Chapter 13. Picking up Fay Willmer

It was still raining heavily almost an hour later.

Fay across the street still hadn’t moved from her position.

The man in the car started the engine, steered it across, and stopped right in front of Fay.

The girl was initially indifferent to her surroundings. Not even the driver who got out of the car and hurriedly walked towards Fay to avoid the rain.
