Early the next morning, the entire Elena family was slaughtered without a trace of blood at the scene, and their heads were missing. However, all the doors and windows were locked. In a fit of rage, Massimo barged into Kathy's room, where she was blushing and lying on top of Alex, who was in the midst of thrusting.
Ignoring their naked bodies, Massimo roughly pushed them apart and threw Kathy to the ground.
"Isn't being in solitary confinement enough for you? What do you want?" he growled.
Kathy trembled in fear, covering her chest with her hands and barely wrapping herself in a carpet.
"Father, yesterday he impersonated a guard to deliver food to me and drugged me. He's the one who framed me for all this," she pleaded.
Massimo sighed at Alex. With Elena's family, only he remained as the last legitimate heir. Massimo didn't want to punish him too severely.
"Listen carefully, Alex. Since this is your first offense, I'm reassigning you to a prison job on the third floor. You are never to approach Kathy again," he ordered.
Alex's gaze was fixed on Kathy with a complicated expression.
"I want to marry Kathy. I love her. I'm willing to stay with her forever," he suddenly declared.
Massimo waved his hand, and a group of guards rushed in and took Alex away.
Massimo opened his hand, and a mirror floated in the air. It was a magical mirror, and it showed a video of the Elena family's brutal murder.
"You're really brave, aren't you? You're the one who slaughtered the entire family. You don't have me in your sights anymore, do you?" he accused Kathy.
Kathy trembled all over. She had been in solitary confinement yesterday and hadn't done anything. She didn't have the time or opportunity. How could it be her? Who was framing her?
"No, it's not me. Father, you took the keys away in front of so many people yesterday. I can't do magic and couldn't get into their house. It couldn't be me," she cried desperately.
Massimo grabbed Kathy by the throat with a fierce expression.
"The whole family knows you have a grudge against Elena. I trust you, but will they? Will your new pet Alex? Tonight might be your last," he threatened, tightening his grip.
Kathy's eyes widened in fear. She patted Massimo's arm, and he seemed to sense she had something to say, loosening his grip slightly.
"Father, we still have Laura! She could be the one who did it!" she gasped.
Massimo's hand relaxed somewhat.
"She's been acting strange recently, very strange. Let's use her as a scapegoat to attract attention. While the real culprit lets down their guard and shows their true colors, we'll catch them red-handed," he suggested.
Finally, Massimo released his grip, and Kathy fell heavily to the ground, coughing violently. He crouched down and touched her face.
"You're my only daughter. Well done," he praised, snapping his fingers.
Charlotte walked out with a blank expression, muttering, "Laura did it. I woke up in the middle of the night to prepare a midnight snack and saw her kill everyone with her own hands. Then she carried their heads and fled through the window. It was Laura. I saw it with my own eyes. It was Laura..."
Kathy was surprised. It seemed like Charlotte had been brainwashed.
There were spells in ancient books to brainwash people, but they required werewolf blood. What had her father gone through?
Massimo handed her a bottle of purple potion.
"Give this to Laura and take her to Elena's house before dawn. Don't let anyone see you," he instructed.
Kathy noticed that her father's palm didn't have any hair. According to legends, werewolves had hair on their palms. This should still be the father she knew. She took a deep breath, accepted the potion, and said, "Laura's abilities have been growing recently. She might be up to something behind our backs. Please be careful, Father."
"I got it. I know," Massimo replied, waving his hand and leaving with a group of servants who all had different appearances and blank expressions, muttering something.
It was very strange. Kathy furrowed her brows as she watched them leave. She had a bad premonition that Massimo was practicing some forbidden magic.
Meanwhile, Laura was sitting in Jhon's room, holding Ned in her arms. Beside her were the corpses of the Elena family and Jhon.
"Killing the Elena family leaves four more families. This is too slow. I could have wiped out your whole clan with a snap of my fingers. I'm losing patience," Laura said, looking at Ned's unusually thick hair and couldn't help but gently press it against his scalp. "You werewolves love to feast on flesh and blood, don't you? There's so much here. How could you ever finish it all?"
Ned looked down at the pile of corpses with contempt and grabbed Laura by the chin. "We only feast on the flesh and blood of the purest bodies. We wouldn't touch this filth."
