was the perfect definition of anger. She grabbed Damien's arm. “What are you doing? This woman tried to destroy everything you and mom worke

Enzo's POVDancing with Eva and holding her so close felt like a dream come true. I was grateful I found her just when that scumbag abandoned her.We used to be childhood sweethearts, just before she had an accident and lost her memory. I never got to see her again until I came to New York.I twirled her round and lowered her with my hand supporting her bare back while steadying her with my hand around her thigh. My moves, my grip, my soft gaze was all to infuriate the one person standing at a distance watching us.It was just how I felt when, after many years of searching for her, I found her married to him with no memories of me.I'd left, enraged and only returned to strike at the right time. She might have lost her memories of those years but I don't intend to let her go again. As the music slowly came to an end, I caught the frustrated look on Damien's face from the corner of my eyes.He took everything away from me. My mother. My chance of having a perfect family. And even the o
