Chapter 23
The next morning Clara woke up and found herself in her bed nicely tugged in. She thought that Leo was the one who carried her to bed. She got up and went to the bathroom to freshen up and change, then she went downstairs. She saw everyone was having breakfast.
“Good morning, Aunt Clay.” Camellia said rushing towards her and gave her a hug.
“Good morning, Cam.” She said and patted her head.
'She looks much happier now that Andrew’s not here.’ She said to herself and smiled as she sat down on the chair.
“Did you have a good night's sleep princess?” Leo asked with a teasing tone.
“Yes. Why?” she asked a little irritated.
“Nothing.” He said with a smile.
It didn't felt like nothing to her.
Jasmin gave her toast and eggs with coffee for breakfast.
“So when did Andrew leave?” she asked casually as she sipped her coffee.
“Oh, he left after putting you to bed.” Angelina told her.

Clara's eyes closed tightly, involuntary at the loud bang. She waited for the bullet to take her life but it never came. She opened her eyes to see what had happened and the next thing surprised her. The bullet never went through the window but instead, it had left a really small dent on the window of the car. The man quickly tried to open the door but Andrew was faster. He locked all the doors with the press of a button. He started the car and drove it in the backward direction as fast as he could. The next morning Angelina woke up with a headache. She groaned as she tried to get up. She stopped realizing that someone was holding her. He was still fast asleep when his phone rang. He got up tiredly and answered his phone. There was a piece of paper stuck on his face. “Hello. This is Andrew Bloom speaking.” He answered in a sleepy tone, without looking at the caller ID. “Were you sleeping?” Clara asked. He looked at the caller ID with a frown and then answered her. “Yes. I was going to rest my eyes but I ended up falling asleep.” “If it was one of your employees I bet you would’ve given them an earful.” She said. Andrew rolled his eyes. “Haha, very funny.” He said sarcastically. “I wasn’t joking but I’m glad you found it funny.” He shook his head a little and realized that something was stuck on his face. “What are you doing?” he asked taking the piece of paper off. “I just got off work and am heading home. What about you are you still at your office?” He looked at the time and realized that it was way past working time.

“Clara!” she heard Leo’s voice. She looked up and saw that Leo and Jasmin were running towards her. Her tears started flowing again. She got up and ran towards Leo. Clara was stuck inside a dark place. She kept running and running until she found Andrew. She saw him coming towards her but then he stopped when he was close to her.
