Change Of Mood

Looking at the gloomy expression on Elijah's face, dread settled in Elaine's chest. She tightly held on to the seat belt, not having a positive feeling about the situation.

"Where are we going?" she asked, not being as unsuspecting as before. Elijah now gave her no sense of security.

"Keep quiet," he coldly stated.

Those golden eyes of his didn't hide the turbulent emotions inside him. As his hands tightly held on to the steering wheel, veins popped out.

Elaine's heart beat rapidly in her chest.

She questioned, "are you going to hurt me?"

Before Elaine could question him further out of growing anxiety inside her, she noticed two large trucks following them. Elijah did so as well, and his brows were furrowed.
