Someone had ratted our plans out to Michael. Even with Georgette in lockup and Bert dead, Michael found out about our plans to attack and stationed his army outside his perimeter to meet us, which meant that he had more people working for him in our pack.

I hated the fact that we didn't have a clue about who it could be, but it wasn't the time to ponder over that. We had arrived to fight, and this time I was determined to end this for good.

"So the Crimson Crescent has a new leader," he smirked, as though he was jeering at us. "It was a pity that Peter was killed by his own beta."

I glared at him. Of course, he would try to taunt us. Bert had worked for him after all. He must have found great pleasure in watching us trust our greatest betrayer the entire time.

I sneered. I knew that he was just trying to get on our nerves. “There are more traitors in our pack. Apparently, someone has informed you about our arrival.”
