56: Real Home

“It is a good thing that my granddaughter found you instead of others outside that is no good.”

Margo and Plian agreed to what the old Deguzman said. “You raised your little girl well,” said Margo with a little smile plastering on her lip, They just started to eat with the two of them and they can’t lie, the old man is nice but creepy at the same time because of its creepy side.

Liah looked at the two and motioned them to continue eating, reminding them to act normal instead of feeling awkward. And they did. Liah has a plan and she knew she would succeed, with the help of Margo and Plian.

“So, do you mind introducing yourself?” the old man raised his left eyebrow. It is a good thing that he does not know all the Ramirez member, especially Margo.

“Uh, I am Margo,” she said, not mentioning his last name because he just has a prisoner under with the same last name of her. The old man might know that they are siblings and they are here to rescue them.

The old man was about to ask Plian when he stopped as he felt around him twirling. It was like the world has just spins and when he realized that what he is drinking in the soup has a poison, he looked at Liah who smiled at him apologetically.

“I’m sorry, grandfather. I have to do this,” Liah said before the man lost his consciousness. That is when they all stood up. Margo helped Liah to get him up and get the key first from his pocket. They all went to the underground with the old man, locking him up to another door so he could not stop them when he wakes up while getting Talia and Kiel off the room where they are locked.

They then headed to the room where they are locked up. As soon as Talia and Kiel heard the door opening, they did not care because they expect it to be the old man but to their surprise, they saw Margo, Plian and Liah.

“Talia! Kiel!” Margo automatically smiled when she saw them. She then jumped over them to have a hug. They all chuckled while Plian felt relief when she saw that Talia is already fine and safe, good thing she saw no bruises and any hint of wounds in her body because if they had, Vionna will get mad and get Talia off the place where she loved to live.

“Hi,” Talia greeted Plian. She then embraced her while the chain was still in her pulse. As soon as they recovered, Liah unlock the chains and once their hands were freed, they hissed because they saw it red and blood almost sipped out.

“Where is he?” Talia asked in curiosity and caress her pulse. She was referring to the old man.

“I locked him up,” said Liah. Talia and Kiel was a bit surprise because of that but they did not bother asking anymore. Liah then told them that they should go now before her grandfather would wake up.

“Do not you like going with us?” Talia looked at Liah while they were getting off the underground rooms. Liah was shocked for a moment because of that offer but she immediately shakes her head to refuse.

"I can not leave my grandfather here,” she said.

“He will be mad at you because you helped them out,” Margo said. “Go with us, Liah. I know you want to have a view around the world, we can give that to you.”

Liah’s lips parted in amazement before she gasped. “I… I can’t.”

“He will hurt you for sure,” Plian added, looking at her with pity written in her eyes.

“I will take it,” she said. “I will face the consequences. I did not regret helping them out because they did not deserve what he did. I will take care of my grandfather. Do not worry about me. For now, you can already go before he yells at us.”

They looked at one another and since Liah already made up her mind, they have no choice but to left her there. They thanked her first.

“I owe you my life,” Talia whispered to her and caressed her back. “We will come back for you, Liah. We will save you just like what you did to us.”

The girl just smiled and watched them leave. As soon as they disappeared out of her sight, she heaved a sigh and bit her lower lip. Now she has to wake up her grandfather and face his anger. She will take the consequences of what she did that she knew is good. It was just that her grandfather is also off the line.

“We did not expect you to save us,” said Kiel as they settle themselves in the backseat of the car. Talia was on her side while Margo and Plian in front.

“Plian knew where you are into,” Margo said with a beam plastering on her face and glanced at the old woman that seemed on focusing to think of something that she did not hear their conversation.

“How though?” Talia asked while yawning. Kiel then made her lean on his shoulder so she could have a rest.

“She knew you love nature so once she saw that garden, she knew you went there,” Margo answered and started the engine. They already took off and left the place.

In the entire drive, Talia and Kiel rest. Talia was leaning her head on his shoulders while sleeping while Kiel was just taking a nap and is checking at her anytime.

“Can I ask, Kiel?” Plian uttered and asked which they did not expect. Kiel looked at her while Magro widened her ears to hear their voices.

“What is it?” he creased his brows and held Talia’s hand.

“Is she pregnant?”

Kiel blinked while Margo almost stopped the car. Good thing she was able to control and keep herself calm in the midst of horror. She can not believe what Plian asked. Like is Talia really pregnant? Then that would be great for her brother will be having a kid, and her having a niece.

Kiel gulped and stared at Talia. Then, he nodded his head. “Yes, she is.”

Margo was more surprised when he confirmed it. She smiled from ear to ear while Plian seemed like was not happy to what she heard. “Her family will kill you,” Plian said frankly, making Kiel to feel nervous.

“We were about to keep it a secret but why? We are happy and we both can raise our child,” he said and gripped on Talia’s hand, not to mention that Talia is waking up because of Kiel’s hand on her.

“Her family is not yet ready,” Plian uttered, disappointed. “They have plans for her and that child will just ruin it –“

“How?” They were surprised when they heard Talia’s, she is already wide awake. “If that is what they think, I will leave the Zanea.”

Plian pursed her lips and looked at her. “They will not let you leave again, Talia.”

