Valarie's Pov *

I looked at the man in front of me" a warm smile rested at the corner of my lips" what more can a girl ask for" he was smart, handsome, loving and most importantly he was mine"

My heart pounded hard against my chest as he held my hand leading me to the dance floor" I became speechless as he got down on one knee" asking me to marry him

Everyone present at the Ballroom turned to look at us' we became the centre of attention" surprised I turned and looked at my parents who stood in front of the crowd" they looked so happy' as if they already knew"

I turned and looked at Mason feeling like the happiest woman alive" and without hesitation I said yes' stretching my finger forward and he slipped the ring on it" the crowd cheered for us and we kiss deeply" it felt like I was in a fairytale' and I didn't want it to end

For the rest of the evening we danced never tiring" when it was almost midnight he offered to drop me back home" my parents trusting him agreed"

He opened the car door for me and I got inside" normally he would let his chauffeur drive but tonight he wanted us to be alone" I watched him with a smile as he settled on the driver's seat" although we have been together for three years now I hadn't really expected him to propose" it felt like everything was happening too fast' but who was I to complain" I was in love

We drove in silence" I kept stealing glances at him unable to believe we were officially engaged" I could finally call him my fiance

Did I tell you how beautiful that ring looks on your finger" I can't wait to make you Mrs Lawrence he said holding my hand" I blushed feeling his warmth

Mason" I called softly looking at him

Umh" he responded his hand still on the steering wheel

I love you I said blushing out of this world"

Forever" he said caressing my cheek with his hand" we were about to kiss when red lights blinded us" I closed my eyes scared to death " somehow Mason managed to avoid a car accident that would have been catastrophic

It's okay you can open your eyes now" he said holding my hand" I was so scared I said squeezing the life out of hand" he chuckled playfully shifting close to me

Don't do that I said with a frown feeling uneasy at how we had almost died

Don't do what he said playfully his eyes still on me"

I'm serious Mason don't play around' you saw what just happened, focus on driving" I warned with a frown on my face before turning my head to look outside the window" there was a thunderstorm and it was raining heavily' I could barely see anything as the glass was foggy

I felt my stomach twist as I sat in silence" I sighted shutting my eyes feeling a strange heavyness inside my heart" a part of me feeling as if something bad was about to happen" I couldn't point it out what it was but I knew it was bad" my gut feeling was telling me and it was never wrong

Valarie Love'  you look cute when you're angry" he said playfully brushing my thigh

And just like that"

Time slowed down like it had been frozen" my heart jumped out of my chest" at the sound of screeching tires and flickering flashlights" the car rolled out of control

Horrific screams left our lungs as the car crashed in to a truck" my seatbelt snapped sending me out of the car by window screen

Miraculously I survived but my body hurt like hell" another horrific scream left my lungs as I felt a cold glass through my stomach that had pierced through my organs

I cried in pain as I layed on the side of the road' drowning in my own pool of blood" I lifted my hand and touched my stomach" I cried feeling how bad it was" I layed my head down shutting my eyes' unable to gather the courage to look at the wound"

The pain was too much" I wanted to end it all by letting go but something in me wouldn't allow me to stop breathing" maybe it was because I still had a lot to live for" my fiance, family,  friends the were waiting for me" I couldn't die!! my life had just began

With every second that passed by with me laying on the ground I began to lose hope" my breathing became shallow it made it hard for me to keep my eyes open" it felt as if I was breathing my last today" with a blurry vision and tearly eyes I prayed under the heavy rain

After hours of fighting with myself my body finally gave in and I lost consciousness"