Laura looked at his handsome face in the firelight and was momentarily captivated. Remembering their previous kiss, she tilted her head back and licked her lips.
Suddenly, Ned frowned and pulled away from her.
"Don't even think about developing feelings for a werewolf. You're just my food supply," he snarled.
Laura's eyes widened in shock, and her pupils constricted. She remembered her helplessness from the last time and tried to suppress her fear. Instinctively, she wanted to grab Ned by the neck, but he swatted her hand away, splitting her skin and revealing bone beneath.
"You think the same trick can trap me twice? You underestimate me," Ned sneered, ripping open Laura's shoulder and latching onto her with his fangs. Laura closed her eyes and allowed Ned to feed.
She felt weak all over but managed to retain a sliver of consciousness.
How could she control Ned?
An Alpha werewolf with mysterious powers. How could she control him? It seemed impossible.
According to the plan, Laura drank the tea laced with Kathy's potion and fell unconscious. Kathy took her to Elena's doorstep and was about to leave when she was hit over the head with a blunt object and knocked unconscious. The figure was tall and slender, wearing black tight clothing and a mask. They placed a large metal box in Kathy's arms and vanished in a flash.
Laura opened her eyes and whistled. Ned appeared. "You think I'm a dog, do you? Summoning me with a whistle," he teased as a pack of wolves ran towards them, their green eyes glowing eerily in the dark. They drooled on the ground, panting excitedly.
Laura picked up the stick and led the way, with the wolves following closely behind, wagging their tails.
"Let's go. It's time for the next family," she ordered.
Laura entered the adjacent drawing room, where several nobles were playing bridge while their wives nibbled on pastries, pretending to be elegant. They were horrified to see the pack of wolves and screamed in panic.
Ned flew swiftly around them, quickly slashing their vocal cords with his sharp claws. The wolves eagerly pounced on them, gnawing on their flesh and bones. The screams intertwined, making for a hair-raising scene.
Laura closed her eyes and quickly exited the room, kneeling on the ground and dry-heaving.
"I thought you would have gotten used to it after all this time," Ned whispered in her ear as he hovered close to her.
Laura looked confused. "I still can't accept this vicious act of revenge. Let's stop after dealing with Massimo and Kathy," she pleaded.
Ned said coldly, "Innocence is a crime. Forgiving your enemies is better than sacrificing yourself. You might as well offer yourself to me and reunite with your mother."
Laura clenched her fists, remembering her mother's injustice and everything Massimo and Kathy had done to her.
"No, I have to avenge my mother's death. If she's still alive, I have to find her and reunite with her," she declared determinedly.
Laura was about to return to the drawing room when Ned suddenly pulled her and Kathy into Elena's house.
"Massimo's coming. Quickly recite the spell," he urged.
Laura chanted the spell and fell into a fake death-like state. Ned hid in the darkness.
Massimo entered the drawing room with his followers, and the wolves pounced on the remaining nobles, leaving only bones. Seeing Massimo and his group, they immediately turned on them but strangely avoided Massimo, even seeming fearful of him.
Ned found it odd that Massimo seemed to have werewolf blood but didn't exhibit any werewolf characteristics. His eyes weren't centered, and he had no hair. Could it be that his transformation wasn't complete?
Massimo took the sword and hit the dog, causing it to scatter and run away.
A sudden loud bell sounded, and no one knew who had sounded the alarm. It was particularly ear-splitting in the night, and the tribe members were awakened and fled frantically. Massimo didn't have time to cover up, and was seen by many of the tribe members.
One child shouted:
"Murdered! Murdered!
