57: Greatest

"You have to go with us, Talia."

Talia shakes her head, refusing. Then she forced a small chuckle and looked at her family that is giving her a begging look. "I can't, okay?" she said and gritted her teeth. "You can not force me to go with you. I am done with your family."

Trist tried to reach for Talia but she stepped back away. "Talia –"

"No, you can not change my mind, Mom. You know that I am pregnant? You can not accept it because you have plans for me? Then that will be it, I can not accept you too. It is easy as that," she said while clenching her jaw.

They were shut silent in disbelief and surprise. They did not know that that thing reached Talia's hearing. They did not expect her to know why they are here and especially, they did not expect her to react this way.

"Talia, calm down," Kiel whispered to her and held her hand. She cannot just yell around and do what she wants in the current time that will not cause good to her and their baby. Talia looked at him with her teary eyes.

"How, Kiel? I can't even be free –"

"We are not getting your freedom away from you," Eman said and creased his brows. "We are doing nothing, princess. Why are you reacting this way? We are here to visit you."

Talia let out a laugh in sarcasm. "So, you don't know? Well, your parents want me back after years of leaving me behind."

That is when Eman shut. Ysiah then heaved a deep sigh, getting annoyed with the conversation they are having. "It is not that we want you back, Talia. Who are you anyway?"

She looked at Ysiah. "Shut the fuck up, Ysiah. You are a dick."

Before Ysiah could fire back, Kiel held her hand. "I am sorry but she can't go with you. We are now leaving."

They were about to stop them when Plian motioned them not to. As they went out, Plian looked at the Zanea's. "Give her the life she wanted to live. She is happy and contented with their child and with Alexandro. She don't need you, Zanea."

No one dared to talk in shame. Yes, they should be a shame of themselves. They went there to get Talia without knowing that they are just making her life in a mess. That her life is way more better without them. They just cross by to be a hindrance of someone's life.

Kiel brought Talia to his car. Then, he started the engine. "Where are we going?" she asked, now silently sobbing.

Kiel reached her hand and kissed the back of her palm. "Stop crying, baby. We will go home. I will bring you to my unit."

She nodded her head and looked away after. "I can't take them anymore. I have to get out of this place."

"You will rest, hmm? Once we get there, I will come back to get our things. Are you fine with that?"

She smiled faintly and closed her eyes. "Yes, I am. Let's go, Kiel."

Kiel agreed and started to drive away. They did not look back at the house anymore. Talia cannot help but to get hurt. She love to live there, even when she is just days in the house, the nature made her to treasure her home. And when the Zanea's came, they urged her to leave.

While they were on their way, Talia rest by taking a nap. Kiel just carried her toward their room and after that, he made sure that she is safe before getting back there to get their things.

"They already left," said Plian when Kiel came inside. "Where is she, Kiel?"

He forced a smile. "I brought her to my unit."

"Why?" sounding disbelief, she asked.

"She can't stay in the place that the Zanea's owned, Plian. I will get our things for us to move there. We will start a new life, her and me."

Plian stared at him then sighed. "I will help you gather your things."

"Thank you."

It took them half hour to finish packing Talia and Kiel's things. Plian then smiled at him, a farewell smile. "See you when I see you. Tell Talia to visit here when she likes to."

Kiel nodded his head and embraced her lightly. "I will. We will miss you, Plian."

The old woman stopped her tears from falling and just nodded her head. When everything is already ready, Kiel hopped inside his car. As he started to drive away out of the place, Plian looked up for her tears are threatening to fall.

She will miss the two who made her life colorful somehow, once. She hopes to meet them again in the right time – the right time where everything is fine. Where everything will be quite perfect.

"My siblings will be here later," said Kiel while brushing Talia's hair in front of the vanity mirror. Yes, it has been his hobby when he has nothing to do. When they are preparing to sleep, he will help Talia to everything she wanted to do.

"Yeah, but I am thinking about Liah," she said and bit her lower lip. It has been weeks after they left the house of Vionna, they have been stocked inside their unit and they did not hear any news of Liah other than her being brought to an orphanage as her grandfather got arrested for violence. It was Margo who took care of the old man to get inside the jail like his son, Cage.

"You want to visit her?"

"Yes, or maybe get her out of there and make her live with us. Is that fine with you, Kiel?" she looked at him through the reflection of the mirror and beamed.

"Of course, love," he muttered and leaned over to plant a light kiss on her forehead. "Anything you want. I want Liah to be our family too."

"Then everything is fine, we will get her here and treat her like our own daughter."

Kiel grinned. "We now have a daughter, then."

"Yes, and she will call us her parents. I am her mother, mommy and you are his daddy."

"It is so good in the ear," Kiel heaved a deep sigh. "And I am eager to meet our child inside the womb. I will marry you, Talia. We are on it."

"Really?" her eyes widened in surprise. "You are on it? Not that we are pressuring ourselves, Kiel."