“Then they should be happy like we were when we knew I am pregnant,” Talia said, almost an exclamation. “I can not stay in a family where I am not accepted, Plian.”

The old woman was not able to add a word because it is evident that Talia is hurting. The last minutes inside the car, all of them did not dare to talk. Kiel then kissed the back of Talia’s palm to make her feel that she is just fine and he is there beside her, always.

“Will I drop you here as well?” Margo asked Kiel as she stopped the car in front of Vionna’s house she lend for Talia.

“Yes, I will be with her,” he answered. “Tell them that I will be staying here for the meantime and I will visit you guys when I have time and will.”

Margo nodded her head. “Great, we will miss you, brother.”

The three of them went off the car. They invited Margo inside but since it was already very late in the evening and the Ramirez will look for her, she refuses their invitation. As she went off, they rest themselves.

“I can’t believe what happened to us,” Talia uttered while facing the vanity mirror, wiping her wet face with a towel. They just finished taking shower and they feel so fresh after being locked in that room for hours.

“Good thing there is a girl named Liah,” Kiel added and helped her preparing for bed. He was the one drying her hair using towel and a blower.

“What do you think her grandfather will do to her after knowing she let us out?” Talia could not help but think about that. Kiel then heaved a deep sigh and stared at her through the reflection of the mirror.

“There is no way he would be hurting her,” he then said.

“But there is a possibility,” Talia added. “I would like to get back there tomorrow and see if how she is, Kiel.”

“What?” Kiel was surprised to what she said. “That old man will do that again, Talia. He would make sure that –“

“No, babe,” she cut him off and smirked. “That is not it. We will be bringing cops with us and arrest him.”

Kiel blinked with the thought before he agreed. “That would be better. So, we are going tomorrow?”

“Yes.”

“And what if Liah loses family? There is no one left for her.”

That is when Talia stopped to look at Kiel. “We will bring her here, Kiel. She deserves better. We will raise her more good and we will treat her as our own daughter.”

Kiel beamed more, admiring her goodness. “You are always great more than anyone, my baby. That is why I love you so much.”

Talia just smiled and take a peck on his lips. After preparing to sleep, they lay themselves in their bed and had a rest because this day was too heavy for them. They were locked today and was able to escape today as well. Everything just happened so fast and everything was just like a dream that will forever stuck in their head.

“Seems like you two are having a good morning,” Plian said as soon as she saw them getting down from their room.

“And you seemed not,” Talia fired.

“Here is the breakfast,” she said with a sigh in subtlety. She was like there is something she wanted to say but she can not find a perfect time to announce it to them. They already sat on their seats and when they noticed Plian none of herself, Talia asked her.

“What is wrong? You have any problem?” Worry is written on her face. Kiel just watched them while he was serving their plates with food.

“The Zanea’s already know,” Plian said before she sat on her seat. “They will be here minutes later to get you out of Kiel. They will get you from here, Talia. And they will treat your child a curse.”

Talia creased her brows in disbelief before she let out a sarcastic laugh. “I am not going. If they will force me, I will make them kill me first.”

“Tal,” Kiel warned her because of her harsh month. “Let us talk to them in a nice way.”

“If they would listen to the both of you,” Plian said. “Anyway, let us eat first before they get here. And let’s not think of them even just once, Live your life, dear.”

“No matter what it takes,” Talia muttered. They started to eat and talk to other things, avoiding the Zanea’s so they would not trigger themselves. Talia can not believe how they treat her. She is part of the family, right? She has done good. She finished her studies despite of poor life, and she was able to work in a prestigious company. Everything is fine, not until the Zanea came across her life and bother her silent life again.

Talia could not help but to feel mad at them. They did nothing to her life but mess, they gave nothing to her but her miserable life. They left here and now, they are getting her back like they did nothing that hurts their daughter’s feelings.

Now, she feel like the Zanea’s were not her family anymore. Well, they are not really since then. When they push her away, their connection is over.

They were in the midst of laughing for having a good conversation when they head a car stopped outside of their house. They all stopped and looked at each other, thinking the same thing that who came are the Zanea’s.

“I guess they are already here to mess again,” Talia muttered in sarcasm and sipped on her glass of water. When the door of the house opened, from the kitchen, they saw her parents enter inside and with her three brothers following them and in the last row, it was Vionna.

“You came,” Plian stood up to welcome them, making them to look at the kitchen and saw Talia and Kiel in the table.

Trist smiled and ran after Talia, then she hugged her but Talia did not hug her back. She made her feel that she hates her, that she hates her family – that she hates the Zanea and she will loathe them forever in her whole existence.

“Talia, I miss you,” Trist whispered before she caress her back. Talia did not even showed them a smile.

“You are here to fetch me, right?” she asked and looked at the whole Zanea. “Well, I am not going.”

Trist blinked while some of them were surprised. Of course, the jerk Ysiah just chuckled, thinking that Talia is feeling herself and was like she was too special to them.

“You have to go home, Talia,” Ysmael said. “Now, let’s go and go back to your home.”

Talia shakes her head. She looked at Kiel that was just listening to them. Talia then reached his hand for guide because she might collapse in any second.

“No, dad. You can’t force me to go back in the mansion,” she said and smiled faintly. “This is my home and you are not. Leave my life in peace and bring the miserable estate with you.”