Years later, as the sun cast its golden rays over the peaceful countryside, Ned and Laura sat on their porch, looking out over their lush garden. Their hair was now white with age, but their eyes still sparkled with the same mischievous glint as in their younger days.Laura tended to the flowers while Ned tinkered with a small device, his mind still filled with ideas and inventions. They had grown old together, side by side, and their love had only deepened with time. One day, a young boy appeared at their cottage. He introduced himself as a descendant of one of their old friends and said that he had come to seek their wisdom. The boy, named Alex, was a curious and adventurous soul, and he wanted to know more about the legendary heroes who had saved the kingdom.Laura and Ned smiled at the youngster's enthusiasm. They invited him to stay and share their stories, their experiences, and the wisdom they had gained over the years. Alex was eager to learn, and he listened intently as they
Leo spoke up to Halen, "Prince Halen, something this bizarre must be caused by some kind of supernatural force. I've heard of a similar incident happening in a kingdom to the east."Upon hearing Leo's words, Halen's eyes lit up, and he called Leo close to him, eager to hear more.Leo began to speak in a measured tone, "Prince Halen, it is rumored that a curse was placed on the head of the patriarch of that family, causing a series of strange events that ultimately led to the deaths of all its members."Halen was taken aback and asked, "Do you know who the patriarch of that family was?""I've heard rumors that his name was Massimo Legoza!" Leo replied.Halen's eyes widened in surprise, "What! How could it be him?"Seeing Halen's reaction, Leo pretended to be oblivious and asked, "Why, Prince Halen, do you know him?""He's the Duke of our family. I never knew he was once the patriarch of a family," Halen said, sounding alarmed.Leo feigned concern, "Oh, Prince Halen, then you must be ca
The guard hurriedly entered the study to report. "King, something terrible has happened. The Queen... The Queen is gone.""What?" King Naumes stumbled slightly, his face registering disbelief."King, the Queen is dead," the guard said tremulously, afraid of the king's anger."What! Impossible! My mother was fine. How could she be dead? You stupid guard, shut your mouth!" Halen looked incredulous, contradicting the servant and kicking him to the ground.King Naumes pointed at the guard, his voice trembling. "Where is the Queen? Tell me where she is!""King, she's at the castle gate. The doctor believes she fell from the terrace," the guard said.King Naumes rushed to the castle gate, his heart pounding. He saw the Queen's closed eyes and the blood staining her lips, her blood soaking into the ground. The king embraced the queen, shaking her body and calling her name desperately. But she wouldn't respond to him like she used to, and the king howled in despair."Why? Why?" The king, who
Ned gently placed the handkerchief back over Laura's face and patiently explained, "If you don't wear this, Massimo will recognize you instantly when you come across him. It will be difficult to carry out our revenge then."Laura found Ned's words reasonable and didn't protest further. That evening, Ned and Laura were standing on the top floor of the castle, admiring the view. "Laura, what do you think we should do now?" Ned knew that with Massimo's return, Laura would be eager to take the next step."It's time we create something interesting to celebrate Massimo's return," Laura said with a glint in her eye.Ned understood Laura's intention and asked, "Who do you want to be the first to initiate this?""Of course, it should be our esteemed First Prince. I want him to go down and fetch washing water for my sister
Nevin slowly approached Laura and placed his hands around her waist. "Could you be my princess consort, replacing the previous one?" he asked. Laura felt a sense of disgust as she heard this. She almost pushed him away, but then she thought that being close to the prince might provide an opportunity to exact revenge on the princess consort. So she pretended to be bashful and remained silent. To Nevin, Laura's silence seemed like acquiescence. He continued, "Alright, then from now on, you will maintain the schedule of the previous princess consort and take her place. You won't have to do any cleaning; I'll have the servants do it for you."Just as he finished speaking, Halen walked in and applauded, saying, "Brother, you're really in high spirits! The princess consort has just left, and you're already cozying up to her servant." Laura, sensing Halen's arrival, discreetly made her way out, but lingered near the door.
The knife pierced through the princess's body, and she slowly collapsed to the ground.Everyone was horrified by the princess's actions. In the distance, Ned watched the scene with a smile."This family is really interesting," he said.Nevin's eyes widened as he watched the princess lie motionless on the ground.Halen immediately ran over, cradling the princess's body in his arms. "Why? Why did you do this? You didn't have to protect me," he asked, confused.Blood continued to pour from the princess's mouth as she trembled and spoke. "Because you were so good to me, and I knew all about your plans," she said."You knew, but you still helped me? Why are you so foolish?" Halen was shocked to learn that the princess had been aware of his schemes."Because...because you were one of the few people in this castle who were kind to me. Even