"We are not," he said. "We are taking it slow, Talia. Everything is fine, it is all about the will. Whenever you are ready because I am very willing to wait. Everything for you."

"That is why I love you so much," Talia whispered. "I am crazily into you, Kiel..."

"So am I," he said and took her lips passionately. He was about to carry her towards their bed and lay her down when they heard a knock on the door and it opened without even a warning.

"Oh, no, bro, what the fuck!" Margo cursed when she caught them in the bed, Kiel on top of Talia. They chuckled and get up.

"You came," Talia said and fixed herself. "Where is Hanz?"

"In the couch," Margo answered and hissed. "Why are you guys planned to have sex when you knew we are going? Sorry for the disturbance anyway."

"Nah, no worries," Kiel rolled his eyes. "There are whiskey inside the refrigerator. You can get it there, I will join you in a minute."

"I will, too," Talia said with a smile plastering on her lip. That is when Kiel looked at her with his left brow raise

"You can not drink alcohol, babe," he said and kissed her cheeks. "Bad for the baby," he then added, a whisper.

Talia pouted but ended up nodding her head in agreement. Kiel made her rest in the bed before he went out to see Margo and Hanz in the couch watching movies in the television. Alcohol was already in the table, they just waited for Kiel to get there so they can start. Yeah, they see each other to drink together since it has been months when they skipped their hobbies together.

"So, cheers to the first father of the Ramirez siblings," Margo said and poured a whiskey on Kiel's glass. They all chuckled as he accepted it. "And a bitter cheers for the broken man over here," and she handed for Hanz. "And me? Cheers for me for being fucking single."

"Cheers!" they said in chorus and drink the alcohol together. They had a talk about Kiel being father and it diverted to Hanz later on.

"So, how do you react, my bro?" Margo grinned at Hanz as a tease. "The brother you have been jealous of will be a dad soon. You think what you did for Karen is useless?"

Hanz hissed. The three of them were already sober and from Kiel and Talia's room, their conversation can be heard especially that Talia can not sleep yet. Their chitchat is making her smile, though. Their bond is greater.

"It is not useless because I gave justice to her death. I am grateful, shut up," Hanz responded.

"So you are grateful for killing Tali's parents?" Margo mentioned, making Talia's smiles to fade because of the sudden word from her.

"I am sorry about that, okay?" Hanz answered while Kiel is silently pouring alcohol on his glass. When it comes to Talia's parents death, he became silent because of guilt. He is sorry because the killer was a member of their family. "I am thankful for having justice but I did not expect that they would happen to be her parents, really. I have been sorry since day one but funny how I can't forgive myself. I hurt her and I am wishing myself to death."

Talia gasped and closed her eyes. "I forgive you, Hanz," she muttered as she really is. She is too good to not forgive him especially that they are family now.

"What about you, Kiel? How are you when you knew that it was Hanz?" Now Margo tilted her head to Kiel to ask him that.

Kiel tsked. "Are we seriously talking about this now? This was supposed to be fun."

"Yes, it will be fun. Just answer my question," Margo fired and even rolled her eyes hanging to show Kiel an obvious fact.

"All right, then," he was like surrendering. He drunk his glass first and wiped the side of his lips. "When I knew that it was him, I want to kill him. But my heart can just carry one punch on him."

Margo chuckled. "You love Hanz, are not you?"

"I love my family, Margo, Why are you asking obvious thing?"

Margo then laughed hard. "Cheesy, brother. My head is just spinning, fuck it."

As they continued to drink, that is when Talia fell asleep. She rest smiling and feeling so refreshing because she heard Hanz being so sorry, about his point of view without slapping it right in front of her face.

It was already midnight when Kiel lay himself beside Talia. He cleaned himself first from drinking alcohol while Margo and Hanz stayed inside their condo because they would not drive tipsy, they might crash themselves the hell out of them. They just sleep in the couch and Kiel gave them thick blankets so they would not feel cold sleeping.

Talia woke up with hands around her waist. She then smiled when she saw Kiel's sleeping face facing her area. She started at his face and remembered that he drunk last night so he should have went to bed late so he also woke up late, especially that he has no work so it is fine to feel himself resting.

"Babe..." Talia slowly called him, a mutter. Kiel groaned and hummed, motioning that he is awake and is listening. "Good morning," she then greeted, making him smile, still closing his eyes.

"It's a good morning, love," he said and hugged her. He then kissed the top of her head. "I love to wake up in the morning with you. Did you have a good sleep?"

"Yeah, I did. Come on, it's already eight in the morning. We are going to orphanage, right?"

"Yes," he agreed and opened his eyes to see her. "We are getting Liah. Starting this day, we will be her parents. Are you excited?"

She smiled. "Who would not? You're the daddy."

"And you're the gorgeous mommy," he added.

How lovely the thought, right? Being parents for them is the greatest happiness of all time.
