Chris fit as Alpha just like he was destined to the only problem was it had been 3 months since his 18th birthday and he had not found his mate yet. After becoming Alpha our neighboring packs had begun to invite him to meetings and events in hopes that he might be mated to one of their daughters. He had visited ten packs and had yet to find his mate.
“Don’t worry darling.” Moms voice soft and calming. “You will find your mate. For some it takes time. You will find our new Luna in no time. Just relax and focus on the pack.” Chris nodded and hugged mom but I could feel his stress across the room.
“Your mother’s right.” Dad chimed in. “Your mom and I got lucky finding each other at her birthday. Some Alphas spend years looking for their mate. I know you will find her when the time is right.” Great dad that will make him feel better I thought to myself.
Mom turned and slapped his leg.
“What?” He said.
Chris had decided that was enough of a pep talk and retreated to his office I waited a minute before knocking on the door.
“Enter.” Chris replied.
I elbowed the door open and put a coffee and slice of cake in front of Chris.
“What’s up Chris? I can tell you’re stressed.” I asked as I sat opposite him.
“I’m fine Scar.” He said as he took a sip. “It’s just Kyle found his mate so fast and without even trying. I don’t know if I will give our pack a new Luna at this rate.” He looked sad as he said this every word broke my heart.
“Chris you will find your mate. I know you will, everything has a way of working itself out. Trust me big bro everything will work out.” I said as I stood and rounded the desk to hug him.
“Besides you aren’t allowed to be sad this weekend.” He looked up at me with both surprise and confusion in his eyes.
“Um why?” he asked.
“Because we are going to the city remember?” I replied with a smile, yes that made him laugh.
“Oh right your boyfriend is being crowned.” Chuckling to himself.
“Ok first of all he’s NOT my boyfriend and second we are meeting Kyle and Lily to shop first. That’s what I’m excited for.” I replied while narrowing my eyes at him.
Heading down to the car with my small overnight bag ready for the weekend ahead. Mom and dad hugged both Chris and I before we hopped into the back seats and headed towards Sapphire City.
“Scar we’re here.” Chris said gently as he shook my shoulder lightly. Waking from my haze and looking out the window at the city lights shining like fireflies.
“It’s amazing at night.” I said looking around.
Last time I was here in the city I was with my whole family for official pack business. Of course dad was at the palace the whole time and mom took us kids to see the tourist sites and keep us occupied.
“Yeah it is. Always looks great at night here.” Chris said mirroring my thoughts.
I smiled at him as we pulled up to the hotel we are staying in.
“Lily and Kyle should be here already. I got a text when we we’re about 30 minutes out saying they had arrived in the city.” Chris said as he got out of the car.
I followed him into the hotel lobby my jaw almost hit the floor at the sight of it. It was wide open with marble floors and amazingly detailed pillars running along the walls, even the signs were elegant in golden cursive writing. We followed the arrow to reception. As Chris spoke to a tall blonde woman behind the reception desk about our booking I pulled out my phone and text Lily.
“Hey we are here Chris is checking us in. I’ll let you know my room number once I have it.” I sent and not even a minute later I got a text back.
“Hey it’s Kyle I’ll let Lily know when she’s out of the shower.” Thanks Kyle didn’t really need to know that but then I’d probably be waiting an hour.
Chris turned as I scrunched my face up at my phone screen before storing back in my pocket.
“Here we are in room 501 and 502. What’s with the face?” Chris said while handing me my room key.
“Nothing lets head up and stash our bags I’m starving.” I said heading towards the lifts.
Up on our floor we headed to the rooms. My room was huge, it had a massive King size bed and a bathroom that puts the one I have at home to shame. With a steam shower and stand alone clawfoot bath. His and hers sinks and from what I could tell under floor heating. I headed to the bed and pulled my phone out and saw a text from Lily.
“Sorry was in the shower. We are in room 321 let me know when you guys are ready for dinner I know a place.” I knocked on Chris’s door after I told Lily to meet us in the lobby and we went down.
“Hey you two!” I heard Lily call out before I saw her.
We walked over and took turns hugging each other before we decided where to go for food.
“There’s a restaurant just around the corner that was really nice last time we came here.” Chris said nodding to Kyle.
“Yeah I remember it lets go there.” Kyle responded.
Lily and I both nodding trusting my brothers and being hungry. As they started walking we trailed behind them arm in arm giggling about gossip like nothing had changed over the past few months.
After a day of trying on elegant gowns and shoes, giggling and gushing over each other like old times. Lily and I look at the guys and they look so bored I actually felt a little sorry for them. During our first set of dresses I noticed that Lily was sporting my brothers’ mark. It was something actually very beautiful it was a crescent moon with 5 stars around it. “The stars are the number of pup’s we are supposed to have.” Lily said with a twinkle in her eye. I smiled at her knowing we had always talked about our love for children and Lily had wanted them for as long as I had known her. Heading towards lunch as our stomach’s growled. After lunch Lily and I were discussing shoes to go with our new dresses and the boys looked li

Standing in the training area, breathing heavy as my whole body ached. Sparing with Chris had never been hard for me but with him being Alpha now he had gotten so much stronger. My lip was split and I was pretty sure I had a dislocated shoulder but I was pushing through the pain. Right as I was blocking another of Chris’ unrelenting attacks. “Ok that’s time everyone thank you for your hard work today go home and rest.” Mr. Hue’s voice stopped everyone’s fighting. Seeing the state of his little sister Chris looked like he regretted not holding back more“Sorry sis I forgot I have Alpha str
After a lot of congratulations and promising I would call her back to discuss details after my tour with the Prince. I headed back downstairs to see Jamie sitting on the couch playing a driving game against my younger brothers. Smiling to myself as I walked up. “Sorry for the wait. I got some news from my best friend at Opal Moon.” I said. James looked at me with a bright beaming smile knowing it would be something to do with Kyle I nodded at him and rubbed his head. “Not a problem, these two have been beating me bad. I’m glad you’re here to rescue me.” He said as he stood and bowed to my brothers.
Feeling numb, confused and warm as I sat on my bed thinking of what to do next. Unable to think properly I decided to call Lily remembering that I promised to call her once Jamie left. “Hey how’s being engaged?” I asked her as she picked up. “It’s amazing. Are you ok sis you sound weird?” She asked me. My breathe caught as I tried to form the words in my mind. “Um yeah just had a weird day.” I said. She hummed in response knowing
After a night of celebrations, hugs and a lot of congratulations Lily and I fell asleep on the couch together. Waking up the next morning in my bed confused before I shrugged it off and headed to the bathroom. The warm water felt like it was washing away the stress and worry I had been holding for the past few months. After a very long shower I climbed out and sat wrapped in a towel on my bed. Thoughts jumbled in my head making my head feel heavy shaking my head I dried off and walked to my closet. After pulling on black jeans and a fluffy sweatshirt I headed down to find Lily digging through the fridge. “Having fun in there?” I asked with a laugh. “Everything is making me feel gross no matter what I eat I feel l
After a long day of dress and shoe shopping we had picked out a wedding dress for Lily that had made us both cry, it was a gorgeous pure white silk gown with sequins lining the sweetheart neckline and train, and a bridesmaid dress that had made Lily growl and wolf whistle at me. It hadn’t been my type of dress with a very low cut plunging neckline in a deep blue. Of course Lily had to pick out bright red clashing shoes because; “A girl has to have a pop of color in an outfit.” This made us burst into laughter scaring the poor sales assistant who was helping us. After a quick dinner at a fancy restaurant with Kyle, in which he was bored out of his mind by the girl talk and said he was really missing Chris right now, we continued to a high end store to start step one of Lily’
