"Mom you'll see me before the babies born." I said as she refused to let me out of her hug.
"I know I'm just so happy for you." She said through tears.
I breathed heavy as I held back tears. After our happy news the other day everyone except mom, dad, Jamie and Charlotte had gone home. It had been happiness and sadness at the same time. My brothers were back in their own packs protecting them as alphas and I was next to Shane as his Queen. He had tried to shield me from my responsibilities since I told him I was pregnant. I had to put my foot down since I'm not even showing yet.
"OK mom the baby need oxygen." I said when she squeezed tighter.
"Sorry sweetie." She said pulling back wiping her eyes.
Dad came up behind her and wrapped his arms around both of us.
"My two girls. You call us if you need anything and we will be here in a heartbeat." Dad said before pulling mom closer to the car.

It was early morning when I was awoken to knocking on the door. I realized Shane wasn't beside me and slid out of bed to go and see what was happening. After driving for hours my eyes were puffy and red. My throat was so dry and sore from crying and yet all I could do was hold my stomach protectively and silently sob. It was after we had passed a horrific battle at our northern border and entered the rogue nation when the driver finally slowed down and drove normally.
