“It’s cold. Why didn’t you dress warmly?”
I looked back and saw Thore. I was on my way to work but my line leader phoned me not to come since they don’t need a lot of workers tonight. The rushed work will be done by eight so the day shift has to finish.
The delivery of the other garments will arrive by two in the morning. That means the night shift can start working at four.
I smiled at Thore. “Hey! Why are you out here?”
Thore approached me. I was surprised he took off his scarf and put it on me.
“There.” He said as he fixed the scarf. I could only whisper my thanks to him. “Well, I should be asking you the same question. Why were you out here? It’s cold outside.”
I looked around. “I was about to buy something.”
