Chapter 57 - Sarael
My heart had lodged itself in my throat from the moment Azriel walked into my shop. He’s supposed to be guarding me discreetly. He and his brother were chosen because they can make themselves invisible to ensure no one knows they are watching me. So for him to walk in, something must have happened. Am I in danger? That was the first thing I thought of.

I had borrowed a jeep used by the pack rather than taking my SUV into the forest to camp. As much as I’m sure it could handle the terrain, I don't want to get my SUV dirty when I can use one of the jeeps specifically for this. We take pups camping usually every full moon even though they are too young for their wolves. We want them to know our territory and learn how to navigate and survive it even without their wolf. It was exhilarating riding on Irving’s back. And unlike last time, we aren’t rushing off to danger. This time there is no one trying to kill anyone. It’s just us out here in nature. It’s been a long time since I’ve been camping. I can at least be sure this camping trip will be more memorable than my camping during college.
