April 4, 2005 – noon (Winnipeg Time)

After a few hours of sleep, Coralis and Frank woke up. Their flight to Montreal was at 15:00.

“I’ll get a new cell phone this week, I’ll get it from the same place I got the one I had, but while we’re here and have some time before our flight, we’ll stop at an elemental hub for a new hologram. I’ll need one before tomorrow.”

“How far is it from here?”

“About 30 minutes by air. The djinns have a hub closer, but I’d rather avoid it if I can. There is a pixie village near a small human town, we can take a taxi from there to get to the airport.”

On the way there, Frank heard his phone a few times, but he didn’t want to let go of Coralis to answer.

“It might be best to tell them to come over tonight,” said Coralis as she was hovering around her landing spot, gradually losing her altitude.

“Are you sure you want to see the family tonight? You know they can wait. I’d prefer to have you all for myself tonight,” said Frank, kissing her neck.

“I know, but un

September 14, 2005“That was quite the day,” said Erik, grabbing a few beers out of the refrigerator and distributing them to the others after Frank closed the door behind them.“We knew the fight wasn’t over, I was talking about that with the shadows just before Solek called,” said Coralis, removing her cloak soaked in blood.“Are you guys hungry? I’ll order you food if you are,” said Frank.“Wait, so I don’t need to find the nearest hub to grab food at 3 in the morning?” said Chiwa, washing the blood off her hands over the kitchen sink.“Nah, food will come to you. Some places are open and deliver all day and all night,” said Frank, watching Coralis cleaning her katana.“Our response time was quick, even with a quick stop to grab weapons and tools. The vampires there are a faction the CMMA needed to make amend with, so today’s event will also serve to prove the need for this reform,” said Panjik.“True. I’m sure Charlie will call me when they hear about it. Solek’s clan answers to t

September 13, 2005 Erik entered the bathroom to shower as Coralis walked out of it. Following their meeting the previous night, Sebastian and Stephanie returned home, and Gus went with them“You missed the morning news report when you were in the shower, but I’m sure it’s gonna be talked about all week,” said Frank, giving her a cup of coffee while kissing her.“That’s an understatement,” said Samantha.“What did I miss?”“The end of the witch-hunt as we know it,” said Henry.“SERIOUSLY?”“Yes, seriously. At least in this country. They announced the end of the witch-hunt here, but like in the European Union, witchcraft, as per their definition, is still illegal,” said Frank.“As per their definition? You mean the act of summoning demons, or is there more to it?” said Coralis.“The act of summoning demons, which always was punishable by death when caught by your people, any activities aimed to take possession and control someone else’s soul,” said Frank, with his arms wrapped around h

September 12, 2005 – 20:55 (Montreal Time)“Sonylla! I didn’t know I’d see you here!” said Matasia.“You two know each other?” said Coralis.“Yeah! Well… Kind of… my brother knows her better, but ooh Holy gods from above, he’ll be so pissed off if he hears I now work with Matasia, I love it! Is she joining us?”“I am… provided no bad blood with you?”“Girl! I should be the one telling you this! My bro cheated on you, how in gods world can he do that?” said Sonylla, hugging her. “When I saw you fighting with Blue in South Africa from the CMMA war room, I would have gotten wet if I wasn’t mated, that was so hot!”“You didn’t tell me you knew each other that night.”“How about I tell you how I know Matasia when you tell me about Plurio’s demise?”“Fair. The past is what it is and sadly, this is not the time for story night.”“You were involved in Plurio van Lur’s gruesome demise?” said Matasia.“That cherub statue will tell you all about it, and the one beside it will confirm,” said Hen

September 12, 2005 – 20:00 (Montreal Time)“I followed the instructions given by the Core Elders at today’s meeting. Yesterday, before the announcement, they registered each district as some type of organization. The district headquarters isn’t a personal purchase, it’s what you’d call a business expense. I signed everything as a representative D.VIII.”“Smart, but that doesn’t tell me what name you used. Even as a representative, you still have to spell out a name.”“I considered using Coralis Golmar, an obsolete name, but one of the mayor counsellors I met yesterday was there, which I think got her excited, so I kind of had to use Blue Thunder as a spelled-out name of D.VIII.”“Which is even better, I think. The place is crumbling down, they desperately wanted to sell it to someone serious about investing in it and have it restored as quickly as possible. On the public record, the place has been sold to an organization called D.VIII, the name of the person who signed the deed is irr

September 12, 2005 – 11:30 (Winnipeg Time)“They took notes of what she did?” said Sebastian, smirking.“Yes, and honestly, they wanted her to burn everyone when she got captured in Sri Lanka. They understood why she didn’t and admired how resilient she was, but had she been killed in there, they would have expected her mate to raise an angry mob against her captors and betrayers.”“He would have, of that, I’m sure,” said Sebastian, seeing Coralis approaching them with Eva.“He would have what?”“Had you been executed in jail, your mate would have led the angry mob,” said Emery.“Hmm yeah, I’m sure that’s exactly what he would have done. He wanted me to kill them all when I was in there.”A few minutes later, Coralis and Sebastian took off and headed toward the city hall to inquire about abandoned properties.“Raymond was right,” said Coralis, standing in front of a dilapidated building in the old part of the city.“I can picture how it would look like once we’re done repairing and re

September 12, 2005 – 09:50 (Winnipeg Time)“Emery! Blue Thunder! Don’t stay there, come in!” said Ellya, appearing in front of them.“For a minute, we weren't sure if we were at the right place!” said Coralis.“Don’t get fooled by what you see, Yalor has been experimenting all night with wards and glamour.”“That certainly explains the smell of elven herbs,” said Eva.“I’m happy to see you here, Eva and Sebastian. Over the years, you two have worked closely with both Blue and Emery, but if I’m to take a guess, I’d say Eva is here as Emery’s second and Sebastian is here as Blue’s.”“Of course, I’d work with Blue! No offence, Emery," said Sebastian.“You can’t take the flyball out of them, Ellya, you should know that,” said Emery as they walked toward the door.“No, I suppose you can’t. I think I remember now Tobly saying that Sebastian Larameer had joined Blue Thunder, but he has been complaining all day. I did not pay attention to his ramble.”“Sebastian has always been Blue’s beta, I
