Baby Prince
After Charlotte and Jamie left for the hospital Shane and I headed back to the palace. I felt ashamed that I blew up at her right before she went into labour.
"What's wrong my love?" Shane asked as he pulled me close.
I looked up at him and shook my head. We continued to walk in silence until we got to the room. Shane stopped in front of the door and sighed. I rubbed my hand up his arm making a low moan rise from his chest.
"Let's go in." I said sliding around him and opened the door.
He shuffled in behind me and flopped onto the bed while I went to the bathroom. I came out and saw he was in the same spot so I approached him. He sat upright and pulled me into his lap burying his nose in my hair and breathing in my scent. I cradled his head before speaking lightly.
"Do you think we made the wrong decision?" I asked causing him to up at me confused.

After driving for hours my eyes were puffy and red. My throat was so dry and sore from crying and yet all I could do was hold my stomach protectively and silently sob. It was after we had passed a horrific battle at our northern border and entered the rogue nation when the driver finally slowed down and drove normally. My eyes shot open causing me pain from the brightness of the room. I squinted and blinked trying to center myself.
