Getting Ready

Luisa’s POV

I didn’t sleep all through the night. Kingston didn’t sleep either. He kept trying to keep me calm, but I had a lot of things going through my head. I had handed Chris over to Jenny. Kingston had instructed the security in the house to increase immediately after we were out of the mansion. He didn’t believe Fabian would keep it a secret from Derek. According to him, Fabian was the loyal type, and it would be difficult for someone loyal to keep a secret from his boss. That didn’t help my anxiety, it only added to it.

All I did was pace around trying to figure out what hadn’t happened. I had never felt so paranoid in my life.

“I know, but what if he hurts Rena before we get there.”
